Golden State Looks to Take Control of The NBA Finals
The Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers resume this season’s NBA Finals tonight. The best-of-seven series is shifting to Quicken Loans Arena for Game 3. VietBet has listed Golden State as a 4-point road favorite with the total set at 216.5 for this 9 p.m. (ET) tip on ABC.
Golden State is just two more wins away from its third world title in four years. Each time they have taken on the Cavaliers. The Warriors took Game 1 in overtime 124-114 as 12.5-point favorites at home. The Warriors asserted their dominance over Cleveland with Sunday’s 122-103 victory in Game 2.
They closed as 11.5-point favorites at home on VietBets betting line. The total has gone OVER in the first two games of this series after staying UNDER in their previous five games.
Warriors Shooting is Taking Control
Golden State is an even 4-4 both straight-up and against the spread on the road in this year’s playoffs. If they continue to shoot the ball like in did on Sunday, it will not matter where this next game is played.
Stephen Curry went 9-for-17 from three-point range as part of his game-high 33 points and the Warriors as a team shot 57.3 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from beyond the arc.
The Cavaliers went down 2-1 to Indiana in the opening round. They were down 2-0 to Boston in the Eastern Conference Finals before winning both of those series in seven games.
The problem for Cleveland is that it is not facing the Pacers or Celtics this time around. Cleveland has gone a solid 8-1 SU at Quicken Loans Arena this postseason. They have a 4-5 record ATS. The total has gone OVER in three of its last four home games.
Lebron Will Have to Take Control
LeBron James scored 51 points in Game 1 and his team still lost. He added a team-high 29 points in Game 2 and the margin of defeat grew to 19 points. As great as a player that James has proven to be this entire postseason, his team does not have enough talent to hang with the defending champions.
Right now, the Cavaliers need to use their home court to its fullest advantage to cut this series lead in half.
I do not see this series going past five games, but I will bet that the lone Cavaliers’ victory is in Game 3 on Wednesday night.
