Boston College Eagles

Boston College improved to 2-0 after last week's easy win. Anthony Brown only played one quarter after tossing four touchdowns in the season opener against UMass. He will be rested and can have a big game against Wake Forest's weak pass defense.

AJ Dillon had 149 rushing yards and three touchdowns on six carries against Holy Cross. He's also a player to watch on Thursday afternoon. Kobay White leads Boston College with 112 receiving yards. Although they've faced two easy opponents, this offense has looked unstoppable.

The Boston College defense held Holy Cross to only 194 total yards last week. UMass scored just 21 points against them. Wake Forest is easily the toughest opponent they have seen this season.

Boston College has allowed just 35 points in two games and they've been solid on both sides of the ball so far.

Wake Forest Demon Deacons

Wake Forest is also 2-0 after beating Towson last week. Sam Hartman had 242 passing yards with two touchdowns and an interception. He has four touchdowns in two games. He's thrown three interceptions though. Boston College has a strong defensive line which could cause some issues.

Demon Deacon running back Cade Carney led the way against Towson. He finished with 130 rushing yards and one touchdown on 19 carries. Carney now has 184 rushing yards in two games. Hartman's main weapon is Greg Dortch. He has tallied 243 receiving yards in two games.

The Boston College secondary struggled in week one against UMass. Dortch can be the x-factor for them in this game if he gets protection. Wake Forest has scored 74 points in two games. Boston College's defense will be a tough test for them.

Their pass defense struggled last week, conceding 345 receiving yards against Towson.

College Football Trends:

The Boston College Eagles are:

10-1-1 ATS in their last 12 games overall

13-3 ATS in their last 16 road games against a team with a winning home record

34-15-2 ATS in their last 51 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are:

3-7 ATS in their last 10 Thursday games

0-4 ATS in their last four games overall

0-4 ATS in their last four games after allowing more than 280 yards passing in their previous game

Boston College is the strong play here. Their pass defense is outstanding and it was on display last week when they held Holy Cross to just 66 passing yards. Add that to Wake Forest surrendering 345 passing yards to Towson last week and it's clear that this might not end well.
