Miami Hurricanes Football

Miami and FSU Renew Heated Rivalry Saturday Night

The fans at Hard Rock Stadium will a classic throwback game between
the Florida State Seminoles and the Miami-FL Hurricanes when they take

matchups between the schools from the late 80’s through the 90’s. The
wide-right trillogy still brings out hatred in FSU fans. Now that Mark
Richt has the Hurricanes back into national prominence this rivalry
should definitely heat up again.

Oddsmakers currently have the Hurricanes listed as 3-point favorites versus the Seminoles, while the game’s total is posted at 64.5.

Miami-FL was a 35-21 winner in its last match on the road against the

Florida State was a 37-35 loser in their most recent outing at home
against the North Carolina Tar Heels. They failed to cover the
-10.5-point spread as favorites, while the total score (72) made winners
of UNDER bettors.

Papa John's Cardinal Stadium will be host to a nationally televised game
on ABC between the 2nd ranked Florida State Seminoles and the 10th
ranked Louisville Cardinals. ABC will beam the game across the nation
starting at 12 noon EST.

This game appears to be a high scoring affair on paper as we have two
explosive high-octane teams. We all know the fun and gun that Bobby
Petrino runs at Louisville. Cardinals' quarterback Lamar Jackson 's
strong early-season play has catapulted him into a legitimate Heisman
Trophy candidate. Jackson totaled 610 yards (411 passing, 199 rushing)
in last week's trouncing of Syracuse.

Florida State has been hit with some early season injuiries. They lost
standout sophomore safety Derwin James for at least five weeks and
possibly as many as 10 after he underwent surgery on Tuesday to repair a
torn meniscus in his left knee. The Noles' may also be without starting
defensive end Josh Sweat due to a left knee injury suffered in practice
on Thursday.

Sweat, a sophomore, didn't fly with the team to Louisville on Thursday
night, according to published reports. It remains possible he could
travel at some point on Friday if he is ruled fit to play.

Oddsmakers currently have the Seminoles listed as 3-point favorites versus the Cardinals, while the game's total is sitting at 69.

Louisville was a 62-28 winner in their most recent outing on the road
against Orange. They covered the -17-point spread as favorites, while
the total score (90) made winners of OVER bettors.

Florida State:

Team record: 2-0 SU,1-1 ATS

Florida State is 21-4 SU in its last 25 games

Florida State is 18-3 SU in its last 21 games on the road

The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Florida State's last 5 games on the road

2016 Camping World Kickoff: Florda State Vs. Ole Miss - Handicappers Hideaway

The fans at the Florida Citrus Bowl should see a exciting game between
the Mississippi Rebels and the Florida State Seminoles when they take
their seats on Monday in the 2016 Camping World Kickoff game. FSU has
some questions to answer at QB and Ole Miss lost starters in key
positions as well. Tonights match up on ESPN starts at 8 pm EST and
could be a classic like we witnessed last night in the Texas/Notre Dame
match up.

Oddsmakers
currently have the Seminoles listed as 6½-point favorites versus the
Rebels, while the game's total is sitting at 59. This game has seen some
wild line moves as it opened at the current line (or 6 at some books)
and then was bet down to FSU -4 just a couple of weeks ago. Action in
the last few days has pushed the Seminoles to the current line. The
question begs to be asked now... Will it get to the Rebels being a full
touchdown dog?

Last time out for Florida State, they were a 38-24 loser as they battled
the Houston Cougars in the 2015 Peach Bowl. Florida State failed to
cover in the match up as a -7.5-point favorite, while 62 combined points
moved the game OVER for totals bettors.

Last time out for Ole Miss, they were a 48-20 winner as they battled the
Oklahoma State Cowboys in the 2016 Sugar Bowl. Mississippi covered in
the game as a -7.5-point favorite, while 68 combined points moved the
game UNDER for totals bettors.

Mississippi:

2015 Team record: 10-3 SU,8-4-1 ATS

Current Streak: won 3 straight games.

2015 Rose Bowl Presented by Northwestern Mutual: (3) Florida State Seminoles vs. (2) Oregon Ducks

College Football Odds: New-Look Playoff Format Unfolds Thursday

Betting on the 2014 FBS National Champion

Since the regular season finished last summer, the college football
betting community has been salivating over the arrival of a four-team
playoff bracket. At long last, after months of grueling competition, the
new postseason is about to begin.

Bet on college football at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

This Thursday, the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide will look to secure its
spot in the finals by one-upping the hungry Ohio State Buckeyes (No. 4)
in the semifinals. With a 12-1 record, it’s not surprising that the
fearsome Tide is a 9-point favorite over Ohio State for this Sugar Bowl
game. Alabama is the 11/10 favorite to win the title. The futures market
also offers an exact matchup bet for the NCAA National Championship
game, and the Alabama versus Oregon is favored with a -140 moneyline.

Oregon is scheduled to face the reigning champion Florida State
Seminoles on Thursday for a chance to contend in the final game. The
Ducks are early 9-point favorites in the matchup, but the Seminoles are
certainly capable of dealing damage.

The football world has been waiting for this week for months now, and
each of the four squads has experienced their fair share of time under
the spotlight. It’s time to see how the first year of postseason action
unfolds.

College Football Odds: Florida State on Hot Seat Heading into ACC Championship

Betting on FSU football

It’s a fine time to be part of the college football betting
community. The NCAA regular season is winding to an end with a coveted
series of conference championship games. With just days remaining until
final postseason position is announced, national contenders like the
Florida State Seminoles will be playing for more than just a title in
Week 15.

Bet on college football at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

The Seminoles dropped in the rankings last week, despite maintaining
their undefeated record at home against the Florida Gators. Now No. 4
behind Alabama, Oregon and TCU, the Seminoles will need a strong showing
against Georgia Tech in the ACC.

Starting this year, the top four teams in the country will compete
against one another in a traditional playoff bracket. The sportsbook
favors the reigning national champion Seminoles in a clash with Georgia
Tech. The Seminoles finished atop the ACC in 2014, but the Yellow
Jackets topped the conference’s Coastal Division.

Should FSU hang on to their spot in the top four, they’ll take their
7/1 futures odds into the postseason. This year’s format will be new for
everybody, but at least the Seminoles have shown that they know how to
handle the previous one.

Updated Odds to Win the 2014 ACC Championship & Atlantic and Coastal Division Titles

Saturday, June 14, 2014

Jameis Winston, Florida State favored to repeat as BCS National Champions

Betting on FSU football

The Florida State Seminoles won their first national championship
since 1999 with a thrilling 34-31 victory over Auburn to end the SEC’s
streak of seven straight national championships, as well as the BCS era
in college football.

Sports bettors are ready to look ahead, so it’s never too early to
discuss the most intriguing teams in terms of talent and betting value.
Don’t forget that next season will be the first that will use a playoff
system to determine the national champions instead of the BCS.

America’s Bookie
has the Florida State Seminoles at +300 to win the BCS National
Championship for the second straight year. Most starters from last
season will return to Florida State, including quarterback Jameis
Winston, who is also favored at +200 to join Archie Griffin as the
second-ever two-time Heisman Trophy winner.

Winston’s favorite target last season, Rashad Greene, who had nine
catches for 147 yards against Auburn in the 2014 BCS National
Championship Game, will return but Kelvin Benjamin, who caught the
game-winning touchdown, was drafted by the Carolina Panthers. The
Seminoles are still a dangerous team despite losing Benjamin and it will
be interesting to see how Winston follows up his performance from last
season.

Other short odds to win the 2015 BCS National Championship are Alabama (+550), Oregon (+700) and Ohio State (+950).

Alabama finished the regular season 11-1, which disappointed many
considering that they had won three of the last four national titles
before losing out on the SEC title and falling in the Sugar Bowl to
Oklahoma.

Quarterback Marcus Mariota will return for his senior season, which
makes Oregon a team to watch next season. The Ducks lost wide receiver
Josh Huff and running back/wide receiver De’Anthony Thomas, but they
have managed to replace skill players in the past.

Ohio State came close winning the Big Ten title, losing it to Michigan
State. The Buckeyes were 24-0 under Urban Meyer prior to that loss and
they followed that up with a 40-35 setback against the Clemson Tigers in
the Orange Bowl.

Keep in mind that winning the 2015 BCS National Championship will be
tougher, as the teams will need an extra victory with college football
ditching the BCS for a four-team playoff.

Below are the complete odds to win the 2015 BCS National Championship at America’s Bookie:

Alabama +550

Arizona +8500

Arizona State +3000

ACC Basketball Preview: Florida State Takes Go On the Road to Take on Miami

Thursday, February 23, 2012

NCAA Men's Basketball Betting Previews- No.4 Duke Blue Devils vs. No. 16 Florida State Seminoles

Pointspread: Duke -2

Total Line: 138 1/2

The Duke Blue Devils will be out to avenge an earlier loss this season at home when they go on the road to square-off against the Florida State Seminoles this Thursday night with first-place in the ACC on the line. The tip-off for this showdown is set for 7 p.m. (ET) and the game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.

Duke has played exceptionally well this season except if it is against a team from Florida. Not only did it lose to Florida State 76-73 at home as a 10.5-point favorite, it lost to Miami 78-74 in overtime as a 12.5-point favorite at home as well.

The Blue Devils are 23-4 straight-up on the year and 10-2 SU in the ACC. They are 12-15 against the spread, but 4-2 ATS in their last six games and 7-6 ATS on the road. The total has stayed ?under? in three of their last four games on the road. Duke is averaging 79.5 points a game and shooting 46.9 percent from the floor.

Florida State is also 10-2 SU in conference play after knocking-off the NC State Wolfpack 76-62 as a two-point road underdog this past Saturday. The Seminoles are 19-7 SU (13-11 ATS) overall and an impressive 14-1 SU (8-5 ATS) at home. The total has stayed ?under? in their last four home games.

The Seminoles? 76 points against the Wolfpack was the first time it scored more than 70 points in their last six games. They are shooting 45.5 percent from the floor and just 33.8 percent from three-point range. They will need a dramatic improvement in all three of these areas to have any chance at pulling-off the season series sweep.

The Blue Devils are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games in the ACC and 5-0 ATS in their last five games on the road. The total has gone ?over? in four of their last five games following an ATS win.

The Seminoles are 5-1 ATS in their last six games following an ATS win, but just 1-4 ATS in their last five games in the conference. The total has stayed ?under? in five of their last seven games overall.

Head-to-head in this series, Duke has now lost the last two games SU. It is 2-6 ATS in its last eight trips to Tallahassee and 4-11 ATS in the last 15 meetings overall with the total staying ?under? in 12 of the last 16 games. Stick with the Blue Devils to buck the recent trends with a big win on the road to end Florida State?s winning streak at two.
