The Toronto Raptors and the Miami Heat will square off in what should be
another close battle at AmericanAirlines Arena. The first 3 games of

probably come down to free throws, turnovers and defensive rebounding.

NBA Tuesday Preview & Free Pick- Detroit Pistons at Miami Heat - Handicappers Hideaway

The Detroit Pistons will continue their quest for a place in the NBA
postseason this Tuesday night as slight two-point road underdogs against
the Miami Heat. BetAnySports
has set the betting line for the total at 198 points and the 8 p.m.
(ET) tip from American Airlines Arena will be broadcast nationally on
TNT. Currently the line has risen to the Heat -4 while to total has been
hammered up to 202.

Detroit has gotten hot at the right time of the year with a straight-up
7-3 record over its last 10 games. It is now 41-36 overall after posting
a crucial 94-90 victory against rival Chicago (39-38) this past
Saturday to open-up a two-game lead over the Bulls for the eighth and
final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Pistons covered as
three-point road underdogs on BetAnySports’ closing betting line in that
game and they are now 5-2 against the spread in their last seven
outings. The total stayed UNDER 206.5 and it has stayed UNDER in their
last three games.

Reggie Jackson has been Detroit’s leading scorer all season long with an
average of 18.5 points per game while shooting 43.2 percent from the
field. He also led the way against Chicago with a team-high 22 points
and all five starters ended that game in double figures. The Pistons
converted on 10-of-20 shots from three-point range to help pace the win.
Overall, they are ranked 17th in the NBA in scoring with 101.9 PPG and they improve to 12th at the other end of the court with a points-allowed average of 101.2 points.

Miami is caught in a three-way battle for the No. 3 seed in the East
with Atlanta and Boston. Right now it is a half-game back in fifth place
at 44-32 SU following Saturday’s 110-93 loss to Portland as a 6.5-point
road underdog on BetAnySports’ closing betting line. The total stayed
UNDER 209 in that game and it has stayed UNDER in four of their last
five games. Miami is now 6-4 SU in its last 10 games, but just 4-6 ATS.
It will return home from that three-game West Coast swing with a SU
25-13 (20-17-1 ATS) at American Airlines Arena this year.

The big question for Tuesday night’s matchup is the availability of the
Heat’s leading scorer Dwyane Wade (19.2 PPG). He has missed his last two
games with a sore back and he is currently listed as questionable.
Hassan Whiteside came off the bench to score a team-high 20 points in
Saturday’s game and Goran Dragic added 15 points in the losing cause.
Even if Wade can go, Miami’s best chance to win this game will still
hinge on its smothering defense. The Heat are ranked fourth in NBA in
points allowed this season (98.5).

I actually like Detroit on the road in this matchup in a SU win. The
team has been in great form lately and the Pistons actually need this
game much more than the Heat.

BetAnySports’ TNT NBA Tuesday Pick of the Day: San Antonio Spurs vs. Miami Heat - Handicappers Hideaway

BetAnySports’ TNT NBA Tuesday Pick of the Day

San Antonio Spurs vs. Miami Heat

BAS’ Current Line: Spurs -8 and the total is at 195 1/2.

The San Antonio Spurs will be going for the season sweep of the Miami
Heat this Tuesday night in an inter-conference matchup on TNT.
BetAnySports has opened the Spurs as 6.5-point road favorites for this
contest and the betting odds for the total are still off the board.

San Antonio has been on a roll lately with a 6-1 record both
straight-up and against the spread in its last seven outings. The Spurs
hammered Memphis 103-89 this past Sunday as eight-point home favorites
after pasting Dallas 94-76 last Friday as 8.5-point favorites at home.
The total stayed UNDER in both of those contests and it has now stayed
UNDER in four of their last six games. San Antonio heads back on the
road with a SU record of 18-18 this season while going 17-19 ATS.

Kawhi Leonard scored a game-high 25 points in Sunday’s win while
shooting 11-for-17 from the field. On the year he leads the Spurs with
16.1 points per game and he is hitting 46.5 percent of his shots from
the floor and 32.9 percent from three-point range. San Antonio is ninth
in the NBA in scoring with an average of 102.7 PPG and defensively it
is ranked seventh in the league in points allowed (97.4).

The Heat have lost three of their last five games both SU and ATS, but
they are coming off a much needed 109- 102 victory against Detroit on
Sunday after closing as 2.5-point home favorites on BetAnySports’
betting odds for the game. The total went OVER the 193.5-point line
after staying UNDER in seven of their previous eight contests. Miami is
now an even 18-18 SU at home this season with a 16-18-2 record ATS.

Scoring points on a consistent basis has been an issue for the Heat
this season with an average of 94.7 PPG and Sunday was the first time
Miami eclipsed the century mark in its last five games. Dwyane Wade had a
big night against the Pistons with 40 points and on the year he is
leading the Heat in scoring with 21.8 PPG. Luol Deng led the way in
Miami’s 99-86 loss to Atlanta last Friday with 17 points and 10
rebounds, but he had to leave Sunday’s game due to soreness in his knee.

The Spurs won the first meeting this season 98-85 in early February as
12.5-point favorites and while the final score should be a bit closer
this team around, stick with San Antonio to win and cover BetAnySport’s 8-point spread in this game as well.

NBA Odds: Instant Underdog Miami Makes for Compelling Betting Option

Betting on the 2015 NBA Rookie Seasons

Newton’s Third Law reveals that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. When

it comes to betting on the NBA, such an observation is worth repeating. Everybody under the sun

has discussed how the addition of LeBron James to the Cleveland Cavaliers makes the franchise a

legitimate title contender, but we shouldn’t dismiss how the rest of the league is reacting.

Bet on basketball at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

While the Cavs have shot up to the top of the sportsbook (3/1 to win the NBA championship), the

Miami Heat, who reigned supreme there up until the day of the Decision, has fallen down the list.

The Heat managed to retain Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade while adding solid fringe stars like Luol

Deng and Josh McRoberts, but is that enough for basketball fans to take a wager on the team’s 25/1

odds of going all the way?

The offseason definitely wasn’t a success in South Beach, but the team shouldn’t be ruled out as

an Eastern Conference contender. Consider them a team in limbo while the landscape of the league

readjusts in 2014-2015. Take advantage of the uncertainty by betting on the NBA before the dust

settles.

NBA Odds: King James Returns and Pushes Cavs to Front of Sportsbook

Betting on Lebron James returning to Cleveland

A wild NBA offseason has permanently altered the basketball betting
landscape. For proof, look no further than the top of the NBA futures
where the Cleveland Cavaliers sit, despite having no more than 33 wins
in the past four seasons. Why is that? Two words: LeBron James.

Bet on basketball at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

When James decided to take his talents to the shore of Lake Erie, the
NBA’s shape changed. Suddenly the prodigal son is going home, and his
first official employer is now back in the mix to contend for the title.

The Cavaliers are 15/4 to win the NBA championship, which gives you
an idea of what oddsmakers think of the new Cleveland roster. James’
supporting cast includes former Rookie of the Year Kyrie Irving and the
No. 1 pick in this year’s draft, Andrew Wiggins.

Has the King matured enough to lead the Cavs further than before? Can
he fend off the reigning champion San Antonio Spurs? Even the revamped
Chicago Bulls, with whom they share an NBA Central Division, will pose a
threat. The 2014-2015 season can’t come soon enough.

Lebron James Futures and Prop Bets

Betting on Lebron James returning to Cleveland

Here are the updated odds and props now that LeBron Signed with Cleveland.

“There is no question that with the recent news of Lebron going back
home to Cleveland that they are the favorites for next season to take it
all at 4-1. With the Eastern Conference being much weaker and
essentially only a handful of teams that can give Lebron and the Cavs a
run for their money would be a shock if they do not at least make the
Conference Finals. The Heat in turn, who now may lose Bosh also, have
gone from 4-1 to 50-1, basically the Cavs and Heat flipping odds from
what we had them the day after the Spurs won the Championship. This
shows how much of an impact a player like Lebron has on odds, the last
comparable situation was Peyton Manning going to the Broncos dropped
them from 75-1 to 10-1 in a blink of an eye.”

Heat and Spurs in Mix for 2015, but Futures Remain Uncertain

Betting on the 2015 NBA Championship

The Miami Heat qualified for their fourth consecutive finals
appearance before bursting into flames. The San Antonio Spurs rallied
after a tragic exit in 2013 only to cap off a 15-year-long fairy tale in
2014. But what happens now? Fans looking to bet on the NBA in 2014-2015
need to start thinking about what comes next.

Bet on basketball at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

The runner-up, Miami Heat, tops the sportsbook with odds of 7/2 to
win the NBA Championship, just days after the 2014 champion crowning.
LeBron James can opt out of his contract this summer, but that doesn’t
necessarily mean that he will.

Could LeBron possibly improve his current situation in Miami? Oddsmakers aren’t so sure.

Tim Duncan and the Spurs are at a pivotal juncture. It’s widely
expected that the 38-year-old man will strongly consider retirement.
Will the fifth ring be the deciding factor? From a skills and health
perspective, he certainly doesn’t have to retire, making the decision
all the more difficult.

The Oklahoma City Thunder (6/1) and the Chicago Bulls (9/1) are
joining the Heat and Spurs as early contenders for the next title. We
like the idea of a victorious Kevin Durant, but will need more
convincing before hopping back on the Derrick Rose bandwagon.

That’s where you come in. Weigh in on the 2014-2015 campaign early.

BetAnySports’ NBA Finals Pick of the Week: San Antonio Spurs vs. Miami Heat Game 3

Betting on Miami Heat Basketball

San Antonio Spurs vs. Miami Heat Game 3- Tuesday, June 10

BetAnySports’ Line: Heat -4 1/2 and the Total sits at 197

After these two NBA powers split a pair of games at AT&T Center
to kick-off this year’s rematch in the NBA Finals, the San Antonio Spurs
and the Miami Heat will be at it again this Tuesday night at
AmericanAirlines Arena for Game 3 of this epic best-of-seven clash.
BetAnySports has opened the Heat as four-point favorites to take the 2-1
series edge and the total for this game has been set at 198.

San Antonio was firing on all cylinders in its 110-95 win in Game 1
as a 5.5-point home favorite, especially in the fourth quarter of that
contest with 36 points. That number was almost cut in half in this past
Sunday’s 98-96 loss as a four-point favorite at home on BetAnySports’
closing betting line. The Spurs shot just 43.9 percent from the field in
that loss after lighting things up with a 58.8 shooting percentage in
Game 1.

Tony Parker leads the team in scoring with 17.5 points per game in
this year’s playoffs and he scored a team-high 21 points in Sunday’s
loss. The Spurs are averaging 106.2 PPG in 20 previous postseason games
while shooting 48.5 percent from the field. They are 6-3 both
straight-up and against the spread in their last nine games and the
total has stayed UNDER in seven of their last 10 contests.

LeBron James caught some major flack for bowing out early in Game 1
with severe leg cramps as the temperature on court exceeded 90 degrees
in light of an air-conditioning failure at the AT&T Center. He
responded in typical fashion by putting up a game-high 35 points while
pulling down 10 rebounds in Sunday’s win. He leads the Heat in points
(27.5), rebounds (6.9) and assists (4.8) in 17 playoff games this year
and his performance on the court from here on in will clearly dictate
whether or not Miami wins its third-straight NBA title.

The Heat are 5-2 both SU and ATS in their last seven games, but when
you narrow things down to their last four playoff games, they are just
2-2 both ways. Sunday’s win improved their record to a perfect 4-0 SU
and ATS in their last four playoff games following a SU loss. The
concern for Tuesday’s game is a 2-5 mark ATS in their last seven game
following a SU win.

Bank on this trend holding true for Game 3. The Heat may still get
the SU win on their home court, but I am taking the Spurs and the 4 1/2
points on BetAnySports’ current NBA betting odds for this game.

NBA Betting: Unlikely Underdog Heat Hit the Road in Finals

Betting on Spurs NBA Basketball

After a pair of Conference Finals series that matched those from last
year, basketball fans are in for a rematch of the 2013 NBA Finals as
well. Will the déjà vu give those betting on the NBA an advantage when
they’re picking their winner? The San Antonio Spurs are another year
older, sure, but then again so are the Miami Heat.

Bet on basketball at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

In case you haven’t noticed by now, although San Antonio is
constantly written off as too old to contend, they have a tendency to
defy all expectations time and time again. In fact, the experience seems
to have only made them stronger.

According to oddsmakers, despite Miami’s back-to-back titles, the
Spurs are favored to win in 2014 with -125 odds. Have Tim Duncan and the
gang actually improved from the last few seasons? And on that note,
which direction are the Heat trending?

As +105 underdogs, the Heat suddenly have Dwyane Wade’s age to think
about, and the sheer workload of LeBron James. Suddenly San Antonio’s
longevity doesn’t seem to be as much of a factor.

Also favored with a -3.5 spread for Game 1 – scheduled for Thursday –
the time is now for the Spurs to act in the twilight of their stars’
career. Might a championship mark the end of an era for Duncan and the
gang?

NBA Betting: Unlikely Underdog Heat Hit the Road in Finals

BetAnySports’ NBA Playoffs Pick of the Week: Miami Heat vs. San Antonio Spurs Game 1- Thursday, June 5

Betting on Spurs NBA Basketball

Miami Heat vs. San Antonio Spurs Game 1- Thursday, June 5

BetAnySports’ Line: Spurs -4 and the Total is 198 1/2

The Miami Heat begin their quest for a third-straight NBA title this
Thursday night against the San Antonio Spurs in a rematch of last
season’s NBA Finals. All the action from the AT&T Center in San
Antonio is slated to get underway at 9 p.m. and the game will be
broadcast nationally on ABC.

The Heat took a fairly short route back to the NBA Finals with a
straight-up record of 12-3 in their first three series against
Charlotte, Brooklyn and Indiana. They have been a solid bet along the
way with a 10-5 record against the spread on BetAnySports’ closing NBA
betting odds for the games. The total went OVER in 11 of the 15 outings.

LeBron James has played like a man possessed in a few of his team’s
dominate victories in the postseason and he leads the team across the
board in points (27.1), rebounds (6.8) and assists (5.0). Dwyane Wade
has been able to stay healthy enough to add another 18.7 points per game
and to round-out the Big Three in Miami, Chris Bosh is scoring 15.2 PPG
and pulling down 5.7 rebounds a game. The Heat are averaging 99.1 PPG
while hitting 49.7 percent of their shots from the field and 39.5
percent from 3-point range.

San Antonio took a slightly longer route to its second straight
appearance in the NBA Finals with a 12-6 SU record in 18 previous
postseason games. It has not been a solid bet at times with a 9-9 record
ATS and the total has gone OVER in 10 of those 18 games. BetAnySports
has opened the Spurs as -130 favorites to win this series with Heat
listed as +110 underdogs, but holding onto that all-important home court
advantage has to start with a win on Thursday night.

Tony Parker has been the Spurs leading scorer in the playoffs with
17.2 PPG, but he is dealing with a sore left ankle that could cost him
some playing time not just in Game 1, but in the entire series if the
pain persists. Tim Duncan continues to be a force in the postseason with
16.5 points and a team-high 8.9 rebounds while Manu Ginobili has been
instrumental in the team’s success with 14.3 points off the bench. San
Antonio is averaging 106.6 PPG while shooting 48.2 percent from the
field and 39.2 percent from beyond the arc.

I see this series going the full seven games just like last season,
but as far as Game 1 goes I am taking the Heat and the 4 points on
BetAnySports’ current betting line. Miami may not get the SU win, but
this one is going down to the wire either way.
