Denver Nuggets at Los Angeles Lakers

The Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Lakers close out Tuesday night’s NBA betting lineup in a 10:30 p.m. tip at the Staples Center. NBA TV will carry the game nationally. VietBet has opened the Nuggets as slight two-point road favorites with the total set at 231.

The Nuggets drew first blood in this home-and-home series. Last Friday’s 1251-116 victory against Los Angeles as seven-point home favorites set the stage. They followed that win up with a 130-104 romp over Sacramento on Sunday as 11.5-point favorites at home.

Denver is now 37-30 straight-up on the year. Its record on the road this season is just 11-20. It has failed to cover in six of its last nine games. The total going OVER the VietBet closing line in 12 of its last 14 games.

All five Denver starters scored in double figures in the first game against the Lakers led by Jamal Murray’s 22 points. The Nuggets shot 50.6 percent from the field and it connected on 15 of its 31 shots from three-point range.

Gary Harris scored a game-high 21 points in Sunday’s win. Nikola Jokic posted his seventh triple-double (20 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists) of the season. Denver is ranked eighth in the league in scoring with 109.2 points per game.

Lakers Get Better as Season Moves Along

Los Angeles beat Cleveland 127-113 as a slight two-point home underdog on Sunday to improve to 7-2 SU and 6-3 ATS in its last nine games. It moved to an impressive 11-1 SU in its last 12 home games while going 10-2 ATS.

The total went OVER the VietBet closing 229.5-point line against the Cavaliers. The total has gone OVER or ended as a PUSH in 10 of the Lakers’ last 12 games.

Brandon Ingram is the team’s leading scorer with 16.2 PPG. He has been ruled out for Tuesday night with a strained groin. Julius Randle filled the void on Sunday with a career-high 36 points while pulling down 14 rebounds.

Center Brook Lopez led the way last Friday against Denver with 29 points. The Lakers are scoring 108.7 PPG, but they have topped that average in 10 of their last 12 outings.
