The Denver Nuggets will try and keep their season alive with a second-straight win over the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight in Game 5 of their first round, best-of-seven Western Conference matchup. Tip-off from the Oklahoma City Arena is set for 9:30 p.m. (ET) and the game will be broadcast nationally on TNT.

Denver avoided a four-game sweep with a 104-101 victory as a three-point home favorite this past Monday night. The total also ended as a ?push? at 205. This was the Nuggets? first win over Oklahoma City in April after dropping two regular season games earlier in the month and the first three games of this series.

Ty Lawson continues to lead the way for Denver with an average of 16.3 points a game including a career playoff-high 27 points in Monday?s win. The Nuggets are shooting 41.4 percent from the field and averaging 97.5 points a game against the Thunder which is far below their 47.5 percent shooting and league-high 107.5 points a game in the regular season.

Oklahoma City pulled out a 107-103 win in Game 1 as a six-point home favorite, but took control of the series in Game 2 with a 106-89 victory as a 4 ½-point home favorite. The Thunder built a commanding 3-0 series lead with a 97-94 win this past Saturday as a five-point road underdog before Monday?s loss. The total stayed ?under? in games two and three.

Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook have combined to score over 55 percent of Oklahoma City?s points in this series. Durant is averaging 30.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, and four assists, while Westbrook is averaging 26.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists. The Thunder are averaging 102.8 points a game, which is the highest total of any playoff team. They also lead in rebounds with 47.5 a game.

With the exception of Game 2, all the games in this series have been close, hard-fought battles, but that will not be the case tonight as the Thunder roll to an impressive win at home to lock-up the series.

NBA Playoff Betting Preview - Denver Nuggets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

It took until the final day of the regular season, but the first round matchups in the NBA Western Conference playoffs have been set and the No. 5 seed Denver Nuggets will square-off against their Northwest Division rival, the No.4 seed Oklahoma City Thunder in this best-of-seven series.

Denver finished the regular season on a roll with seven victories in its last 10 games and was 6-2 against the spread in its last eight. The Nuggets ended the year 50-32 straight-up and 44-34-4 ATS. The total stayed ?under? in six of its last 10 games and in 42 of 82 games overall.

Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler have done a great job filling the void left by Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups. They have combined for 27.2 points a game to help lead Denver to the highest scoring average in the NBA, with 107.5 points a game.

Oklahoma City also won seven of its last 10 games to finish the season 55-27 SU and 43-38-1 ATS. It was tied for the third-best road record in the West at 27-14 SU. The total went ?over? in four of its last five games and in 45 of 82 games overall.

Kevin Durant made a strong case for this season?s MVP with a league-high 27.7 points a game. Combined with Russell Westbrook?s 21.9 points a game, these two have accounted for 47.3 percent of the team?s points this season. Kendrick Perkins leads the team in rebounds with 7.9 a game since coming over from Boston.

The Thunder went 3-1 both SU and ATS against the Nuggets this season including a 101-94 victory on April 5 as a 4 ½-point underdog and a 104-89 romp as a 4 ½-point favorite on April 8. The total stayed ?under? in the last three meetings.

Oklahoma City is poised to make a deep run in this year?s playoffs but getting by Denver in this series will not be as easy as it looks. These two teams have a genuine dislike for one another and this should be a battle to the end. Home-court advantage prevails as the Thunder wrap this series up with a win in Game 7.

NBA Betting Preview - Denver Nuggets at Dallas Mavericks

Pointspread: Dallas -2

Over/Under: 205

The Denver Nuggets and the Dallas Mavericks will both be trying to generate some momentum heading into the postseason when the two teams square-off tonight at the American Airlines Center. Tip-off is set for 8:30 p.m. (ET) and the game will be available on NBA League Pass.

Denver is pretty much set in fifth-place in the Western Conference with five games left to play in the regular season. The Nuggets are 7-3 straight-up in their last 10, but coming off a 101-94 loss to Oklahoma City as a 4 ½-point home favorite on Tuesday night. The loss dropped them to 47-30 SU overall and 40-33-4 against the spread.

The Nuggets may no longer have Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups, but they are still the highest scoring team in the NBA with an average of 107.3 points a game. Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler are combining for 28.1 points a game since coming over from New York and Nene? is averaging 14.7 points and a team-high 7.6 rebounds.

Dallas comes into this game reeling a bit from a three-game losing streak, including Sunday?s 104-96 loss to Portland as a five-point road underdog. The Mavericks are currently in third-place in the West with an overall record of 53-24 SU and 40-35-2 ATS. They have a two-game lead over Oklahoma City in the standings with five games left to play.

Tyson Chandler is listed as questionable for this game after hurting his back in Saturday?s loss to Golden State. He is the Mavericks' leading rebounder with 9.3 a game. If he cannot go, look for Dirk Nowitzki and Shawn Merion to try and fill the void under the boards. Nowitzki leads the team in scoring with 23 points a game followed by Jason Terry, who is averaging 15.9 points.

Head-to-head, the Nuggets have won three of the last five games SU including a 121-120 victory as a three-point home favorite on Feb. 10. This time around, stick with Dallas to successfully defend it home court even with Chandler out of the lineup with a win that covers the two-point spread.

NBA Betting Preview - Denver Nuggets @ Utah Jazz

Pointspread: Jazz -3

Over/Under: 209 ½

The Denver Nuggets square off against the Utah Jazz this Thursday night in the third of four meetings between these two teams this season. Tip-off from Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City is set for 10:30 p.m. (ET) and the game will be broadcast nationally on TNT.

Denver has spent the past week adjusting to life after Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billips in light off last Monday?s blockbuster trade with New York. The new-look Nuggets have already posted victories over two winning teams with an 89-75 rout of Boston last Thursday as a 4 ½-point home underdog and a 100-90 win over Atlanta as a 6 ½-point favorite this past Monday. They are in fifth-place in the Western Conference at 35-26 straight-up (28-30-3) heading into tonight?s game against Charlotte.

Former Knick Wilson Chandler is off to a great start with his new team, averaging 17 points and 5.3 rebounds in three games. The Nuggets have averaged 98.3 points in those three games while giving up an average of just 90.7.

Utah is forging ahead without its All-Star guard Deron Williams, who was traded to New Jersey last week. The Jazz have not fared as well since he left with three losses in their last four games including a 107-102 loss to the Celtics on Monday as a 4 ½-point home underdog. They are now 32-29 SU overall (26-24-1 ATS) and in 10th place in the West.

Devin Harris, who came over from the Nets, has averaged 16.7 points with Utah which is slightly better than his season average of 15.1 points per game. Al Jefferson leads the team with 18 points and 9.2 rebounds a game, while Paul Millsap is second with 17.3 points and 7.9 rebounds. The Jazz have averaged 102 points in their last four games after averaging 99.6 points on the year.

Both teams are still trying to adjust to life without their franchiseplayer, but Denver appears to be much more determined to prove it is still a contending team in the West than Utah has. Stick with the Nuggets to take a 2-1 season series edge with a straight-up win on the road.
