Hapless Giants Look to Spoil Cowboys Playoff Chances

The New York Giants (2-10 SU, 5-7 ATS) have fired head coach Ben McAdoo and GM Jerry Reese. Will the change help them beat the visiting Dallas Cowboys (6-6 SU and ATS) this Sunday? New York can help spoil the Cowboys’ playoff chances with a win.

Thursday’s victory was Dallas’ first in four games since RB Ezekiel Elliott began serving his six-game suspension.

NFL Week 14 Pick- Oakland Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs

Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs Fight for AFC West

Two 6-6 teams sitting at the top of their division clash this Sunday. The Oakland Raiders are going on the road to face the Kansas City Chiefs in a 1 p.m. start on CBS from Arrowhead Stadium. BetAnySports opened the Chiefs as 3.5-point home favorites with the total set at 47. The Line has inched up to KC as a 4-point favorite and the total is now at 48.

The Raiders evened their record on the year to 6-6 straight-up with Sunday’s 24-17 victory against the New York Giants. They failed to cover BetAnySports’ closing 10-point spread they are a costly 4-7-1 against the spread. The total has now stayed UNDER in their last three games. Oakland is 2-3 ATS this season when closing as an underdog.

Both Michael Crabtree (league suspension) and Amari Cooper (concussion) were out of the lineup in Sunday’s win, but Derek Carr still manage to throw for 287 yards including 97 yards to Cordarrelle Patterson as the team’s leading receiver. Marshawn Lynch added 101 rushing yards and a touchdown run to the winning effort. Overall, Oakland is still ranked 25^th in the league in rushing yards and it is 21^st in scoring with 20.8 points per game.

Kansas City Chiefs Look to Find Early Season Dominance

Kansas City continues to head in the wrong direction following a promising 5-0 start (SU and ATS) with Sunday’s 38-31 loss to the New York Jets as a four-point road favorite. It is now 6-6 both SU and ATS with an even 5-5 record ATS when closing as a favorite. The total went OVER 44.5 points against the Jets after staying UNDER in four of the Chiefs’ previous six games.

The Chiefs’ offense had been in a major funk in its last four games heading into the game against New York with a combined 55 points scored, so the 31 points scored in Sunday’s loss was a step in the right direction. Alex Smith threw for 366 yards and four touchdowns against zero interceptions. The defense allowed 488 yards to the Jets and this unit is now ranked 30^th in the NFL in yards allowed (382.2) and 15^th in points allowed (22.8).

Kansas City has a SU 4-1 edge in its last five home games against the Raiders, but it lost this season’s series opener 31-30 on Oct. 19 as a three-point road favorite. Even though that game went way OVER BetAnySports’ closing 46.5-point total line, I am going with the UNDER 48 points as my ‘best bet’ pick given each team’s current form.

Cavs Host the 76ers on Saturday Night

76ers Will Sit Embiid Tonight

The fans at Quicken Loans Arena will see the Philadelphia 76ers and the Cleveland Cavaliers when they take their seats on Saturday. The game will be telecast in each teams local market at 8 pm EST.

Oddsmakers opened the Cavaliers as -6-point favorites versus the 76ers, while the game's total opened at 220.5. The linesmakers now have the Cavs as 7-point favorites over the 76ers. The total has dropped to 219.

Cavs Look to Start New Winning Streak Against 76ers

Cleveland was a 106-102 loser in its last match on the road against the Indiana Pacers. They failed to cover the -3.5-point spread as favorites, while the total score of 208 sent UNDER bettors to the payout window.

The loss ended their winning streak at 13 games. A win would have meant a team record for the longest winning streak.

The Cavs were once 5-7 and facing questions about their age and roster. All of those issues were put away by a winning streak that started Nov. 11. An ice-cold fourth quarter against the Pacers in which the Cavaliers scored one point in the first 5:55 of the quarter all but ensured an end to the streak.

The Cavs beat the Sixers 113-91 on Nov. 27 in Philadelphia. Embiid was the lone bright spot for the Sixers.. He scored 30 points to go with 11 rebounds. He was so disruptive that Kevin Love, who was guarding Embiid, said he apologized at the end of that game to James.

The Cavs smothered the Sixers in the first meeting on defense. They held Philadelphia to .375 shooting. James posted 30 points, 14 rebounds and three assists.

76ers Still has Young Talent Against Cavs

Philadelphia was a 107-104 loser in its last match at home against the Lakers. They failed to cover the -8.5-point spread as favorites, while the total score of 211 sent UNDER bettors to the payout window.

The Sixers will still have young star power against the Cavs. Ben Simmons registered his third triple-double of his rookie season Thursday. He coudn't help stave off a loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Simmons had 12 points, 13 rebounds, 15 assists.

Simmons became just the third rookie in NBA history to have three triple-doubles in his first 23 games. He is in great company, as he joined Oscar Robertson and Magic Johnson as the only two other rookies to accomplish the feat.

Simmons is 6 feet 10 and sometimes is compared with King James. They are similar is style and stature.

Pens Host the Maple Leafs in NHL Action

Crosby Faces Maple Leafs Young NHL Star Tonight

The Toronto Maple Leafs and the Pittsburgh Penguins meet in Saturday NHL action.  The battle will commence at PPG Paints Arena at 7 pm EST. NHL Network will have all the coverage.

Sidney Crosby has been the face of the NHL for this generation. The 30-year old Penguins star will again get to see one of the NHL's brightest young players tonight.
