NBA Eastern Conference Finals Has Reached Pinnacle Game 7

Eastern Conference Finals

Celtics and Cavs Both Banged Up and Ready to Rumble

Game Seven of the NBA's Eastern Conference Finals is amongst us. It should be a classic. The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics take both of their banged up squads to talk on Sunday when they battle at TD Garden. The Celtics have found new potential superstars and the Cavs are finding out how much they can lean on King James.

Oddsmakers opened the Celtics as -2-point favorites versus the Cavaliers, while the game's total opened at 201.5.  The total has slipped to 198.5 and the line is not Boston -2.5.

King James scored 46 points in another elimination-game for the Cavaliers in Cleveland on Friday night. Now James returns to the scene of his 2012 magic with the Heat. He is going to try to will the Cavs to a win in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals Sunday night.

This will not be an easy task for James and his hobbled teammates. They will look to hand the Celtics their only loss in 11 postseason home games. The task got a lot tougher Saturday.

It was announced that Kevin Love is in the league's concussion protocol and is out for Game 7. He banged heads with Jason Taytum and had to leave Game 6.

Boston Looks to Keep From Making Celtics History in Eastern Conference Finals

The Celtics have never lost a series they've led 2-0. This postseason has made it 36 and 37 straight with this year's first two rounds.

Boston took the first three home games in the series by an average of 17 points. They already have one Game 7 home win under its belt in the postseason after knocking off the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round.

Rozier scored a series-high 28 points on 10-of-16 shooting in Game 6. He had slumped to eight points on 3-of-15 in Game 5.

Jaylen Brown is averaging 20.8 points in the series.

Can James Make it to 8 Straight NBA Finals Appearances

James is seeking his eighth straight trip to the NBA Finals. He comes in averaging 34.9 in Game 7s. That is including his 45 to help eliminate the Indiana Pacers in this year's first round. He has averaged 34 per game in going 13-9 in elimination games for his career.

In Game 6 of the 2012 Eastern finals he has a stat line of 45 points, 15 rebounds and five assists. This helped to keep the Miami Heat alive before they won Game 7 back home.

In this series lebron has averaged 39 points per game at home. That drops to 27.7 per in the three games in Boston. Love is averaging 13.9 points and 10.0 rebounds this postseason.

George Hill scored a postseason-best 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting in Game 6. Kyle Korver is 10-of-17 from 3-point range over the last four games.
