Alouettes Host Blue Bombers in CFL Week 2 Action

Alouettes CFL Football

Alouettes and Bombers Looking for First Win

The fans at Percival Molson Stadium will be treated to a game between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Montreal Alouettes when they take their seats on Friday. Both teams are looking to pick up their first wins of the season.

Oddsmakers have the Blue Bombers as 3 point favorites. The total is at 47.5. Kickoff is set for 7 pm EST and will be telecast by ESPN2, TSN, and RDS.

Alouettes Looking for Any Break It Can Get

In their last action, Montreal was a 22-10 loser on the road against the Lions. They failed to cover the +8.5-point spread as underdogs, while the combined score (32) was profitable news for UNDER bettors. That makes 12 straight losses for the Alouettes.

The Alouettes need a win and need one quickly to keep a repeat of the 2017 season from happening. A 13th straight loss could be devastating to the high hopes of a new season.

T.J. Graham remains out for the Alouettes after missing the season-opener. The Als boast a deep receiving corps that could benefit from the speed of off-season addition Chris Williams. Williams fell two yards shy of a the century mark in his first game. He caught six passes for 98 yards. One play getting behind the Lions’ defense.

The Als’ O-line will have to protect Willy for the team to stretch the field. Doing so will be a test following an injury to Ruben Carter. The Als will start Sean Jamieson in his spot at right tackle. The O-line allowed five sacks last week.

Blue Bombers Look to Bounce Back After Tough Defeat

Last time out for Winnipeg, they were a 33-30 loser as they battled the Eskimos at home. The Blue Bombers covered as a +7-point underdog, while 63 combined points moved the game OVER for totals bettors. Last week’s weather-delayed Thunder Bowl was a tough loss to swallow.

Rookie gunslinger Chris Streveler showed legitimate play-making ability with his three TDs. He showed his inexperience as well with two INTs. Streveler overall looked capable of running an offense efficiently in place of injured starter Matt Nichols.

Streveler will make his second professional start on Friday night. Few players have spent more time at the stadium and in the film room than Streveler. He is a true rookie out of South Dakota.

The Bombers’ lineup will see some changes from Week 1. Maurice Leggett and Ian Wild both return to Winnipeg’s deep linebacker corps. Newly signed Mitchell Gale will slot in at the 3rd QB on the depth chart. National running back Kienan LaFrance slides in to back up Andrew Harris.

Leggett is easing back from injury. He has recorded 50 or more tackles in each of his four seasons as a Bomber. The dependable Wild has had two of his last three seasons derailed by injury. Gale last suited up for BC in 2017. LaFrance rushed for 273 yards and a pair of touchdowns with Saskatchewan.

Yankees Killing It - Find a Great Bookie for Baseball

Yankees Baseball

By: The Frisco Kid

Are the Yankees the Best in MLB?

In this piece we will talk about handicapping the New York Yankees. Baseball is the sport to be betting on right now. Football starts in just seven short weeks. Now is the time to make some serious cash and pad the bankroll.

The Yankees are a great option simply because they are the best team in the Majors. They are stacked, they are deep and they are killing it. With a 50 and 22 record, this team is hard to beat. If you are still looking for the perfect sportsbook for baseball then by all means get busy and find them.

If you are at all serious you should have more than one bookie for baseball. Hopefully you are happy with the current betting service that you are using. If you are then keep them.

There are certainly many bookies out there and they all claim to be the best but you know how well your bookie is serving your gaming needs.

Betting Daily MLB Baseball Props at Online Sportsbooks – America’s Bookie

Bookmakers are a dime a dozen and they are easy to find online. Read the reviews and find the ones that work for you. Find a great bonus and find a book that offers competitive lines and odds. Most of the online reviews are very thorough and best of all reliable.

Depend on professional review sites to help take you in the right direction.

Become A Smarter Sports Bettor - Sports Betting Picks, Tips and Strategies

Handicapping baseball is a must if you want to win and win consistently. You absolutely must know why you are making the bets that you are making. Many folks fall into the trap of giving up. Don’t play baseball this way.

What we mean is bettors will bet on a team one or two times and lose and stop betting them.

What if you had bet on the Yankees five games ago when they played the last of a four game set with the Rays and they lost? Would you have given up on the Yankees? They have won four in a row, you would be losing out.

Americas Bookie Winning Friends with a Great Reputation

Forget about a past loss, chalk that one up and move on. Don’t ever forget that the best teams in baseball will lose 50 games or more. There is a loss factor simply because the season is long.

With a schedule of 162 games you are bound to lose. Nobody can pick a winner every single night but with the Yankees; it’s close!

Sports Betting Forums - Gamblers Love Exchanging Ideas and Information

The Yankees are coming off a three game sweep of the Seattle Mariners. They made a pretty good Seattle club look very bad.

It’s that lineup. They are stacked and as long as this team is healthy, they will win the majority of their games. Aaron judge is putting up some unbelievable numbers with 19 homers on the season as well as 74 hits and a .398 OBP.

Americas Bookie – Your Friendly All-Inclusive Sportsbook

This weekend the Yankees travel to Tampa to take on the Rays and the fact that this series is on the road should have zero bearing on the outcome of any game. They took three of four from the Rays earlier in the week, in the Bronx.

Now, the team is off on a road trip to Tampa and the litmus test must be passed. If any one team can pass the test it looks like it could be the Yankees.

Call your online bookie service and get in for this series. Who knows what will happen. Most of all have fun this weekend and hopefully win a lot of money and start you in the right direction going forward.

Dream and Liberty Battle in WNBA Action Tuesday

New York Liberty Basketball

Liberty and Dream Looking to Shake Subpar Performances

The Atlanta Dream and the New York Liberty will meet on Tuesday at Westchester County Center. Both teams experienced frustrating weekend trips to Midwest cities. They will be looking to put those games behind them starting tonight.

Oddsmakers opened the Liberty as -4.5-point favorites versus the Liberty, while the game's total opened at 151.5. The line now is New York -6 and the total is sitting at 150.5.

New York took two of three meetings with Indiana last season and has won 11 of the 14 games with Atlanta.

Liberty Hoping Close Games Start Going Their Way

New York (3-6) began the season with seven straight games decided by six points or fewer. They are coming off consecutive losses by double-digit margins and look to prove that was off-kilter.

The Liberty trailed by 26 in a 78-63 home loss to the Las Vegas Aces on Wednesday. They followed it up by trailing by 24 in an 85-71 setback at Minnesota on Saturday.

The Liberty are hoping they can shore up their interior defense and rebounding after a dismal showing in both areas lately.

They allowed 42 points in the paint on 21-of-30 shooting while scoring only 22 points inside. New York also was outrebounded 35-22. It resulted in a 19-3 disparity in second-chance points. The team could not stop Minnesota star Sylvia Fowles from constantly getting layups in a 25-point night.

Offensively, the Liberty are hoping for more support for Tina Charles. She scored a season-low 12 points on 5-of-14 shooting. No One else reached double figures. The Liberty were held below 80 points for the fourth time in five games.

Dream Looking to get Offense Going Against Liberty

Atlanta (6-5) is coming off a 96-64 loss to the previously winless Indiana Fever. After squeaking by Indiana at home last Thursday with a five-point win, the Dream shot 37.3 percent and got outscored 61-26 in the second half on Saturday.

Atlanta ranks as the lowest scoring team in the league at 73.8 points per game. They have only topped 80 points three times. The Dream also have shot below 40 percent in the last three games. Their 38.6 field goal percentage ranks last in the league, as does their 26.5 percent on 3-point attempts.

Angel McCoughtry led the team by scored 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting in 26 minutes Saturday. Her performance was welcomed. It came after she was 7 of 25 from the floor in the previous two games.

Tiffany Hayes has scored at least 20 points six times this season. She was the Eastern Conference Player of the Week last week. She injured her right ankle in the third quarter Saturday and is questionable for Tuesday.

While Atlanta ranks at the bottom in three major offensive categories, it is allowing only 77.5 points a tilt. This ranks second in scoring defense behind the Los Angeles Sparks. The Fever are hoping Saturday was an aberration on the defensive side.

Team record: 6-5 SU,4-6-1 ATS
Atlanta is 1-3-1 ATS in its last 5 games

Snell has struggled with Jose Altuve (3-for-7, two homers), Bregman (3-for-6, homer) and Evan Gattis (3-for-5, homer).

Evan Gattis earned American League Player of the Week honors after going 10-for-24 with four homers and 15 RBIs in six games.

Verlander On Top of His Game

Meanwhile, Verlander (9-2, 1.61 ERA) picked up a win in a 7-3 victory in Oakland in his latest outing, giving up three runs on five hits over seven innings. Verlander struck out seven and allowed no walks on the day.

Verlander allowed three runs in each of his last two outings. Both were victories. He has served up three homers during the stretch. He is limiting batters to a .160 average.

Verlander also owns a major league-best 0.76 WHIP while moving within three victories of 200 for his career. Verlander is 8-3 with a 3.29 ERA in 16 career starts against the Rays and has shut down Carlos Gomez (2-for-17).

MLB Monday Betting Preview & Pick- Dodgers at Cubs

Chicago Cubs

Cubs Chasing the Brewers in NL Central; Dodgers Chasing DBacks in NL West

The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Chicago Cubs kick off this week’s three-game set on Monday night. The game is slated to start at 8:05 p.m. start at Wrigley Field. BetAnySports has opened the Dodgers as -125 road favorites with the total set at 8.5.

The Dodgers saw their recent five-game winning streak come to an end on Sunday. It ended in a 4-1 loss to San Francisco as -175 home favorites. Los Angeles (37-33) is still a productive 11-3 in the month of June. They moved to just a game and a half off the pace set by Arizona in the NL West.

The Dodgers will head back on the road for its next six games at 17-14 on the road this year. The total has stayed UNDER BetAnySports’ closing line in its last four games.

Look for Kenta Maeda to get the start for the Dodgers on Monday night. The right hander gave up two earned runs on five hits in five innings against Texas at home last Wednesday.

Los Angeles has now won three of its last four games with him on the mound. Maeda is an even 4-4 on the year with a 3.61 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP.

Cubs Have Pulled Within 1/2 Game of Brewers

The Cubs are just a half game in back of Milwaukee for first place in the NL Central. They were helped by taking two of three against St. Louis at home over the weekend. They did lose Sunday’s series finale 5-0 as -118 favorites.

The has stayed UNDER BetAnySports’ closing line in seven of their last 10 games. Chicago is 40-28 overall with a 19-13 record in 32 home games this year.

It should be Tyler Chatwood’s turn in the starting rotation for Chicago. The right hander is 3-5 this season through 13 previous starts with a 4.12 ERA and a 1.75 WHIP. He took the loss last Tuesday against Milwaukee after allowing four earned runs on five hits in five innings pitched.

The Cubs are 4-2 in their last six games when Chatwood is on the mound.

Los Angeles is back to playing Dodgers’ baseball with far more wins that losses in the month of June. Behind Maeda on the mound, I like the road team’s chances to take the early lead in this series with a win on Monday night.

Cubs-Cardinals on Sunday Night Baseball

St. Louis Cardinals Baseball

Cubs and Cardinals Chasing Brewers in NL Central

The Route 66 Rivalry resumes this Sunday. The Chicago Cubs visit the St. Louis Cardinals in the finale of a three-game set at Busch Stadium. ESPN has the coverage beginning at 8 PM ET.

Southpaw Jose Quintana (4.09 ERA) is taking the mound for the Cubs. Rookie right-hander Jack Flaherty is on the hill for the Cardinals (2.96 ERA).

Oddsmakers have the Cubs as -115 moneyline favorites. The total is sitting at 8.5.

Bet on baseball at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

It’s been a good start to the 2018 campaign for both teams. The Cubs (40-27, +1.44 betting units) and the Cardinals (36-32, minus-4.20 betting units) have been playing well as of late.

They find themselves  trailing the Milwaukee Brewers for first place in the National League Central. The Cubs are 0.5 games back and the Cards are 5 games out.

The Cubs have the best hitting in baseball thus far, but their pitching has been substandard; St. Louis is less polarized, with decent results on both sides of the equation.

Quintana has definitely gotten by with a little help from his friends. The North Siders are 9-4 in his 13 starts for 1.97 units in profit. Thos numbers are inflated because they’ve given him 6.31 runs of support per game. The Cards, on the other hand, are 4-4 behind Flaherty for a loss of 1.20 units. They are providing just 4.25 runs per game and driving the Under to a 5-2-1 record.

Stampeders and Tiger-Cats Open 2018 CFL Season

Stampeders Football

Stampeders and TiCats Look to Start Strong

The fans at McMahon Stadium will be treated to a game between the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Calgary Stampeders when they take their seats on Saturday. Both teams seem to be moving in the right direction to start the 2018 season.

The Tiger-Cats are looking to pick up where they left off at the end of last year. They dropped their first eight games of 2017. The Tabbies then found new life after a coaching change saw June Jones take over the team. June Jones style of offense is fun to watch.

Hamilton finished the second half of the season with a winning 6-4 record. They could not overcome their disappointing start and  missed the playoffs. This season expectations are they will be better.

Jones Has the Offense Humming for the TiCats

The Ticats have placed their trust in Jeremiah Masoli. He enters the season as the undisputed number one quarterback. The 29-year-old has been part of the Black and Gold for the past five years. This is the first time he is starting the season as the definitive starter.

Masoli took over the reins midway through last year. His position as the starter was solidified when the Ticats traded former franchise quarterback Zach Collaros to the Saskatchewan Roughriders during the off season.

If Masoli falters they have a high-profile pivot is waiting in the wings. Former Heisman trophy winner Johnny Manziel impressed in the preseason. Jones has never wavered from Masoli as his number one. YET.

Masoli has a wealth of talent when it comes to targets. Jalen Saunders, Luke Tasker, and Brandon Banks are all coming off of 1000-yard seasons for the Black and Gold. Nikita Whitlock gets the nod at running back for Week 1. Starter Alex Green is out for two weeks while still recovering from a hand injury.

Stampeders Have High Expectations After Losing Grey Cup Game

Last year’s Grey Cup finalists have lost some key players but are still a force to be reckoned with in the West.

The biggest change on defense for the Stamps is the absence of last year’s sack leader Charleston Hughes. He was traded during the offseason.

The Stamps secondary received a boost with the addition of Emanuel Davis. His first game in the Red and White just happens to be against his former squad.

The Stamps defense is anchored by last year’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player, Alex Singleton. In his 2nd season the 24-year-old racked up an astounding 123 tackles and shows on signs of slowing down.

Bo Levi Mitchell enters his seventh season under center for the Calgary. The 2016 CFL’s Most Outstanding Player will be without his top target from last year. Marquay McDaniel was releases by the team in February.  Jerome Messam, who racked up over 1,000 rushing yards last season, is also gone.

The young wideout duo of Marken Michel and DaVaris Daniels, along with slotback Kamar Jorden, round out a strong receiving core.
