SNF Preview: Eagles Going for 10th Straight in Seattle

Philadelphia Eagles Football

Eagles Could Clinch the NFC East With Win

The fans at CenturyLink Field will NFC's top-seeded Philadelphia Eagles and the Seattle Seahawks when they take their seats on Sunday. The Sunday Night Football matchup will kick-off around 8:25 pm EST. NBC will have the coverage.

The Eagles are winners of nine straight games. They will look to make it 10 in a row against the Seahawks. The Seahawks are battling to remain in playoff contention. Philadelphia already owns the best record in the league. They are also the only team to score at least 20 points in all 11 games this season.

Oddsmakers opened the Eagles as -5.5-point favorites versus the Seahawks, while the game's total opened at 48. The Eagles are now 3-5-point favorites and the total is down to 46.

Seattle Fighting for Playoff Lives

Seattle was a 24-13 winner in its last match on the road against the San Francisco 49ers. They covered the -7-point spread as favorites, while the total score of 37 sent UNDER bettors to the payout window.

The banged-up Seahawks are still quite dangerous at home, and especially at night. They have gone 21-4-1 in Sunday, Monday and Thursday night games since 2010. They're 13-2 at home in prime time under coach Pete Carroll.

Seattle will be without key players Richard Sherman, who had asseason-ending Achilles injury. Strong safety Kam Chancellor has neck issues and defensive end Cliff Avril also has neck issues.

Quarterback Russell Wilson continues to play at a high level. He has completed 256 of 411 passes  for 3,029 yards, 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Wilson has started 91 consecutive games. That is the fifth-longest active streak.

The Seahawks are attempting to reach the playoffs for the sixth straight year. They're seventh in the NFC playoff race at the moment.

Wentz is Key to Eagles Success

Philadelphia was a 31-3 winner in its last match at home against the Chicago Bears. They covered the -14-point spread as favorites, while the total score of 34 sent UNDER bettors to the payout window.

Much of the offensive success is because of how second-year quarterback Carson Wentz has played. He is a legitimate Most Valuable Player candidate. Wentz is 213 of 354, 60.2 percent,  for 2,657 yards, 28 touchdowns and only five interceptions.

Wentz is just the third quarterback in league history to throw at least 28 touchdowns and no more than five interceptions through the first 11 games. He is in good company by joining New England's Tom Brady and Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers. Brady accomplished the feat in 2007 and 2015. Green Bay's Rodgers did it in 2011 and 2014.

Wentz has also thrown multiple touchdowns in seven straight games. That is tied for the longest streak in Eagles history. Wentz's 28 touchdown passes ranks fifth in Eagles history behind Sonny Jurgensen, who had 32 in 1961. Then Donovan McNabb had 31 in 2004. Rounding out the group is Randall Cunningham, who had 30 in 1990, and Norm Snead, who had 29 in 1967.

The Eagles have allowed a only 716 rushing yards this season. That is the fewest allowed through 11 games in team history. In last Sunday's victory over the Chicago Bears, the Eagles gave up just six rushing yards.

NFL Week 13 Pick- Minnesota Vikings at Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta Falcons Football

Atlanta Falcons and Minnesota Vikings Both Streaking

The Minnesota Vikings aim to keep things rolling in the right direction this Sunday. They have a key road game against the Atlanta Falcons. Game time from Mercedes-Benz Stadium is set for 1 p.m. on FOX.

BetAnySports has opened the Falcons as three-point home favorites with the total set at 47. The line now has the Falcons as 2-point favorites. The total has crept up to 48.5.

Vikings Going for 8th Straight Win and 7th Straight Cover

Minnesota moved to 9-2 straight-up on the year with last Thursday’s 30-23 victory against Detroit. They covered as a 2.5-point road favorite. It was its seventh win in a row and the six-straight cover for Minnesota. The win moved them to 8-3 against the spread.

The total went OVER BetAnySports’ closing 45-point line. The total has gone OVER in four of the Vikings’ last five games. They stay on the road this week with a 3-2 record ATS in five previous road games this year.

Fifth-year quarterback Case Keenam has the Vikings currently eighth in the NFL in scoring with 24.6 points per game. Last week they moved to fifth in average yards gained (375.7). He ended the game against the Lions with 282 yards passing and two touchdown throws. Keenum has passed for 2,476 yards and 14 touchdowns this season against five interceptions while completing 66.1 percent of his 330 attempts.

Atlanta Falcons Going for 4th Straight Win

Atlanta has been able to turn things around with a three-game winning streak (SU and ATS) after posting a 1-4 SU record in its previous five games. It failed to cover in all five contests. The net result is a 7-4 SU mark that has the Falcons just one game off the pace in the highly competitive NFC South title race. They are 5-6 ATS on the year and the total has gone OVER in three of their last five games on BetAnySports’ closing line.

With an average of 31.7 points in its current three-game run, Atlanta’s offense has regained its early season form that made it one of the highest scoring teams in the NFL. Overall, this offense is 11th in the league with 24.1 PPG and it moves to sixth in total offense. Matt Ryan is back on track with five touchdown throws against just one pick in his last three games and Julio Jones is coming off a 12-reception performance against Tampa Bay on Sunday for 253 yards and two scores.

This Sunday’s conference showdown should be a highly entertaining game between a pair of playoff contenders in the NFC, but only one can come away with the SU win. While I will refrain from making a pick as to which team covers ATS at BetAnySports, I will go with the OVER on the current 47-point total line.

UFC 218: Holloway vs. Aldo 2

UFC 218 Holloway - Aldo 2

UFC 218: Holloway vs. Aldo

Rio de Janeiro saw Max Holloway snatch the Featherweight title from Jose Aldo. That was just last June during UFC's 212. The local Aldo appeared strong and poised to keep the honor during the beginning of the fight, "Blessed" Holloway eventually won the evening with a TKO victory.

The time's come for the rematch!

Fight #2 will take place at Little Caesar's Arena in Detroit (10 pm ET) on Saturday, Dec 2nd.

When they last met in June, Max Holloway defeated Jose Aldo to unify the UFC Featherweight Championship at UFC 212. Holloway was a +120 underdog in that bout. He’s a heavy –290 favorite for the Saturday main-event rematch at UFC 218. It is live on pay-per-view from Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. Aldo is now in the underdog role at +225.

Bet on MMA at BetPhoenix and get a free 175% bonus.

It wasn’t that long ago when Aldo (26-3 lifetime, 8-2 UFC) was considered one of the best fighters in the sport. Nothing was the same after Conor McGregor knocked him out in 13 seconds at UFC 194. He took the Featherweight title Aldo had held since it was created in 2010. Aldo beat Frankie Edgar (–145) for the interim title last year, then was promoted to undisputed champion after McGregor won the Lightweight belt and left the division.

Holloway (18-3 lifetime, 14-3 UFC) earned the interim Featherweight title after scoring a third-round TKO win over Anthony Pettis (+200) at UFC 206, then did the same to Aldo (–195) after appearing to lose the first two rounds. Volume striking was the key to Holloway’s success, eventually wearing down Aldo’s once-impregnable defense and landing with power.

ACC Championship: Hurricanes Face CFP #1 Clemson

Dr. Pepper ACC Championship Game

Canes in ACC Championship has Chance at #1 Tigers

The Miami Hurricanes and the Clemson Tigers will meet in the Dr. Pepper ACC Championship on Saturday at Bank of America Stadium. The game is set to kickoff a few minutes after 8 pm EST. ABC has the telecast.

As hard as this is to believe, the Miami Hurricanes will make their first ACC title-game appearance since joining the league in 2003. Clemson is 11-1 and will be bidding for its third consecutive ACC title and their third straight berth in the College Football Playoff.

Oddsmakers opened the Tigers as -8-point favorites versus the Hurricanes, while the game's total opened at 48. The line now shows Clemson as 12-point favorites. The total is now at 47.

Clemson Looking for 3rd Straight CFP Appearance

Last time out for Clemson, they were a 34-10 winner as they battled South Carolina Gamecocks on the road. Clemson covered in the match as a -13.5-point favorite, while 44 combined points moved the game UNDER for totals bettors.

Clemson is back in the national title hunt for a third straight year. That is due to the rapid development of junior quarterback Kelly Bryant. He was was charged with replacing two-time Heisman Trophy finalist Deshaun Watson.

The Tigers have flourished thanks to a defense that ranks with the nation's best. Clemson is sixth nationally in total defense and is in the top 10 in nine other defensive categories.

Clemson's defensive line features four players who were either first- or second-team All-ACC selections. The future NFL draft prospects are tackles Christian Wilkins and Dexter Lawrence, and ends Clelin Ferrell and Austin Bryant.

The last time that Clemson and Miami played the Tigers rolled to a 58-0 victory. It turned out to be the last game for Al Golden back in 2014.

Miami Coming Off Upset as the Nations 2nd-Ranked Team

Seventh-ranked Miami is coming off an upset loss at Pittsburgh. Miami was ranked #2 in the nation and the loss spoiled the Hurricanes' bid for a perfect season. A win Saturday could put Miami into the playoff in Richt's second year at the helm.

Richt spent 15 years at Georgia before replacing Al Golden at Miami prior to last season. He has overseen a rapid turnaround at his alma mater. The Hurricanes are 19-4 record in two seasons.

Richt's team has been built around an opportunistic defense. That D is led by safety Jaquan Johnson and linebackers Shaquille Quarterman and Michael Pinckney. The Hurricanes lead the nation with a plus-17 turnover margin. They also lead the country in sacks with an average of 3.55 per game.

Junior quarterback Malik Rosier has had plenty of big moments this season. Especially with late-game heroics in victories against Florida State, Georgia Tech, Syracuse and North Carolina.

Running back Travis Homer has been productive by rushing for 861 yards since taking over for the injured Mark Walton. The Hurricanes will be without standout tight end Chris Herndon, who suffered a season-ending injury against Pittsburgh.
