Golden State Looks for Knockout Blow Against Spurs

Golden State Warriors

Golden State One Final Punch Away From Finals

The Golden State Warriors will be looking for the final knockout blow to the injury riddled San Antonio Spurs at AT&T Center. With Tony Parker and Kawhi Leanord out for the Western Conference finals the Spurs have been giving a valiant effort, but don't have the overall talent to keep pace with the Warriors. You can add David Lee to the list of injured Spurs as well. He is having left knee issues.

No team in NBA playoff history has come back to win a series after losing the first three games. The chances that the Spurs, with or without injured Kawhi Leonard, are marginal at best. I guess you could say that the chances are slim and none and slim is saddling up the horse to leave town.

Oddsmakers opened the Warriors as -10-point favorites versus the Spurs, while the game's total opened at 216.5. The line has held steady, but the total is now at 218.

San Antonio was a 120-108 loser in its last match at home against the Warriors. They failed to cover the +9.5-point spread as underdogs, while the total score of 228 sent OVER bettors to the payout window.

Golden State got 33 points from Kevin Durant, in the route of the Spurs. 17 of which came consecutively during the third quarter after the Spurs closed within 69-65. Golden State's waves of talented players came alive when the Warriors needed them. Golden State has now won all 11 games in this postseason. They swept the Portland Trail Blazers and the Utah Jazz before taking the first three games in the conference finals. The Warriors have victories in 26 of its past 27 overall contests.
