deGrom has been almost unhittable
Jacob deGrom (8-8, 1.68 ERA, 0.98 WHIP) allowed one earned run on eight hits and a walk with 10 strikeouts over eight innings to get a no-decision in a 2-1 loss against the Cubs last Tuesday.
deGrom has allowed just six earned runs over his last six starts (43 2/3 innings) to lower his ERA from 1.82 to 1.68. Opponents are hitting just .208 against deGrom and he's second in the National League with 182 innings pitched, second with 224 strikeouts and third with an 0.98 WHIP.
