The Miami Heat and the Detroit Pistons clash for the second Tuesday in a row and this time around BetAnySports
has opened the Pistons as three-point home favorites. This follows the
Heat’s 107-89 victory last Tuesday as 4.5-point home favorites. The
total stayed UNDER the closing 202-point line in that game and it has
been set at 205.5 points this time around . After overnight betting the
line now sits at Detroit -2 against the spread and the total is sitting
at 201. Tip-off from the Palace for this Tuesday’s rematch is set for
7:30 p.m.

The Heat are still battling Atlanta and Boston for the No. 3 seed in the
East with two games left to play in the regular season. Including last
week’s win against the Pistons, Miami is 3-1 both straight-up and
against the spread in its last four games and the total has stayed UNDER
BetAnySports’ closing line in six of its last nine contests. The Heat
will have to finish things up on the road where they are 19-20 both SU
and ATS this season.

Hassan Whiteside returned to Miami’s starting lineup in the team’s
118-96 victory against Orlando on Sunday as a 9.5-point favorites and he
made an immediate impact with 18 points and 15 rebounds. Dwyane Wade
added 17 points in the winning cause with four of five Miami starters
accounting for 74 of the total 118 points scored. The Heat are ranked 23rd in the NBA in scoring with 100.2 points per game, but they jump to fifth in points allowed (98.5).

Detroit will be making its first trip to the playoffs since the
2008/2009 season after clinching a berth with last Friday’s 112-99
victory against Washington as a six-point home favorite on BetAnySports’
closing line. The Pistons have now won nine of their last 12 games SU
and they are 3-1 ATS in their last four contests. The total has gone
OVER in their last two games after staying UNDER in their previous four
outings.

Reggie Jackson is one of the main reasons why Detroit is finally headed
back to the postseason. He put-up 39 points in Friday’s win over the
Wizards and on the year he is averaging a team-high 18.8 PPG. The
Pistons are averaging 101.9 points a game and they climb all the way to
third in the NBA in rebounds with 46.3 a game. Defensively, they are
allowing an average of 101.3 PPG.

While there is still something on the line for both teams in this
contest, I like Detroit’s chances to avenge last Tuesday’s loss with a
SU win on its home court this time around that also covers BetAnySports’ current two-point betting line.
