3rd Ranked Clemson Travels to #14 Louisville on ABC

Clemson Road Fave in ACC Clash

The fans at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium will be treated to an early season ACC clash. The 3rd-ranked Clemson Tigers and the 14th-ranked Louisville Cardinals battle on ABC on Saturday night. Kickoff is set for a few minutes after 8 pm EST.

The three previous games between the teams has been decided by six points or less. All have gone down to the final play. Clemson has won them all.

Oddsmakers have Clemson as a 3-point road favorite. The total has risen to 61 after opening at 58.

Clemson won its last outing, a 14-6 result against the Auburn Tigers on September 09. Clemson covered in that game as a -6-point favorite, while the 20 combined points took the game UNDER the total.

The key for Clemson will be containing Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson. He is the reigning Heisman Trophy winner. Jackson has been impressive in early wins against Purdue and North Carolina. The QB is averaging 505 yards per game, including 385.5 yards passing.

Louisville Looking for Statement

Last time out for Louisville, they were a 47-35 winner as they battled North Carolina Tar Heels on the road. Louisville earned a push in the match as a -12-point favorite, while 82 combined points moved the game OVER for totals bettors.

Last Saturday Lamar Jackson became only the second player in FBS history to have at least 300 yards passing and 100 yards rushing in consecutive games. Jackson's 525 yards of total offense were the most ever allowed by the Tar Heels.

In Louisville's 42-36 loss last year at Clemson, Jackson almost single-handedly lifted Louisville to victory. He totaled 457 yards and accounted for four touchdowns. 11th Ranked Oklahoma State Travels to South Alabama

Oklahoma State Looks to Avoid Letdown

The fans at Ladd Peebles Stadium will be treated to a game between the 11th-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys and the South Alabama Jaguars on Friday. ESPN2 will air the game nationally. Kick-off is set for a few minutes after 8 pm EST.

Oddsmakers opened the Cowboys as -26.5-point favorites versus the Jaguars, while the game's total opened at 66. The line is now Oklahoma State -28-points while the total has risen to 69.

Jaguars Need to Improve on Defense

South Alabama lost its last outing, a 47-27 result against the Ole Miss Rebels on September 02. South Alabama covered in that game as a +22.5-point underdog, while the 74 combined points took the game OVER the total.

The Jaguars surrendered too many big plays to Ole Miss wideouts. This included two of 70-yards-plus for scores. Rebels quarterback Shea Patterson completed 28 of 35 passes for 429 yards and four touchdowns.

National League West Continues to Roll

Dodgers Looking to win National League West

Patriots 9-Point Home Favourites Versus Chiefs

Patriots Just Reload Year to Year

The 2017 NFL regular season kicks off this Thursday (8:30 PM ET, NBC) in Foxborough, MA. The defending Super Bowl champion, New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs, square off to get the 2017 NFL Season underway.

The Patriots are 9-point favorites at press time. The game opened with the Pats favored by –7.5. The over/under is 49 points after dipping as low as 47.5.

The Chiefs drafted him in the third round and expect big things.

Patriots Reload for Run at Super Bowl LII

They may have lost their top wide receiver, but the New England Patriots haven’t budged on the Super Bowl LII futures market. They’re still the +325 favourites at press time despite losing WR Julian Edelman (98 catches, 1106 yards last year) to a torn ACL. Edelman will miss the entire 2017 season, which starts September 7 when the Patriots host the Kansas City Chiefs (8:30 PM ET, NBC).

Without Edelman’s services, the defending Super Bowl champions will be relying on newcomer Brandin Cooks (78 catches, 1173 yards for New Orleans) to be their top wideout. Chris Hogan (38 catches, 680 yards) should also see some more playing time with Edelman on injured reserve.

The Alabama Crimson Tide and the Florida State Seminoles will officially kick-off the 2017 college football season on Saturday. The traditional power-houses meet at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game is set to kickoff a little after 8 pm EST and will be televised nationally on ABC.

Oddsmakers opened the Crimson Tide as -6.5-point favorites versus the Seminoles, while the game's total opened at 53. Alabama is now a 7-point favorite and the total is down to 49.5.

The Tide will motivated against FSU. The Seminoles are picked to unseat Clemson as the ACC champion this year. Florida State can match Hurts with Deondre Francois. He was also a freshman standout a season ago. Francois isn't Jameis Winston, but has lots of talent and can easily lead this team to a title. He's the Seminoles' best quarterback since Winston and if he gets protection from his offensive line can be great.

Florida State won seven of its final eight games a year ago to finish 10-3. They return nine regulars on defense and will have star safety Derwin James back at full strength. He only played two games in 2016 because of a knee injury.
