Florida Atlantic Owls
Central Florida will be extremely well-rested this Friday. While Florida Atlantic will have enjoyed only five full days off when they take the field again on Friday.
Florida Atlantic beat Bethune-Cookman 49-28 last Saturday. That was behind a school-record five rushing touchdowns from Devin Singletary.
The talented running back finished with 84 yards on the ground. It was on 19 carries while being featured consistently in goal-line situations. He has a Conference-USA record of 16 consecutive games with at least one rushing touchdown.
Chris Robison was 16-for-27 for 171 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Kerrith Whyte Jr. had 100 rushing yards as Florida Atlantic totaled 376 yards on the ground while amassing 559 total yards.
Central Florida Knights
Central Florida has more rushing yards (612) than passing yards (606) through two games this season. The Knights are averaging an impressive 7.4 yards per carry while featuring an incredibly deep backfield.
Six different Central Florida players have double-digit carries. Seven different players have ran for at least 65 yards. Adrian Killins Jr. leads the team with 127 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries.
The high-powered offense is a well-rounded machine. This was seen on their 38-0 win against South Carolina State on September 8. Quarterback McKenzie Milton wasn't at his best that day. The rushing game and defense got the job done for the Knights.
Milton completed 21 of 39 passes for 243 yards and a touchdown. He threw three interceptions in the first half, which has to change. Luckily, Central Florida held South Carolina State to 80 passing yards and 257 total yards.
They also rushed for 316 yards and four touchdowns on 47 carries. Gabriel Davis had nine catches for 111 receiving yards, the first 100-yard game of his career, and a touchdown.
