Yankees Visit the Blue Jays on Friday

Toronto Blue Jays

Blue Jays Look to Pick Up Ground in AL East

Two American League East division rivals get set to square off for the first of three games in Toronto. The New York Yankees are coming off of three straight series wins.

They will bring their 56-28 (+7.62 Units) record to Canada as they attempt to further separate themselves from the trailing Blue Jays (40-46, -6.26 Units).

Oddsmakers have the Yankees as -145-moneyline favorites. The total is at 9.5.

Bet on baseball at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

Toronto has tied or won four of their last five series. It appeared as though the Blue Jays were beginning to turn their season around. They lost the final two games against a beatable Tigers team. Then they turned around and lost the first of two against the equally lowly New York Mets.

They’ll be in tough fight against the Yankees. New York has dominated Toronto of late. They will send second-year starter Sam Gaviglio to the mound to face New York.

The Yankees will counter with Sonny Gray. He has struggled to a 5.44 ERA through 16 starts this season. Gray has walked 36 batters in 82 1/3 innings over those 16 starts. That puts him on pace to have the worst walk stats in a season of his career.

Despite Gray’s inconsistency, the Yankees’ offense will no doubt be in full swing. Don’t miss Friday’s offensive output. Game time is 7:07 PM ET.

Mercury Host the Sun in WNBA Action

Phoenix Mercury Basketball

The Connecticut Sun and the Phoenix Mercury will meet on Thursday when they battle at Talking Stick Resort Arena. The Mercury return home after a four-game road trip.

The Sun have dropped six of their last nine games and are looking to get back on track.

Oddsmakers have the Mercury as a 6.5-point favorite and the total is sitting at 168.

Mercury are Tied for Best Record in the WNBA

Phoenix was a 84-74 winner in its last game on the road against the Washington Mystics. They covered the +3.5-point spread as underdogs, while the total score of 158 sent UNDER bettors to the payout window.

The Mercury appear to be back to playing the way they were earlier in the season. When they first hosted the Sun last month while they were in the midst of an eight-game winning streak.

That streak ended with two straight losses. The Mercury now share the best record in the WNBA with the Seattle Storm after the turnaround.

The Mercury have not played since Saturday. They snapped the Washington Mystics' four-game winning streak.

Brittney Griner finished with 24 points. She also and seven rebounds and tied her season high with four assists. DeWanna Bonner scored 23 points and snatched eight rebounds.. Diana Taurasi collected a season-high nine assists, six rebounds and seven points.

Sun Coming off Biggest Win of the Season

In their last action, Connecticut was a 73-72 winner on the road against the Los Angeles Sparks. They covered the +9.5-point spread as underdogs, while the combined score (145) was profitable news for UNDER bettors.

The Sun have lost six of their last nine games. It was a tough stretch that included an 89-72 loss at Phoenix on June 16. Connecticut started the season as the WNBA's hottest team at 7-1.

Chiney Ogwumike's layup with 18.5 seconds left gave the Sun the win in front of 6,280 at the Staples Center. Ogwumike had 21 points, seven rebounds and two steals for the Sun. They clinched the season series against the Sparks.

Alyssa Thomas missed her eighth straight game with a shoulder injury. Fellow starter Courtney Williams missed her second straight for personal reasons.

Roughriders and Tiger-Cats Kick Off CFL Week 4 Action

Roughriders Football

Roughriders Looking to Break Two Game Losing Streak

The fans at Mosaic Stadium will be see the upstart Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Saskatchewan Roughriders when they take their seats on Thursday. The Tiger-Cats and Roughriders are two teams that carry much different story-lines heading into Week 4.

The Ticats are riding high. They have picked up wins against two tough teams in the West. They find themselves going for a third straight victory. Head Coach June Jones has this Offense humming.

While the Roughriders started off the season strong with a convincing win over the reigning Grey Cup champs have slid. They now find themselves 1-2 after a pair of lopsided losses.

Oddsmakers have the Tiger-Cats as 7-point favorites. The total is sitting at 51.

Roughriders a Rare Home Dog to Tiger-Cats as they Face Injury Issues

Saskatchewan will be without starting quarterback Zach Collaros for a second straight week. Collaros left the Riders’ Week 2 game against the Ottawa REDBLACKS with a head injury. He is currently sitting on the six-game injured list.

The Riders will once again put their faith in backup QB Brandon Bridge. They are starting him despite being pulled in the team’s 23-17 loss to the Montreal Alouettes last week. Bridge completed just eight of 18 passes for 111 yards with a pair of interceptions.

Even after the Riders replaced Bridge with backup David Watford, the team struggled. They couldn't seem to find any momentum. Watford did find Naaman Roosevelt for the Riders only Touchdown (Major) of the game.  He also threw two picks of his own.

Head coach Chris Jones made the decision late in the game to put star receiver turned cornerback, Duron Carter on offense. He was trying to provide a spark for the team. Carter will start in the secondary for a third straight week.

Tiger-Cats Riding High as They Face the Roughriders

The Black and Gold made a statement last week. They had a dominant 31-17 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Quarterback Jeremiah Masoli completed 31 of 41 attempts for 369 yards. He had one touchdown pass and one interception.

It was the eighth straight game he has broken the 300-yard passing mark.

Brandon Banks led all receivers with 111 yards. Sean Thomas-Erlington rushed for 92 yards in the victory. Mercer Timmis was effective when needed, as he found the end zone twice.

The Ticats are one of the most pleasant surprises to start the CFL season. They needed nine games to pick up their first win in 2017. The Ticats now have twice as many victories as they did halfway through last season.

The team will be without defensive end Adrian Tracy. He was injured in last weeks win against the Bombers. First year Ticat Julian Howsare will get the start in his place.

LA Angels Meet the Seattle Mariners on ESPN Plus

Seattle Mariners

Angels Playing Catch-up to Surprising Mariners in AL West

The Mariners and the Angels wrap up a pretty significant series tonight. The Los Angeles Angels had big things in mind for 2018. It’s not too late, but we’re already past the halfway point of the regular season. Key injuries have the Halos (44-43, -8.09 betting units) barely above .500.

The Seattle Mariners (55-312, +19.15 betting units) is in 2nd place in the division, 11 games better than the Angels. Game 3 is Thursday night at 10 PM ET on ESPN Plus. If the Angels keep slogging along they will have to make a huge decision. Throw in the towel, or hope for a 2nd half explosion.

Oddsmakers have the Mariners as -132-moneyline favorites. The total is at 9.

Bet on baseball at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

The Angels should have pitching/hitting phenom Shohei Ohtani (.907 OPS) back in the lineup by Thursday. He’ll be limited to DH duties after missing most of June with a sprained UCL in his left elbow.

Jaime Barria (5-4, 3.40 ERA) will start the series finale against the Mariners. The 21-year-old Panamanian has gone 0-3 over his last four starts. But he won five of his first six decisions. Barria lost to Seattle on June 12. He served up two homers to Mitch Haniger. He gave up three runs, two earned, and eight hits over five innings.

Fellow southpaw Marco Gonzales (3.77 ERA) is due up for Seattle. It has been a charmed season in the Pacific Northwest. The M’s are 26-11 this year in one-run games and 8-0 in extra innings. They’re 11-6 behind Gonzales for 3.98 units in earnings.

The Angels and their woeful bullpen are just 1-7 in extra innings this season.

Diamondbacks Host the Cardinals in July 4th Action

Diamondbacks Baseball

Diamondbacks and Cardinals Could be Pitchers Duel

The St. Louis Cardinals and the Arizona Diamondbacks meet on Wednesday night at Chase Field. Each team has a pitcher that could be auditioning for a spot on the National League All-Star Team.  Both have had under the radar, but quality seasons.

TV: 10:10 p.m. ET, ESPN, FS Midwest (St. Louis), FS Arizona

PITCHING MATCHUP: Cardinals RH Miles Mikolas (8-3, 2.61 ERA) vs. Diamondbacks LH Patrick Corbin (6-3, 3.14)

Both pitchers rank in the top 10 among NL qualifiers in several areas. The categories are ERA, WHIP, WAR and innings pitched. The only statistical difference is in strikeouts.

Corbin is tied for second and Mikolas is down the list a bit. Mikolas compensates by hitting spots and getting the majority of his outs on the ground.

Oddsmakers opened the Diamondbacks as -130-moneyline favorites versus the Cardinals, while the game's total opened at 8. The total has dropped to 7.5. The moneyline is not Arizona -135.

The teams split the first two games of the series.

Diamondbacks Look to Get Offense Consistent

Arizona got a three-run homer from Paul Goldschmidt to take a 4-2 victory Tuesday. Goldschmidt is hitting .413 with 11 homers and 28 RBIs over his past 26 games. He was named the National League Player of the Month for June after hitting .364 with eight multi-hit games.

Corbin, has made two straight quality starts. He has gived up only one run and in 13 innings, and did not receive a decision in either game. He had extra rest the last time through the rotation. This was after pitching seven scoreless innings while striking out 12 in a no-decision at Pittsburgh.

Jeff Mathis, one of two healthy catchers on the Arizona roster will catch Corbin for the third straight start. With Alex Avila on the disabled list, this is the best option.

Corbin has received only 3.65 runs per start. that is tied for the third fewest in the league. He is 1-1 with a 4.50 ERA in four career starts against St. Louis. He is 4-3 with a 3.69 ERA in 10 starts at home this season. He has pitched one of the five shutouts in the NL this season.

Cardinals Looking for Quality Pitching Tonight Against Diamondbacks

Mikolas has been a pleasant surprise for the Cardinals and one of the best in the major leagues. He signed with the Cardinals over the winter. Mikolas had three strong seasons for the Yomiuri Giants in the Japanese Central League.

He was 3-13 with a 2.18 ERA in 62 starts in Japan after being released by Texas in November 2014.

Mikolas has made 11 quality starts. That is tied for fourth in the league. After starting the season 6-0, he has lost three of his five decisions in June. He posted five quality starts and giving up one earned run in two of his losses.

He has pitched one of the five shutouts in the NL this season. Mikolas has posted a 2.68 ERA and 21-to-6 strikeout-to-walk ratio in six starts in June. He received one run or fewer of support in four of those outings.

Yadier Molina has hit 11 of his 12 home runs this season on the road.

White Sox and Reds Wrap up Tight Series on July 4th

Cincinnati Reds Baseball

White Sox Look for Two in a Row Against Surging Reds

The fans at Great American Ball Park will be treated to a interleague game between the Chicago White Sox and the Cincinnati Reds when they take their seats on July 4th.

TV: 7:10 p.m. ET, ESPN, NBCS Chicago, FS Ohio (Cincinnati)

PITCHING MATCHUP: White Sox RH Dylan Covey (3-3, 4.82 ERA) vs. Reds RH Sal Romano (4-8, 5.30)

Oddsmakers opened the Reds as -180-moneyline favorites versus the White Sox, while the game's total opened at 10. The total has held steady, but the Reds are now -175 on the moneyline.

White Sox had Huge Comeback Yesterday Against Reds

The White Sox could have easily given up Tuesday night in their game against the surging Cincinnati Reds. They fell behind 4-0 before they'd gotten an out. The Reds had taken it to 7-2 following Adam Duvall's three-run homer in the fifth inning.

Instead, the White Sox fought to tie it first at 7 a pop, on a Leury Garcia pinch-hit RBI single in the eighth. Then they tied it at 8-all on Avisail Garcia's second home run of the game and third of the series, in the ninth.

The White Sox finally broke through to win it 12-8 in the 12th. Yoan Moncada's bases-full triple and and Yolmer Sanchez's RBI triple were the difference.  Right fielder Brandon Dixon brought back MOncada's ball from over the wall to prevent a homer. He couldn't keep in his glove.

The Sox have won for only the second time in six contests and the sixth time in 19 games. Now the White Sox are in position to take the series if they can win Wednesday night.

Reds Look to Rebound and Continue Hot Play

The Reds have put together a string of improbable victories while starting to turn their season. They started turning around the season after being 3-15 and 8-27. This was a game in which they couldn't hold a succession of leads. The blew leads of -- 4-0, 7-2, 8-7 -- as they played more like they did in April.

The Reds wasted a pair of two-run homers in the first inning. There were hit by NL batting leader Scooter Gennett and NL RBIs leader Eugenio Suarez. Then add in Duvall's three-run shot. Then a timely play by Billy Hamilton. He scored the go-ahead run in the eighth on a ground ball to shortstop against a drawn-in infield.

Romano has pitched well in three of his last four starts. His June 24 outing against the Cubs, he gave up five runs in five innings being the only exception. He gave up only three runs over 20 innings in the other three starts.

Scooter Gennett has six hits -- including a homer -- and five runs scored in his last three games.

Joey Votto is 0-for-9 with four strikeouts in the series.

MLB Monday Free Betting Pick- San Francisco Giants at Colorado Rockies

Colorado Rockies

Giants are Red Hot as They Head to Face Rockies

The San Francisco Giants and the Colorado Rockies get their week’s three-game NL West clash underway this Monday night. The game is a slated 8:40 p.m. (ET) start at Coors Field.

VietBet has opened the Giants as -120 road favorites with the total set at 10. The line now has San Fran as a -110-moneyline favorite and the total has moved up to 11.

The Giants made up some serious ground on Arizona in the NL West this weekend. They had a three-game sweep of the Diamondbacks on the road. They have now won 10 of their last 12 games to move to 45-40 on the year. This puts them just 2.5 games off the pace.

San Francisco stays on the road for these three games. They are hoping to improve its 19-26 record in its first 45 road games this season. The total has stayed UNDER VietBets’ closing line in five of its last six games on the road.

It will be Madison Bumgarner's turn in the Giants’ starting rotation for Game 1. The left-hander has been razor sharp his last two starts. After holding San Diego scoreless in eight innings on June 21 before blanking the Rockies last Wednesday at home in seven innings on the mound.

His current ERA stands at 2.51 with a 1.02 WHIP.

Rockies Look to Win Series Against the Giants

Colorado’s brief three-game winning streak came to an end with Sunday’s 6-4 loss. They lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers as a heavy +214 road underdog. The Rockies took the first two games of their weekend series on the road against the Dodgers.

They are now six games in back of Arizona in the division race at 41-43.

The Rockies lost two of three to San Francisco on the road last week. Colorado has won four of its last six home games. That improves them to 15-22 at home this season. The total has gone OVER in six of its last eight home games on VietBets’ closing line.

Look for Kyle Freeland to get the start for Colorado in this game. He is coming off a solid stretch with a total of four runs allowed in his last 20 innings on the mound. The left-hander held the Giants scoreless through seven innings in last Wednesday’s matchup opposite Bumgarner.

Freeland is 7-6 on the year with a 3.29 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP.

Both of these teams have shown the ability to score runs in bunches. I still feel the best value in this game is the UNDER on the 10-run total line in light of the matchup on the mound.

Sunday Night Baseball -- Red Sox, Yankees Renew Eternal Rivalry

Yankees Sunday Night Baseball

Yankees and Red Sox Battle for AL East Lead on Sunday Night Baseball

There are baseball rivalries, and then there’s the Boston Red Sox versus the New York Yankees. These ancient American League foes will do battle once again this Sunday at Yankee Stadium. They fight over first place in the AL East.

Naturally, this marquee matchup will be on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball at 8 PM ET.

Oddsmakers have the Yankees as -185-moneyline favorites. The total is 8.5 after opening at 8.

Bet on baseball at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

This is an especially important game for the Red Sox (56-28, +10.06 betting units). They’re sending David Price to the mound. He started the season off slowly while dealing with carpal tunnel syndrome. Price (3.66 ERA) has led Boston to nine wins in 10 games since coming off the disabled list.

That leaves the Red Sox up 4.90 units at 11-5 with Price this year – but will his tender left arm hold up much longer?

The Yankees (53-27, +6.92 units) respond with their new ace, Luis Severino. The 24-year-old righty is pitching lights-out baseball. He has rocketed to the top of the money list at +11.35 betting units. Severino has a stingy 2.10 ERA and a team record of 15-2.

Against the Red Sox, Severino is 1-1 at minus-0.21 units, giving up seven earned runs in 11 innings while splitting the pair.

The first thing we noticed is they have an excellent player interface that is almost like a sports betting software.  This is because their roster format and score setting is dynamic and easy to use. The website itself is very inviting and you can tell they put a lot of thought into it.

Fanpicks.com reviewFor example, the fantasy sports contests are clearly labeled with detailed description, prize pool, size and start time. One of the best features is the filter option that allows you to find exactly the contest you want.

Entering a contest is very easy thanks to the simplicity of their contest entry format.  Changing and adding players is quite simple because they eliminated the need to scroll through players.

For the mobile user, the mobile interface is just as easy.  We were surprised that they were able to squeeze all of these options while still keeping the interface clean.

In terms of promotional contests, you will not be disappointed because they have a lot of them. They have different seasonal contests at all times and regular contest as well.  Some of these contests include the Magic $1,000,000 and the Free Rolls.

Our Recommendation

If you are looking for a fun and solid alternative to mainstream fantasy sports websites, FanPicks.com is it! They have an excellent support department that is both knowledgeable and courteous.  Furthermore, their payouts are fast and efficient.
