MLB Preview: Tampa Bay Rays (47-53) vs. St. Louis Cardinals (54-45)

Betting on St. Louis Cardinals Baseball

The fans at Busch Stadium will be treated to a interleague game
between the Tampa Bay Rays and the St. Louis Cardinals when they take
their seats on Wednesday.

The Rays will pin their hopes on the pitching of right hander Alex
Cobb in this game. Cobb has a 5-6 record and a 4.08 ERA this season.

Starting this game for the Cardinals will be Lance Lynn. The right
hander has a 3.13 ERA to go along with a 11-6 record this season.

Oddsmakers currently have the Cardinals listed as 114-moneyline
favorites versus the Rays, while the game’s total is sitting at 7.

The Rays were a 7-2 winner in their most recent outing on the road
against the Cardinals. That made winners of bettors who got Tampa Bay at
+139 on the moneyline, while the total score (9) was good news for OVER
bettors.

Tampa Bay:

Team record: 47-53

Current Streak: won 5 straight games.

BetAnySports’ MLB Pick of the Week: St. Louis Cardinals vs. San Francisco Giants- Tuesday, July 1

Betting on San Francisco Giants Baseball

St. Louis Cardinals vs. San Francisco Giants- Tuesday, July 1

BAS’ Line: Giants -118 and the Total is 7 1/2 U-125

The St. Louis Cardinals will kick-off the month of July on the road
this Tuesday night in Game 1 of a three-game series against the San
Francisco Giants. BetAnySports
has opened the Giants as -130 favorites on its MLB betting moneyline
for this game with the total set at 7.5. The first pitch is scheduled
for 10:15 p.m. (ET) at AT&T Park.

The Cardinals come into this series with just two victories in their
last six games. This includes a 3-1 series loss on the road against the
Los Angeles Dodgers this past weekend in which they were outscored 17-4
in the four games. They are now 44-39 on the year and 6.5 games in back
of Milwaukee in the NL Central. St. Louis is 21-22 on the road this year
and the total has stayed UNDER in eight of its last 12 road games.

Look for Marco Gonzales to get the start for the Cardinals on Tuesday
night. The left-hander made his Major League debut last Wednesday
against Colorado and after posting three strong innings he was tagged
for five runs in the fourth. He lasted one more inning; giving-up a
total of seven hits on the night.

San Francisco continues to set the pace in the NL West with an
overall record of 46-36, but there have been some cracks in the
foundation lately with just three victories in its last 10 games and
four-straight losses to Cincinnati this past weekend at home. The Giants
only managed to score a total of six runs in those four losses and the
total has stayed UNDER in five of their last eight games.

The good news for Giants’ fans is that Tim Lincecum is due to be back
on the mound as the team’s starter after tossing his second career
no-hitter in his previous start against San Diego. That could be a tough
act to follow with an overall ERA of 4.42 this season in a total of 16
starts. Prior to no-hitting the Padres, the right-hander had given-up a
total of 17 earned runs in his last four starts.

I am banking on BetAnySports’
favorable +120 MLB moneyline on the Cardinals in this matchup as it
will be a different story for Lincecum this time around. Consistency and
holding form have not been his strong suit over the past few years,
which will be evident in a St. Louis win on the road this Tuesday night.

MLB Baseball Sportsbook Odds: Pirates vs. Cardinals Games Prediction

Betting on St. Louis Cardinals Baseball

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. St. Louis Cardinals on Friday through Sunday!

In their epic 2013 season in which they finally ended a playoff
drought that went all the way back to 1992 the Pittsburgh Pirates were
one of the top money makers on the MLB betting board and were pure gold
on the run line as well but now the question handicappers face is if the
Bucs can maintain that level of profitability for a second consecutive
season now that the betting public considers them a post season
contender. The defending National League champion St. Louis Cardinals
were also a big money maker last year and carry the reputation for
excellence than can lead to public attention and overlays on the betting
board.

The St. Louis Cardinals will host the Pittsburgh Pirates in a 3 game
weekend series that will run at Busch Stadium Friday through Sunday.
Game time on Friday and Saturday night is set for 7:05 PM ET with the
Sunday night game set for 8 PM ET with coverage on ESPN. Friday?s game
can be seen on MLBN and Saturday?s game will be televised by FOX Sports
1.

Bo Bucks for Bucs

The Pittsburgh Pirates were off to a sluggish start with the MLB Lines
as they lost 10 out of their first 18 games and saw their vaunted
pitching staff rank 19th in Major League Baseball for earned run
average. The St. Louis Cardinals were in good form with 11 wins in their
first 18 games as their pitching staff ranked 8th for earned run
average.

The Matchup and Pick!

Heading into this series the St. Louis Cardinals had won 10 out of
their last 18 games with the Pittsburgh Pirates with just 6 out of the
last 20 meetings between the Pirates and Cardinals going under the
total. The St. Louis Cardinals have won 10 out of their last 16 home
games against the Pittsburgh Pirates with just 3 out of the last 20
games at Busch Stadium between the Pirates and Cardinals going under the
total. Based on that head to head record we?ll call for the St. Louis Cardinals and over the total!

Odds Point to Brewers, But Hard-Fought NL Central On the Line

The National League Central is shaping up to be one of the hardest fought divisions in all of baseball down the stretch and this week is a perfect example. Think you know baseball? Prove it.

Starting Monday the division-leading Milwaukee Brewers will host the St. Louis Cardinals in a three-game set at Miller Park, individual game MLB odds are available in Bodog?s online sportsbook, but so are pennant and World Series futures for those thinking down the road.

It?s never too early to start talking playoff pictures, and with the wild card spot in the NL currently held comfortably by the Atlanta Braves, the race for the NL Central is only more important.

Though they?ll have the advantage of being the home team in the series, the Brewers will need to be at the top of their games if they hope to put a dent in St. Louis? record. With the Pittsburgh Pirates nipping at their heels in the division, every win is of utmost importance.

According to Bodog, the Brewers have the advantage in the big picture. With 14/1 odds of winning the World Series they top all of their NL Central counterparts in terms of MLB futures. The Cardinals, sit close behind at 22/1.

So far this season the Brewers have seen brilliant seasons from Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder and Rickie Weeks, but none of that will matter if they can?t continue their torrid pace in the final few months.
