Recharged Cowboys Face Dominant Patriots on NFL Odds Board

A cross-conference tilt will pit two of the game?s highest profile quarterbacks against each other this Sunday, as the New England Patriots host the Dallas Cowboys as favorites on the NFL odds board.

Fresh off a pair of wins, and with a 4-1 record, it's hard not to lean towards Tom Brady and the Pats over a Cowboys team struggling to keep Tony Romo on the field. Unless the bye week in Week 5 was enough to nurse the hobbled quarterback completely back to health, we may see some similar themes continue in Week 6.

According to Bodog?s online sportsbook, the Cowboys have just 30/1 odds of winning the Super Bowl. Had it not been for the constant concern over the man under center, or Dallas' early sub-par record against less-than-impressive opponents, the mark might be slightly higher, but even when the Cowboys have won, it hasn't been convincing.

In Dallas' two victories (over San Francisco and Washington), they held a combined five-point advantage (with a net point differential of -2 through Week 5), meanwhile, the Patriots have rattled off four touchdown-or-more victories in five contest for a point differential of 46. There's a reason they have 4/1 odds on the NFL futures board while Dallas struggles to stay relevant.

If the Cowboys can somehow solve Brady while successfully keeping Romo in one piece, a victory could essentially redefine their season - especially in the unpredictable NFC East where even the Philadelphia Eagles are 1-4.
