76ers Look Not Wanting to Give Heat Any Momentum



The Philadelphia 76ers are on the brink of the second round in the NBA playoffs. First they must get past the Miami Heat Tuesday night at home in Game 5 of this series. The Philadelphia 76ers are winners of 19 of their last 20 games. they are one victory away from advancing to the Eastern Conference semifinals.

 The Heat couldn’t tie up the series on Saturday. Instead they went down three games to one after a 106-102 loss at home. Dwyane Wade came off the bench to score 25 points. Goran Dragic added 20 points for the Heat.

Miami hit just 13 of their 25 free-throw attempts. The Heat were also outrebounded 57-43. They did force 26 turnovers out of the 76ers.

JJ Redick netted 24 points while Ben Simmons had 17 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists for the 76ers. Simmons became the first rookie player since Magic Johnson in 1980 to put up a triple-double in a playoff game. Joel Embiid added 14 points and 12 rebounds for the 76ers.

Philly has not won a playoff series since the 2012 postseason. Philadelphia was also just 7-of-31 from the three-point line.

The 76ers are 3-1 SU and ATS in this playoff series against the Heat. Two of the four games so far have come in over the posted total.
