Rockies, Giants in NL West Battle

SF Giants

Giants and Rockies in Thick of Things Out West

The National League West is open for business. With the Los Angeles Dodgers riddled by injuries, both the San Francisco Giants (42-39, +8.09 betting units) and the Colorado Rockies (38-42, -2.42 betting units) have a chance to steal the division this year.

They’ll meet Thursday afternoon in the finale of a three-game series at AT&T Park, beginning at 3:45 PM ET.

TV: 3:45 p.m. ET, MLB Network, NBCS Bay Area (San Francisco)

Odds: Rockies -115 on the moneyline. Total is 8 Under -120.

The pitching matchup for Thursday looks good for San Francisco. Chris Stratton (4.14 ERA) is due up for the Giants. He’s sixth overall on the money charts at press time with +8.48 units in earnings on a team record of 11-5.

The Rockies will respond with Jon Gray (5.52 ERA). He is +3.85 units in the hole after leading Colorado to seven wins in 16 starts. The Over is checking in at 9-5-2.

The Giants are also the hotter team of the two after winning five of their last six outings. Colorado comes into this series after dropping two of three to the Miami Marlins. The Fish sit in last place in the NL standings.

A rash of bullpen injuries has the Rockies scrambling to close out games; their relievers rank dead-last in the majors with a combined 5.56 ERA.

This and That

  1. Giants INF Pablo Sandoval is hitless in 12 at-bats during the four-game winning streak.

  2. Colorado 3B Nolan Arenado is 0-for-7 in the series after having five homers and 13 RBIs over his previous six games.

  3. San Francisco C Buster Posey is hitless in six at-bats in the series and is batting .244 with two homers and seven RBIs in June.

Wings Travel to Face the Aces in Las Vegas

Las Vegas Aces Basketball

Aces Look to Rebound Against the Wings

The Dallas Wings and the Las Vegas Aces will both be gunning for a victory on Wednesday when they meet at Mandalay Bay Events Center. Both teams are having up and down seasons. They can't find consistency so tonight could catapult one of them.

Oddsmakers opened the Wings as -2.5-point favorites versus the Aces, while the game's total opened at 169.5. Dallas is -2 now and the total is down to 168.

The teams last opponents, Minnesota and Los Angeles have been the WNBA standard bearers for quite a while. Teams such as Las Vegas and Dallas can only wonder what it's like to enjoy the kind of success the Lynx and Sparks have had during their recent run. Neither team has players left from their winning days.

The Aces won 15 games over the past two years playing as the San Antonio Stars before moving to Vegas. The Wings fared a little better. They won 27 times during that span. They made the playoffs in 2017. This year, the two have shown brief flashes of progress but still have a way to go.

Aces Looking for New Start out of San Antonio

The Aces are coming off a loss to the Lynx. It is a loss that should provide a good learning opportunity for Bill Laimbeer's squad. They got a good look at what makes up a contender.

The Aces will have to control Dallas superstar Liz Cambage if they are to have a chance. She is a one woman wrecking crew.

Wings are Playing 3rd Game in 4 Days

The Wings are playing their third game in four nights. Tonight's game is a back-to-back. On Tuesday, Dallas lost to the Sparks 87-83 in Los Angeles. On Sunday, the Seattle Storm beat the Wings, 97-76.

They brought the energy in the first half Tuesday. The team carried an eight-point lead throughout the first half and led by four at halftime.

Dallas went up by eight in the third quarter. The Sparks fought back to take a lead in the fourth quarter, and ultimately win the contest.

Liz Cambage led the Wings with 25 points and 14 rebounds, her fifth double-double of the season.

The Wings were unable to stop Seattle's Breanna Stewart (28 points and 12 boards) on Sunday. In Tuesday's loss, Candace Parker knocked down 29 points for Los Angeles. The Aces' A'ja Wilson could have a field day as she averages 20.1 points and 8.5 rebounds.

Dodgers Host the Cubs With Eye on HR Record

Los Angeles Dodgers

Dodgers Need 5 HR's to Tie Team Record

The fans at Dodger Stadium will see the Chicago Cubs and the Los Angeles Dodgers when they take their seats on Wednesday. The Dodgers are on the cusp of breaking the team home run record for the month of June. They currently have 48, while the record is 53.

TV: 10:10 p.m. ET, ESPN, NBCS Chicago, SportsNet LA (Los Angeles)

PITCHING MATCHUP: Cubs RH Kyle Hendricks (5-7, 3.73 ERA) vs. Dodgers LH Alex Wood (3-5, 4.13)

Oddsmakers opened the Dodgers as -142-moneyline favorites versus the Cubs, while the game's total opened at 7.5. Now the Dodgers are -138-moneyline favorites and the total has held steady.

Dodgers HR Record is ONLY a Year Old

In June of last season the Dodgers hit 53 home runs. They were buoyed by the arrival of first baseman Cody Bellinger. No Dodgers team had ever hit that many in a month. The 1953 team did hit 49 home runs in two separate months.

The Dodgers' power explosion has been impressive. When you consider the slow start to the season. Not too many balls were flying out of the park. The Dodgers hit 25 home runs in March/April and 31 in May. Now they have exploded.

Not too long ago, Dodgers starter Alex Wood was trying to find some consistency. A mechanical adjustment on the club's previous home-stand, along with the no longer having leg cramps has allowed him to settle in.

Wood has won his last two starts. In his outing Friday against the New York Mets, he gave up two runs over six innings with seven strikeouts. He is 2-2 lifetime against the Cubs with a 2.93 ERA in eight games (five starts).

Cubs Lost 4 of last 5 of Hendricks Starts

Hendricks has given up three home runs in four June starts and 14 already this season. He may be blasted tonight. The most he has ever given up in a season is 17 in both 2015 and 2017.

The Cubs have lost four of his last five starts. On Thursday at Cincinnati, he lasted just 5 2/3 innings. The Cubs lost the first of four consecutive games against the Reds. Hendricks has given up 13 runs in June. He is 2-1 with a 3.15 ERA in three regular season starts against the Dodgers.

The Cubs have been in a prolonged offensive funk. But the tide appeared to turn Tuesday after hitting coach Chili Davis blasted them in a closed door meeting. They promptly scored 9 runs and had 15 hits in Wednesdays victory of the Dodgers.

Chicago hopes to continue receiving production from Javier Baez. The 25-year-old Puerto Rican went 4-for-5 with a pair of homers in Tuesday's win. That included a grand slam during a six-run sixth inning. It helped to end Chicago's five-game losing streak.

Baez finished a triple shy of the cycle. He has hit safely in seven of his last nine games and gone 8-for-20 with 10 RBI's over the first six contests of the Cubs' eight-game road trip.

MLB Monday Free Betting Pick- Cleveland Indians at St. Louis Cardinals

St. Louis Cardinals Baseball

Cardinals Looking to Build Off Split in Milwaukee

The Cleveland Indians head on the road this Monday night for Game 1 of a three-game inter-league tilt at Busch Stadium against the St. Louis Cardinals. Cleveland is a -123 favorite with the total set at 8.

St. Louis split an extended four-game series against Milwaukee this weekend by winning the last two games. The total went OVER 8.5 runs in Sunday’s 8-2 victory as a +112 road underdog. They have gone OVER in four of its last seven games. The Cardinals are now 40-36 overall.

They are now 4.5 games in back of the Brewers for first place in the NL Central Division race. They are 21-18 at home this season, but just 2-4 in their last six home games.

It looks like the Cardinals are going with John Gant as their starter for Monday night. The right-hander will be making his fourth start of the season after also pitching out of the bullpen. Through 26 2/3 total innings pitched, he has a 4.39 ERA with a 1.20 WHIP.

He has failed to pitch into the sixth inning in any of his first three starts this season.

Indians Going for 8th Straight Win Tonight

Look for Mike Clevinger to get the start for the Indians in this series opener. The right-hander is 6-2 on the year through 15 previous starts. His current ERA stands at 3.00 with a 1.16 WHIP after holding the White Sox to one run on five hits in 7 2/3 innings pitched last Tuesday.

Cleveland has now won three of its last five games with Clevinger on the mound.

The Indians bring a seven-game winning streak into Monday’s contest. The streak includes three-game sweeps at home against the Chicago White Sox and the Detroit Tigers in their last two series.

The total went OVER BetAnySports’ closing 9.5-run line in Sunday’s 12-2 romp against the Tigers. The Indians were -162 home favorites and it has gone OVER in four of their last five games.

Cleveland (43-33) is now eight games up on Minnesota and Detroit in the AL Central. They still have a 16-20 losing record on the road.

The lean in this one is towards the Indians as favorites on the road. However, my ‘best bet’ pick is the OVER 8.5 on BetAnySports’ total line with both teams scoring some runs on Monday night.

What we noticed about the cost per player is that it is only $5 per player without having to pay extra for added features.  This is because you get everything from Live Betting to Phone wagering at a set price. This sets them apart from other PPH services that trick people into paying more to get these features.

The Agent and Player Interface

SportsBettingSolutionAsia.com Sportsbook Pay Per Head ReviewAny bookie will be happy to use their sportsbook management interface because it is simple and easy to use.  Creating a player account only takes a few clicks and managing them is just as easy.  In addition, they have a great player management system that allows wagering limits, gaming access options and player personal information.

Furthermore, they have an excellent report generator which allows the operator to easily see player statistics, wagering patterns and more.

SportsBettingSolutionAsia.com offers several different player betting websites each tailored for different type of players.  This is because some are made for complete simplicity and privacy while others are made to be attractive and fun.

The player betting platform is based on the DGS Software with a touch of in-house tinkering.  Thus, bettors will get a pleasing and easy to use betting interface.

Since everything is automated, we did not get a chance to really interact with their customers service department.  However, when we did contact them about payment methods, we were pleased with the service we received.  This is because the clerk was knowledgeable, courteous and polite.

Recommendation

In Conclusion, we strongly recommend using this Sportsbook Pay Per Head Provider.  This is because at $5 per player for every feature on the PPH market is a bargain.  In addition, they have a quality product and service that is out of this world.

Alouettes Host Blue Bombers in CFL Week 2 Action

Alouettes CFL Football

Alouettes and Bombers Looking for First Win

The fans at Percival Molson Stadium will be treated to a game between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Montreal Alouettes when they take their seats on Friday. Both teams are looking to pick up their first wins of the season.

Oddsmakers have the Blue Bombers as 3 point favorites. The total is at 47.5. Kickoff is set for 7 pm EST and will be telecast by ESPN2, TSN, and RDS.

Alouettes Looking for Any Break It Can Get

In their last action, Montreal was a 22-10 loser on the road against the Lions. They failed to cover the +8.5-point spread as underdogs, while the combined score (32) was profitable news for UNDER bettors. That makes 12 straight losses for the Alouettes.

The Alouettes need a win and need one quickly to keep a repeat of the 2017 season from happening. A 13th straight loss could be devastating to the high hopes of a new season.

T.J. Graham remains out for the Alouettes after missing the season-opener. The Als boast a deep receiving corps that could benefit from the speed of off-season addition Chris Williams. Williams fell two yards shy of a the century mark in his first game. He caught six passes for 98 yards. One play getting behind the Lions’ defense.

The Als’ O-line will have to protect Willy for the team to stretch the field. Doing so will be a test following an injury to Ruben Carter. The Als will start Sean Jamieson in his spot at right tackle. The O-line allowed five sacks last week.

Blue Bombers Look to Bounce Back After Tough Defeat

Last time out for Winnipeg, they were a 33-30 loser as they battled the Eskimos at home. The Blue Bombers covered as a +7-point underdog, while 63 combined points moved the game OVER for totals bettors. Last week’s weather-delayed Thunder Bowl was a tough loss to swallow.

Rookie gunslinger Chris Streveler showed legitimate play-making ability with his three TDs. He showed his inexperience as well with two INTs. Streveler overall looked capable of running an offense efficiently in place of injured starter Matt Nichols.

Streveler will make his second professional start on Friday night. Few players have spent more time at the stadium and in the film room than Streveler. He is a true rookie out of South Dakota.

The Bombers’ lineup will see some changes from Week 1. Maurice Leggett and Ian Wild both return to Winnipeg’s deep linebacker corps. Newly signed Mitchell Gale will slot in at the 3rd QB on the depth chart. National running back Kienan LaFrance slides in to back up Andrew Harris.

Leggett is easing back from injury. He has recorded 50 or more tackles in each of his four seasons as a Bomber. The dependable Wild has had two of his last three seasons derailed by injury. Gale last suited up for BC in 2017. LaFrance rushed for 273 yards and a pair of touchdowns with Saskatchewan.
