Dirty is Back for Revenge on Mark Trail

Mark Trail

Mark Trail

I come back from the Dead today and will be in the storyline for the next week or week and a half. My good buddy +James allen (who does the strip) told me a while back he had something planned for me.

Maybe I get some revenge. The last we Seen my Character I was hurt and in a Hospital in Africa and getting Chased by Mark Trail, Taurus and the poaching police for poaching Rhino Horns.

When they went to the hospital to talk to me I was "Gone" that is all the Dr. would say. Didn't know if I died or escaped. Something Straight off Young and the Restless... Lets see where it goes.

NBA Playoffs: NBA Best Rockets Host the TWolves

NBA Playoffs 2018

Timberwolves are not Just Happy to be in NBA Playoffs

The Minnesota Timberwolves will take on the Houston Rockets at Toyota Center. Their first-round NBA Playoffs matchup will be one of the most intriguing of the playoff season.

TV: 9 p.m. ET, TNT, FS North (Minnesota), AT&T SportsNet Southwest (Houston)

Oddsmakers opened the Rockets as -9-point favorites versus the Timberwolves, while the game's total opened at 218.5. The line is now Houston is favored by 11 and the total is down to 215.

Timberwolves Have Been in NBA Playoff Mode for a Week

The Timberwolves needed to scratch their way to an overtime victory on the final day of the regular season to clinch a playoff spot. It was the franchise's first since Kevin Garnett led the team to the 2004 Western Conference finals.

The Timberwolves' reward for that strong finish is a date with the NBA-best Houston Rockets, who host Game 1 of the first-round series on Sunday.

Minnesota has been in playoff mode for well over a week. They had to win its last three regular-season games to stay alive and clinch a spot in the postseason.  All-Star swingman Jimmy Butler leading the way after coming back from knee injury.

Minnesota C Karl-Anthony Towns led the NBA with 68 double-doubles while averaging 21.3 points and 12.3 rebounds. Towns paced the team in points (1,743), rebounds (1,012), blocks (115) and 3-pointers (120).  With Butler in the post, Minnesota might have a pace that could prevent Houston from its usually lethal combo of layups and open 3s.

Matching the Rockets offensively might be as sound a strategy as anything. The Timberwolves trying to defensively contain the Rockets is a tall order. Houston made more 3-pointers (1,256) than any team in NBA history. The Rockets actually attempted more 3s (3,470) than shots from inside the arc (3,446).

Rockets Helter Skelter Offense is Primed for NBA Playoffs

James Harden, who is the odds-on favorite to win his first MVP award, leads the Rockets. He led the league in scoring with an average of 30.4 points and adding 8.8 assists. The difference for the team this year's playoffs is that Harden has help. That help is future Hall of Famer, point guard Chris Paul.

Harden and Chris Paul ranked first and fourth in isolation points per possession. Center Clint Capela paced the league in field goal percentage at 65.2%. He is feasting on a healthy feed of lobs courtesy of the penetration Harden and Paul create. The open inside is because opponents are scrambling to defend the 3-point arc.

The Timberwolves finished 23rd in defensive efficiency during the regular season. Locking down the Rockets this series is a fool's mission. The Rockets are well aware of their potency. The Rockets potential to inflect damage by doing what they usually do is astounding.

NBA Playoffs: Thunder Host Surprising Jazz

NBA Playoffs 2018

Jazz Head Into NBA Playoffs as One of NBA's Hottest Teams

The Utah Jazz and the Oklahoma City Thunder meet at Chesapeake Energy Arena Sunday afternoon.

TV: 6:30 p.m. ET, TNT, AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain (Utah), FS Oklahoma

Oddsmakers opened the Thunder as -3.5-point favorites versus the Jazz, while the game's total opened at 204.5. The line is not OKC -4 and the total is 205.

The Jazz were 19-28 after a loss at Atlanta on Jan. 22. The team stormed back with a 29-6 mark down the stretch to seize the fifth seed in the West.  Their opponent, the Thunder, didn't solidify their place in the playoffs until a win in the next-to-last game of the season.

Jazz are Primed or Upset in NBA Playoffs First Round

Fifth-seeded Utah's turnaround roughly coincided with Rudy Gobert's return from a knee injury and he was dominant at times during the stretch run, averaging 16.6 points on 68.2 percent shooting to go along with 12.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in March.

Utah's turnaround roughly coincided with Gobert's return from a knee injury. He was dominant at times during the stretch run. He averaged 16.6 points on 68.2 percent shooting to go along with 12.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in March.

The 7-foot-1 Gobert will be providing a rim-protecting presence to combat Thunder superstar point guard Russell Westbrook.

Gobert has also taken over as a leader after the departure of Hayward.

Utah leans on dynamic rookie guard Donovan Mitchell from time to time as well. Mitchell averaged 20.5 points in his first season. He did not show any signs of hitting a rookie wall. Mitchell scored above his average in 12 of the final 14 games of the regular season.

Retooled Thunder Look for NBA Playoffs Success

The fourth-seeded Thunder boast a trio of veteran stars. They are led by Russell Westbrook. He averaged a triple-double for the second straight season. The reigning NBA MVP did the same in helping Oklahoma City win three of four matchups with the Jazz. He averaged 22.8 points, 11.3 rebounds and 10 assists in the season series.

Following a first-round exit last season during Westbrook's MVP campaign, Oklahoma City brought in forwards Paul George and Carmelo Anthony for support. It took time for the chemistry to develop. They got there and a strong finish has the team feeling pretty good entering the postseason.

The Thunder won 14 of their final 21 games this season. Much of that late success came with the early-March signing of veteran Corey Brewer. He is questionable for the opener due to a sprained knee.

Westbrook rallied late to produce his historic triple-double average for the season again. George heated up offensively down the stretch while averaging 27.6 points and shooting 40.7 percent from 3-point range in April.

Westbrook averaged 37.4 points, 11.6 rebounds, 10.8 assists and 2.4 steals in five games of the first-round series loss to the Houston Rockets last season.

NBA Playoffs: Cavaliers Host Pacers

NBA Playoffs 2018

Lebron Never Lost Opening Round Game in NBA Playoffs

The Indiana Pacers and the Cleveland Cavaliers meet at Quicken Loans Arena in their NBA Playoffs First-Round Series. The 4th Seeded Cavaliers are trying to make a 4th straight NBA Finals appearance. The 5th seeded Pacers may have something to say about it in this rematch from 2017.

TV: 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC

Oddsmakers opened the Cavaliers as -5-point favorites versus the Pacers, while the game's total opened at 217.5. The line is now Cleveland -7 and the total has dropped to 212.5.

The Cavs swept the Pacers out of the first round last season. Both teams have changed drastically since that series. Not much can be taken from it.

Lebron James is arguably the most dominant player in the first round of the NBA playoffs history.  His teams have won 21 games in a row in the opening round, which is an NBA record. He's never lost a first-round series, and sits at 12-0. James never even lost a Game 1 of any first round.

The last time his team lost any game in the first round was May 6, 2012. The Miami Heat lost by two to the New York Knicks in Game 4.

Pacers Surprised Some People This Season to Make NBA Playoffs

Paul George was the Pacers' best player last season. He was traded to Oklahoma City for Victor Oladipo in the off-season. Oladipo is now Indiana's best player. He averaged career highs in points at 23.1 per game, rebounds at 5.2, and assists at 4.3.

Domantas Sabonis was another key piece in the George trade. He's averaging 11.6 points and 7.7 rebounds, mostly off the bench. Sabonis closed the regular season strong with 30 points last Sunday at Charlotte. He also had a double-double in the season finale on Tuesday.

Darren Collison is Indiana's new point guard. He has averaged 12.4 points and led the NBA with a .468 3-point field-goal percentage.

Cavaliers Changes More Profound in March to NBA Playoffs

The Cavs' changes are even more prominent because they've undergone two sets of them.

Cleveland traded Kyrie Irving last summer for Isaiah Thomas, Ante Zizic, Jae Crowder, along with two draft picks. The Cavs also signed Derrick Rose and Dwyane Wade.

On Feb. 8, Thomas, Crowder, Rose, and Wade, along with Channing Frye and Iman Shumpert, were all traded away for George Hill, Rodney Hood, Larry Nance Jr. and Jordan Clarkson.

All four of the Cavs-Pacers games took place before those trades.

The Cavs have been to the last three NBA Finals. Only four of those players remain.  Only James, Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson, and JR Smith are  left from the 2016 title team. Four players have never played a playoff game. They are Cedi Osman, Zizic, Clarkson, and Nance.

For the first time in his career, Love will be Cleveland's second scoring option in the playoffs instead of its third.

Cavaliers SG Rodney Hood (Achilles) sat out the final two games of the regular season but is expected to be available on Sunday.

Red Hot Mets Host the Brewers

Mets Baseball

Mets Off to Best Start in Franchise History

The New York Mets are off to the best start in franchise history. They own the top record in the majors as they prepare to open a six-game home-stand. This is the first game of a 3-game home-stand against the Milwaukee Brewers.

TV: 7:10 p.m. EST, FS Wisconsin (Milwaukee), SNY (New York).

Pitching Matchup: Brewers RH Zach Davies (0-1, 5.40 ERA) vs. Mets LH Steven Matz (0-1, 3.00.

Oddsmakers have the Mets as -118-moneyline favorites. The total is at 8 Over -115. The Runline has the Mets -1.5 +170 and the Brewers +1.5 -195.

The red-hot Mets are riding an eight-game winning streak. They wrapped up a perfect road trip with a three-game sweep at the Miami Marlins.

New York swept a road trip of at least six games for only the second time in team history. They already have six come-from-behind victories.

The Mets last played a home game on April 4. The actual people show showed in the announced crowd of 21,328 filed out happy after a victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. You can bet they were unaware they were watching the beginning of the fastest start in team history.

Mets Look to Stay Hot After an Off Day

Both teams were off Thursday after winning on Wednesday. The Mets took over sole possession of baseball's best record after eight straight win. It was a come-from-behind 4-1 victory over the Marlins. The Brewers took the rubber game of a three-game series by edging the St. Louis Cardinals 3-2.

At 10-1, the Mets are enjoying the best 11-game start in baseball since 2013. The Atlanta Braves also opened 10-1 that season. They are the 24th team since 1900 to go 10-1 or better in its first 11 games.

Rookie manager Mickey Callaway is in even more select company. Only Joe Morgan has opened his career in faster fashion than Callaway. Morgan directed the Boston Red Sox to wins in his first 12 games at the helm upon being named manager at the All-Star Break in 1988.

The resiliency of the Brewers (7-6) has been tested in the season's first two weeks. Milwaukee relievers have blown three saves in the six games since hard-throwing closer Corey Knebel suffered a hamstring injury. The injury will keep him out until at least late May.

The Brewers have a winning record despite a minus-15 run differential that is the third-worst in the National League.

Golden Knights Playoff Hockey

Golden Knights Keep on Surprising

The Los Angeles Kings and Vegas Golden Knights are set to renew hostilities on Friday when they meet at T-Mobile Arena. The Golden Knights least the opening round NHL Playoffs series 1-0. With Game two set to go off tonight the Golden Knights look to stay on task.

Oddsmakers have the Golden Knights as -150-moneyline favorites versus the Kings. The game's total is sitting at 5. The puckline has the Golden Knights -1.5 at +190 and the Kings +1.5 at -220.

TV: 10 p.m. EST, NBC Sports Network, CBC, TVAS, Prime Ticket (LA), AT&T) Sportsnet-Rocky Mountain (LV).

Kings in Trouble with Injuries and Suspensions

The Los Angeles Kings' chances of at earning a split of their  Western Conference first-round playoff road games with the Vegas Golden Knights got more difficult Thursday afternoon. The NHL's Department of Player Safety ruled that the Kings top defenseman Drew Doughty was suspended for one game. He had "an illegal hit to the head" on Vegas forward William Carrier.

Doughty is a Norris Trophy candidate who led the league in total minutes during the regular season.

The Hit was on Vegas Forward William Carrier. Carrier had a game-high 10 hits in the contest. Doughty had several hard hits on him. He left the ice woozy with what was called an upper-body injury. The hit while carrying the puck into the right corner of the Kings' zone was vicious.

Replays clearly showed that Doughty hit Carrier on the top of the left shoulder. The hit then continued and caught the Vegas forward in the head.

Carrier didn't practice Thursday and was listed as day-to-day by Golden Knights head coach Gerard Gallant.

Doughty set career highs for assists with 50 this season. He banged out a career high in points with 60. Doughty ran his consecutive games played streak to 328 in Wednesday's series opener. That is just two shy of the team record held by Anze Kopitar.

The timing couldn't be worse for a Los Angeles squad that is already without defensemen Jake Muzzin and Derek Forbort.

The opener featured 127 hits, including 68 by the Kings.

BaseBrawl is Back as Red Sox Hosts Yankees

Red Sox Baseball

Primadonna Red Sox and Yankees Players Start SJW Brawl

The New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox will meet on the field at Fenway Park on Thursday in a battle of division rivals. The New York Yankees avenged a lopsided loss against the Boston Red Sox in the series opener. They did so showing some fight, while both teams cried like little bitches.

Unwritten Baseball Rule: You get spiked in baseball as a infielder. Above the Knee it is Dirty, Below the Knee it is Clean. These SJW's need to meet with the Twins who bitched about the Orioles not giving up and bunting for a hit the other day.

I say Grow a Set of Kahoona's you spoiled brats and play Baseball. Mona Friggin' Wah, Poor Baby Got a Boo Boo.

That is both literally and offensively en route to posting just their second win in last 6 games. Two bench-clearing fracases ratcheted up the tension in this rivalry again. The long-time hated foes look to keep their emotions in check.

Mona Waa!! Red Sox and Yankees Got Boo Boo's go cry to Mama

Red Sox shortstop Brock Holt suffered a gash on his leg on a slide by New York's Tyler Austin. This was in the third inning of the Yankees' 10-7 victory that evened the series Wednesday night.

Holt was clipped by Austin's spike and didn't like it. He cried like a little bitch. The benches and bullpens emptying with no real fight. In the seventh inning, Boston pitcher Joe Kelly came inside on Austin once. Then he drilled him with the next pitch.

Austin slammed his bat down and charged the mound like the crybaby SJW that he is. The brawl that resulted saw Austin landing a roundhouse right over the pile and to the head of Boston coach Carlos Febles. The punk couldn't even square up and hit him like a man. He had to act like a chump.

Red Sox and Yankees Game Preview

TV: 7:10 p.m. ET, MLB Network, YES (New York), NESN (Boston)

PITCHING MATCHUP: Yankees RH Sonny Gray (1-0, 3.60 ERA) vs. Red Sox RH Rick Porcello (2-0, 2.84)

Oddsmakers opened the Red Sox as -115-moneyline favorites versus the Yankees, while the game's total opened at 9. The line is now Boston -110 on the moneyline and the total is at 9 in this Rubber Match of the 3-game series.

The Red Sox won 14-1 on Tuesday. The Yankees came back and ended Boston's nine-game winning streak Wednesday. Gray, who doesn't have a great history either as a Yankee or against the Red Sox, tries to pitch his team (6-6) back over the .500 mark.

He is 1-4 with a 4.93 ERA in six career starts against the Red Sox. Gray is 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA in three starts at Fenway.

Porcello is looking to rebound from a bad season that followed his 2016 Cy Young Award campaign. He is 8-8 with a 3.27 ERA in 18 career games against the Yankees.

Yankees left fielder Brett Gardner has had the most success against Porcello. He has gone 12-for-34 (.304) with two homers lifetime against the hurler. Didi Gregorius is 5-for-23 (.217) but has two homers. Aaron Judge is 1-for-10 (.100) and Gary Sanchez 1-for-8 (.125) against Porcello.

For the Red Sox, Andrew Benintendi is 4-for-6 (.667) with a homer. J.D. Martinez is 3-for-7 (.429) with a homer against Gray. Mitch Moreland is just 6-for-25 (.240) against Gray, but four of the hits are home runs. Mookie Betts is just 2-for-14 (.133). Holt is 1-for-10 and Jackie Bradley Jr. 2-for-9 (.222) against Gray.

NHL Playoffs: First Round Matchup Between Original Six Foes

NHL Playoffs

NHL Playoffs In Full Swing Thursday Night

It’s the first game of the 2017-18 NHL Playoffs for the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs this Thursday night. The Original Six matchup is arguably the hardest to predict as well. Both teams have elite goaltending and the offensive explosiveness needed to take them to the promised land.

Game 1 will set the stage for an exciting series between these two long-time rivals.

TV: 7 p.m. ET, NBC Sports Network, CBC, TVAS (Toronto), NESN (Boston); Odds: Boston -158-moneyline, Puck Line - Boston -1.5 +177, Total 6 Over -115

Bet on hockey at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

The Toronto Maple Leafs won the season series against Boston 3-1-0. This despite finishing seven points behind the Bruins in the regular season standings. They pose a real threat to a team that seemed unbeatable at times this year.

Now that the playoffs have begun, the regular season is history, and the offensively-gifted Leafs could take the next step.

Toronto may be catching Boston at an ideal time. Forwards Rick Nash, Riley Nash and Sean Kuraly all questionable for Game 1. The talented Brandon Carlo will miss the entirety of the playoffs due to a fractured ankle suffered late in the season. The Bruins still have Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron to make life difficult for the Leafs.

Boston will need to rely on their depth of players to shut down the second and third lines of the Leafs. Puck drop is at 7 PM ET on this series, so don’t miss a second of the action.

Timberwolves Host Nuggets -- Winner is In NBA Playoffs

Minnesota Timberwolves

Trail Blazers and Jazz -- "You're In if You Win"

The Denver Nuggets and the Minnesota Timberwolves meet at Target Center on Wednesday night. This game is the culmination of the 82 game regular season. It is winner take all. The winner of this game proceeds to the NBA playoffs.

TV: 8 p.m. ET, Altitude (Denver), FS North (Minnesota).

Oddsmakers opened the Timberwolves as -4-point favorites versus the Nuggets, while the game's total opened at 220. The line is now Minnesota -3.5 and the total is at 216.

Months of play have led to Wednesday's final regular-season game between these two teams in Minnesota. Wednesday's winner will go to the playoffs. The loser will start its offseason and prepare for the draft.

The seeding possibilities for the winner in the packed Western Conference standings are not determined yet.  A win is the only thing that matters for now for these two teams.

The Nuggets came from behind to beat Portland 88-82 on Monday to set up this showdown.

No One Expected This From Either Team, Especially the Trail Blazers

Two weeks ago it didn't seem feasible the season coming down to the final game. Minnesota was playing without All-Star Jimmy Butler. They were fading down the stretch. When the Wolves lost 100-96 at Denver on April 5, it was their final game without Butler and ended a 6-9 stretch.

Minnesota has won the past two games with Butler back in the lineup after having knee surgery. Monday's win against Portland was the Nuggets' sixth in a row.

It will be a different matchup than the one six days earlier. Butler didn't play in that game. He is still on a minutes restriction and Butler played 22:58 in Monday's win. He had 15 points, three steals and three assists.

Taj Gibson left Monday's game early with a sore neck. He is questionable for Wednesday.

The Nuggets got back guard Gary Harris on Monday. He had missed 11 games with a knee injury. He had 12 points and two steals in 18 minutes off the bench.

Minnesota is riding a 13-season playoff drought. Gibson knows the intensity that will come Wednesday. He experienced a win-and-in regular-season finale in 2010 with the Bulls. Teammate Derrick Rose also was on that Chicago team.
