The Atlanta Falcons are 3-point dogs faves as they battle the Panthers - Handicappers Hideaway

Betting on Falcons Football

Falcons and Panthers Battle for NFC South Lead

If familiarity breeds contempt, there should be animosity aplenty on
Sunday when the Carolina Panthers and the Atlanta Falcons meet at
Georgia Dome.  They will be battling for the early season division lead
as the Panthers are off to a shockingly slow start.

Oddsmakers currently have the Panthers listed as 3-point favorites versus the Falcons, while the game’s total is sitting at 49.

The Atlanta Falcons were a 45-32 winner in their most recent outing
on the road against the New Orleans Saints. They covered the +2.5-point
spread as underdogs, while the total score (77) made winners of OVER
bettors.

Carolina lost its last outing, a 22-10 result against the Minnesota
Vikings on September 25. The Panthers failed to cover in that game as a
-6-point favorite, while the 32 combined points took the game UNDER the
total.

Carolina Panthers:

Team record: 1-2 SU,1-2 ATS

Carolina is 18-4 SU in its last 22 games

The total has gone OVER in 5 of Carolina’s last 7 games

Carolina is 0-5 ATS in its last 5 games on the road

Atlanta Falcons:

Team record: 2-1 SU,2-1 ATS

Atlanta is 4-2 ATS in its last 6 games

Atlanta is 4-11 ATS in its last 15 games

Sports Authority Field at Mile High has the opening game of the 2016 NFL
season on Thursday as the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos
battle in Denver.

Many people think the Panthers, led by NFL MVP Cam Newton, will battle
the Packers and Seahawks for the NFC Crown as the Panthers are +490 to
win the NFC Title. The Broncos are a totally different team than last
year after the retirement of Peyton Manning and the loss of Brock
Osweiler in free agency. The Broncos will start 2015 7th round pick
Trevor Siemian at QB and have questions all over the offensive side of
the ball.

Oddsmakers currently have the Panthers listed as 3-point favorites versus the Broncos, while the game's total is sitting at 41½.

Denver was a 24-10 winner the last time they played at home against the
Panthers. They covered the +4.5-point spread as underdogs, while the
total score of 34 sent UNDER bettors to the payout window.

Last time out for Carolina, they were a 24-10 loser as they battled the
Broncos on the road. The Panthers failed to cover in the match as a
-4.5-point favorite, while 34 combined points moved the game UNDER for
totals bettors.

Carolina:

Team record: 17-2 SU,13-6 ATS

Carolina is 11-5 ATS in its last 16 games

Carolina is 17-2 SU in its last 19 games

The total has gone OVER in 12 of Carolina's last 17 games

Denver:

NFL Week 14 Preview & Pick: Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers - Handicappers Hideaway

http://betanysports.eu/hh30/

The 6-6 Atlanta Falcons will try and stop the 12-0 Carolina Panthers’
current winning streak this Sunday, while at the same time putting the
brakes on their current five-game losing streak. BetAnySports
has listed the Panthers as 8.5-point home favorites in this NFC South
Division tilt and the betting odds for the total have been set at 46.

Atlanta’s perfect 5-0 straight-up start with a 4-1 record against the
spread has quickly become a faded memory following five SU losses
including a 23-19 setback against Tampa Bay this past Sunday as a
one-point road underdog. The Falcons have now failed to cover against
the spread in their last eight games and the total has stayed UNDER in
their last six outings.

It could be hard to turn things around with an offense that has only
scored more than 20 points in one of its last five games and that was in
a 24-21 loss to Indianapolis. This past Sunday against the Buccaneers,
Atlanta could only manage 333 yards of total offense including just 64
yards on the ground. The only thing keeping the Falcons in the game
during this slide has been a defense that is holding teams to 21.4
points a game.

At the other end of the spectrum in the NFC South are the high-flying
Panthers, who are coming off a wild 41-38 last minute win against New
Orleans as 5.5-point road favorites on BetAnySports’ closing betting
line. Despite failing to cover in that game, they are still a very
profitable 9-3 ATS on the year. The total went OVER the closing
50.5-point line against New Orleans and it has now gone OVER in five of
their last six games.

Carolina’s offense led by MVP candidate Cam Newton continues to fire on
all cylinders heading into the stretch run of the NFL regular season. He
passed for 331 yards and five touchdowns in this past Sunday’s win and
on the season he has thrown for 2,797 yards and 25 scores while adding
another 476 yards and seven touchdowns with his legs. The Panthers’
defense was a bit loose in Sunday’s win, but on the year it is still
ranked third in the league in total yards allowed (313.3).

Giving up this many points in any division matchup carries some
additional risk, but while Carolina continues to show why it’s the best
team in the NFC right now, the Falcons are simply showing that the fast
start was just a fluke. Lay the 8.5-points on BetAnySports’ NFL betting
board with a play on Carolina in this matchup.

Current BAS Line: Panthers -7.5 and the total is 45

BetAnySports’ NFL Pick of the Week- Wild Card Playoffs — Arizona Cardinals vs. Carolina Panthers – Saturday, Jan. 3

Betting on Panthers football

Arizona Cardinals vs. Carolina Panthers – Saturday, Jan. 3

Current BAS’ Line: Panthers are 5 1/2-point Favorites and the total is 38

Two teams that most betting experts thought would miss the NFL
Playoffs this season will try and get past the Wild Card Round this
Saturday afternoon when the 11-5 Arizona Cardinals head into Bank of
America Stadium as four-point underdogs against the 7-8-1 Carolina
Panthers. BetAnySports has listed the betting odds for the total in this game at 38.

The Cardinals burst out of the gate with a 9-1 straight-up record
through their first 10 games, but a rash of injuries especially at the
quarterback position resulted in a 2-4 record down the stretch. Arizona
also went 11-5 this season against the spread and the total stayed UNDER
in 10 of the 16 games.

Carson Palmer was lost for the season with a torn ACL and Drew
Stanton remains day-to-day with a sprained ACL, so it may be up to Ryan
Lindley to keep Arizona’s dream of being the first NFL team to ever play
in a Super Bowl at its home stadium alive. This might be a pretty tall
task considering the way Lindley has played in his previous two starts.

Carolina won three of its first five games this season both SU and
ATS, but it did not record its fourth SU victory of the year until early
December after a 0-6-1 SU mid-season slide. The net result was a losing
record that was still good enough to win the watered-down NFC South.
The Panthers went an even 8-8 ATS with the total staying UNDER in four
of their last six games.

Cam Newton had some injuries issues of his own after getting
banged-up in an auto accident, but the Panthers’ quarterback has shown
no lingering effects in his last couple of starts. The biggest reason
while Carolina has been able to build momentum from its current SU
four-game winning streak (2-2 ATS) is a revitalized defense that has not
allowed more than 17 points in any of the contests during this run. It
held Atlanta to just a field goal in this past Sunday’s 34-3 romp as a
2.5-point road underdog on BetAnySports closing NFL betting odds.

This game has a really good chance to stay UNDER
the total with the betting line set at 38, but I am going with Arizona
and the four points as my official pick in this game. Both team’s
defense will prevail to keep this a tight three-point contest either way
right up until the final gun.

Betting on Atlanta Falcons Football

Divisional bragging rights will be on the line on Sunday when the
Carolina Panthers and the Atlanta Falcons meet at Georgia Dome.

Oddsmakers currently have the Falcons listed as 3-point favorites versus the Panthers, while the game’s total is sitting at 48.

road against the Saints. They covered the +6.5-point spread as
underdogs, while the total score (44) made winners of UNDER bettors.

In their last action, Carolina was a 17-13 winner at home against the
Browns. They failed to cover the -6-point spread as favorites, while

MNF Preview: Carolina Panthers (3-5-1) vs. Philadelphia Eagles (6-2)

Betting on Eagles NFL Football

The Carolina Panthers and the Philadelphia Eagles will both be
gunning for a victory on Monday when they meet at Lincoln Financial
Field.

Oddsmakers currently have the Eagles listed as 7-point favorites versus the Panthers, while the game’s total is sitting at 48½.

Philadelphia was a 31-21 winner in its last match on the road against
the Texans. They covered the -2-point spread as favorites, while the
total score of 52 sent OVER bettors to the payout window.

Carolina was a 28-10 loser in its last match at home against the
Saints. They failed to cover the +3-point spread as underdogs, while the
total score of 38 sent UNDER bettors to the payout window.

BetAnySports’ NFL Pick of the Week- Week 8: New Orleans Saints vs. Carolina Panthers – Thursday, Oct. 30

Betting on Panthers football

BetAnySports’ NFL Pick of the Week- Week 8

New Orleans Saints vs. Carolina Panthers – Thursday, Oct. 30

BAS’ Current Line: Saints -3 and the total is 49 1/2

Just when the betting public thought the Saints were dead in the
water after a 2-4 start both straight-up and against the spread, they go
out and hammer one of the hottest teams in the league with a 44-23 romp
over Green Bay this past Sunday as two-point home favorites on
BetAnySports closing NFL betting odds. The total easily went OVER an
inflated 55-point line and it has now gone OVER in their last four
games.

BetAnySports
has opened New Orleans as a one-point road favorite in this Thursday’s
NFC South showdown against Carolina and for good reason. The Saints are
0-4 SU on the road this season with a 1-3 mark ATS. They opened the
season with back-to-back road losses to Atlanta and Cleveland before
getting hammered by Dallas 38-17 as three-point road favorites. Just two
weeks ago New Orleans blew a late fourth-quarter 23-10 lead against
Detroit in a 27-26 loss a 1.5-point road underdog.

The Panthers fast 2-0 start both SU and ATS out of the gate is
becoming a distant memory after posting a dismal 1-4-1 SU record in
their last six games. They have been able to cover ATS in three of their
last four games and while the total stayed UNDER 44.5 points in this
past Sunday’s tough 13-9 loss to Seattle as six-point home underdogs, it
had gone OVER in their previous five games.

Defense was the primary reason while Carolina went 12-4 SU last
season on its way to the NFC South Division title, but this year this
side of the ball has been plagued with consistency issues from one week
to the next. Give this unit credit for holding Seattle in check with the
exception of a late-game score that cost the team the game. Prior to
this, the defense did allow 37 points in the Week 6 tie against
Cincinnati and 38 points the following week in a lopsided loss to Green
Bay. The offense has not helped the cause with 19 points or less in four
of the Panthers’ last six games.

The total has stayed UNDER in nine of the last 11 meetings in
Carolina and given New Orleans’ current form on the road and the
Panthers’ current form overall, I am going with the UNDER 49 on
BetAnySports betting odds as my top pick this time around as well.

After Setting Rookie Record, Cam Newton Faces Reigning Champs

Where exactly the Carolina Panthers stand a year after fumbling to a league-worst 2-14 record is a mystery, but at least they have a standout first-year quarterback to entertain them while they find out.

This Sunday, coming off a record-setting rookie debut, Panthers QB Cam Newton will look to follow up a 422-yard performance against a slightly more intimidating opponent than last week?s Arizona Cardinals: the reigning champion Green Bay Packers.

As far as the NFL betting lines are concerned, Newton?s dazzling display behind center is little more than an afterthought when it comes to the Week 2 tilt with the Pack. Despite playing hosts on the weekend, Carolina will have a +10.5 spread to contend with in order to payout.

With negligible odds of winning the Super Bowl and no guarantee that Newton will match, let alone exceed, his 24 for 37, three touchdown night (one rushing), all eyes will be on Green Bay as a true measuring stick for the young quarterback.

If NFL odds junkies are looking for player props to bet on this season, it?ll be hard not to consider the athletic Heisman winner out of Auburn, but the jury is still out on whether his Week 1 is a sign of things to come.

Get in on individual game odds, player props or Super Bowl futures with the online sportsbook now, Week 2?s storylines await.
