Montreal Alouettes Look to Break BC Win Streak

The British Columbia Lions and the Montreal Alouettes will battle at Percival Molson Stadium on Thursday night. The game will be televised live by ESPN West at kickoff is at 7:30 EST.

The BC Lions are looking for their fourth straight win against the Montreal Alouettes. The Lions continue their Eastern Division road trip with their second game in the East in a row. BC scored two majors in the fourth quarter to blow past the Toronto Argonauts 28-15 in Week 2. It was the Lions firs win of the 2017 season.

Montreal Alouettes Look for a Complete Game

In their last action, Montreal was a 23-19 loser on the road against the Edmonton Eskimos. They covered the +9-point spread as underdogs. Tthe combined score (42) was profitable news for UNDER bettors. Darian Durant was contained to only 166 passing yards. He had one touchdown and an interception. Running back Tyrell Sutton rushed for 88 yards on 12 carries. Big-ticket free agent addition, Ernest Jackson, was held to only a catch for three yards. Montreal blanked Edmonton in the first quarter. Dodgers Look to Sweep DBacks in NL West Battle

Dodgers Look to Expand NL West Lead

National League West division rivals, the Arizona Diamondbacks and Los Angeles Dodgers, are set to wrap up their three game series on Thursday. Chavez Ravine, and Dodger Stadium, will host the game scheduled to start at 10:10 EST.

Oddsmakers opened the Dodgers as -155-moneyline favorites versus the Diamondbacks, while the game's total opened at 7.5. The line has held pretty steady all day.

The Los Angeles Dodgers did not allow a run in the past two games against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Left-handers Clayton Kershaw and Alex Wood each threw seven shutout innings in back to back games. The first-place Dodgers beat the second-place Diamondbacks 4-3 on Tuesday and 1-0 on Wednesday. This extended their lead over Arizona to 4 1/2 games in the National League West. Manny Pacquiao vs. Jeff Horn Odds and Prop Bets

Pacquiao Puts WBO Title on the Line in Australia

Manny Pacquiao, 38, will fight off of pay-per-view for the first time since 2005. He will defend his WBO Welterweight Title in the backyard of his opponent, Jeff Horn. The fight will be at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium. ESPN will broadcast the fight in the US for free starting at 9 pm EST.

The idea of fighting outside of the United States in pursuit of a larger purse isn't necessarily foreign to Pacquiao. Pacquiao who is, 59-6-2 with 38 KOs, has traveled to Macau for victories over Brandon Rios and Chris Algieri in recent years. The choice of Horn as an opponent feels like a legitimate step down in class. Especially considering how loaded the 147-pound division remains. Horn is 16-0-1 with 11 KOs.

Despite the outlier of his record-breaking 4.6 million PPV buys against Floyd Mayweather. Pacquiao's brand has been quietly on the decline for years. With HBO uninterested in promoting his last fight against Vargas, Top Rank produced it independently to the tune of "around" 300,000 buys.

Astros Host the Yankees Saturday Night

Astros Martes Could be Making Last MLB Start

The New York Yankees and the Houston Astros battle at Minute Maid Park on Saturday night. The Astros are still playing well winning seven of their last 10 games. The Yankees have fell out of a tie for first with Boston. They are 1.5 games back after playing .500 ball over their last 10 games.

Oddsmakers opened the Astros as -137-moneyline favorites versus the Yankees, while the game's total opened at 9.5. The line shows the Astros as -141-moneyline favorites and the total has dropped to 9.

The Yankees are in the midst of 16 straight games without an off-day. The stretch that will conclude on July 6. Skipper Joe Girardi is working hard to juggle his lineup so that his most effective players can contribute without burning out during this long stretch.

Yankees have Edge on the Hill

Left hander Jordan Montgomery will take the mound for the Yankees to start this game. Montgomery is 6-4 this season with a 3.53 ERA. Montgomery finished 4-0 with a 2.59 ERA over his five starts in June. In his only appearance against the Astros, Montgomery allowed four runs on eight hits. He had only one walk with seven strikeouts over six innings in a 5-1 loss on May 12.

Montgomery's opponent in this one will be Francis Martes. The Astros right hander has a 5.51 ERA to go along with a 2-0 record this season. Martes will face the Yankees for the first time. He lasted just two innings in his last start. He allowed two runs on two hits. Martes also four walks to go with three strikeouts in the Astros' 8-2 victory over the Seattle Mariners on June 25.

Astros right-hander Charlie Morton is set to return from the 10-day disabled list next week in Toronto. Morton had a month-long rehab stint to recover from a right lat strain. Martes is the likely candidate to give up a spot in the rotation and return to Triple-A Fresno.

The Yankees are trying to make to two straight over the 1st place Astros. They pummeled the Stros' 13-4 last night.
