Bengals & Steelers Fierce Rivalry On Display

Monday Night Football will be on tilt when the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals meet at Paul Brown Stadium. ESPN will have the coverage and kickoff will be around 8:30 pm EST. This may be the NFL's fiercest rivalry and it is in Prime-Time.

The Steelers won the first meeting of 2017 in Pittsburgh, 29-14. Both teams are coming off Week 12 wins. The Bengals are hoping to return the beat-down.

The Steelers are riding a six-game win streak. They have beaten the Bengals five straight times and 8 of the last 9 meetings.

Oddsmakers opened the Steelers as -6.5-point favorites versus the Bengals, while the game's total opened at 43. The Steelers are now 4-point favorites and the total has held steady at 43.

Bengals Defense Will be Key

The Bengals finally had their own strong showing in the run game last week. It was in the 30-16 win over the Cleveland Browns. Led by rookie running back Joe Mixon, the Bengals hammered out 152 rushing yards.

Cincinnati is fifth in the NFL in pass defense. They only allow 203.8 yards a game. The Bengals are 10th in the NFL in points allowed at 19.5 per game.

Brown has faced the Bengals defense 15 times over his career. That encompasses 14 regular-season games and one playoff game. He went over 100 yards only three times. The most recent one was in the playoffs after the 2015 season. Brown has only 5 career TD's against the Bengals.

Steelers Brown will be Key for Win

Last time out for Pittsburgh, they were a 31-28 winner as they battled the Green Bay Packers at home. The Steelers failed to cover in the match as a -14-point favorite, while 59 combined points moved the game OVER for totals bettors.

Antonio Brown comes into the game playing at an MVP level. He leads the league in receptions with 80. He also leads the league in yards with 1,195. Six times this season he has passed the 100-yard receiving mark. The Bengals held Brown under 100 in their last meeting.
