The Braves Alex Wood and the Marlins Jose Fernandez Square off in a Rematch of Last Weeks Classic Duel

Betting on Marlins Baseball

The division rival Atlanta Braves and Miami Marlins are set to renew hostilities on Tuesday when they meet at Marlins Park.

The Braves will give the ball to starter Alex Wood in this one. Lefthander Wood is 2-3 this season with a 1.54 ERA.

Meanwhile, it’ll be Jose Fernandez who starts for the Marlins. Righthander Fernandez is 3-1 with a 1.99 ERA so far this season.

Oddsmakers currently have the Marlins listed as 124-moneyline
favorites versus the Braves, while the game’s total is sitting at 6.

Last time out for Atlanta, they were a 1-0 winner as they battled the
Reds at home. Moneyline bettors who got the Braves at -110 were
rewarded, while the 1 combined runs moved the game UNDER for totals
bettors.

MLB Preview: Oakland Athletics (16-10) vs. Texas Rangers (15-11)

Betting on Texas Rangers Bseball

The Oakland Athletics and the Texas Rangers will both be trying to pick up a win on Tuesday when they battle at Globe Life Park.

Lefthander Scott Kazmir will take the mound for the Athletics to start this game. Kazmir is 3-0 this season with a 1.62 ERA.

Meanwhile, it’ll be Martin Perez who starts for the Rangers. Lefthander Perez is 4-0 with a 1.42 ERA so far this season.

Oddsmakers currently have the Athletics listed as 107-moneyline
favorites versus the Rangers, while the game’s total is sitting at 8.

Oakland won its last outing, a 4-0 result against the Rangers on
April 28. Bettors who backed the Athletics at +116 on the moneyline won
on the day, and the total score (4) sent UNDER bettors to the payout
window.

Betting on OKC Thunder Basketball

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Oklahoma City Thunder — Tuesday, April 29

BetAnySports’ Betting Line: Thunder -7 and the Total is 186

Everyone knew that No. 7 Memphis was going to be a tough out in its
opening round best-of-seven series against No. 2 Oklahoma City and that
is exactly the case heading into Tuesday night’s Game 5. The Grizzlies
actually had a chance to take a commanding lead in this series, but
things got evened up at two games apiece in Saturday’s thrilling 92-89
overtime loss in a game that ended as a PUSH on BetAnySports’ closing line.

Memphis is 2-1-1 against the spread in this series and the total has
been evenly split 2-2. BetAnySports has listed the Grizzlies as
six-point road underdogs for this matchup with the total set at 186.5.
What they need to avoid is a huge swing in momentum after coming up
short in Game 4, but you have to believe that this team will be ready to
go for Tuesday’s 9 p.m. (ET) tip. They quickly bounced back from a
lopsided 100-86 loss in Game 1 as 7.5-point road underdogs with overtime
victories in the next two games.

Oklahoma City may have gotten caught looking past this series in its
quest for a NBA title, but you have to believe that Memphis has its full
attention in what boils down to a best-of-three affair. The biggest
difference in Saturday’s overtime win than the first three games of this
series was the added effort from the Thunders’ bench to get that win.
It had been the Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook show until Reggie
Jackson pumped-in 32 points in Game 4 to pace the much needed victory.

Durant has led the way in this series with 28.5 points per game and
Westbrook is a close second with 24.2 points, but these two combined for
just 30 points this past Saturday night. The Thunder are going to need
some additional support to regain the edge in this series with Durant
shooting 39.6 percent from the field and Westbrook hitting just 35.1
percent of his shots from the floor. These two have really struggled
from 3-point range and the team as a whole is shooting just 25.5 percent
from beyond the arc.

It is hard to see Oklahoma City losing this game on its home court,
but given the nature of this series with the last three games ending-up
tied at the end of regulation, I will gladly take Memphis and the six
points on BetAnySports’ betting odds for this matchup.

MLB Preview: Boston Red Sox (11-13) vs. Toronto Blue Jays (11-12)

Betting on Blue Jays MLB

The Toronto Blue Jays will be fighting to snap a losing streak on
Saturday when they take on the Boston Red Sox at Rogers Centre.

The Red Sox will pin their hopes on the pitching of righthander Clay
Buchholz in this game. Buchholz has a 0-2 record and a 7.72 ERA this
season.

The Blue Jays will counter Buchholz with Brandon Morrow. Righthander
Morrow has a 5.03 ERA to go along with a 1-1 record this season.

Oddsmakers currently have the Red Sox listed as 105-moneyline
favorites versus the Blue Jays, while the game’s total is sitting at 9.

The Red Sox were an 8-1 winner in their most recent outing on the

UNDER bettors.

MLB Baseball Sportsbook Odds: Pirates vs. Cardinals Games Prediction

Betting on St. Louis Cardinals Baseball

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. St. Louis Cardinals on Friday through Sunday!

In their epic 2013 season in which they finally ended a playoff
drought that went all the way back to 1992 the Pittsburgh Pirates were
one of the top money makers on the MLB betting board and were pure gold
on the run line as well but now the question handicappers face is if the
Bucs can maintain that level of profitability for a second consecutive
season now that the betting public considers them a post season
contender. The defending National League champion St. Louis Cardinals
were also a big money maker last year and carry the reputation for
excellence than can lead to public attention and overlays on the betting
board.

The St. Louis Cardinals will host the Pittsburgh Pirates in a 3 game
weekend series that will run at Busch Stadium Friday through Sunday.
Game time on Friday and Saturday night is set for 7:05 PM ET with the
Sunday night game set for 8 PM ET with coverage on ESPN. Friday?s game
can be seen on MLBN and Saturday?s game will be televised by FOX Sports
1.

Bo Bucks for Bucs

The Pittsburgh Pirates were off to a sluggish start with the MLB Lines
as they lost 10 out of their first 18 games and saw their vaunted
pitching staff rank 19th in Major League Baseball for earned run
average. The St. Louis Cardinals were in good form with 11 wins in their
first 18 games as their pitching staff ranked 8th for earned run
average.

The Matchup and Pick!

Heading into this series the St. Louis Cardinals had won 10 out of
their last 18 games with the Pittsburgh Pirates with just 6 out of the
last 20 meetings between the Pirates and Cardinals going under the
total. The St. Louis Cardinals have won 10 out of their last 16 home
games against the Pittsburgh Pirates with just 3 out of the last 20
games at Busch Stadium between the Pirates and Cardinals going under the
total. Based on that head to head record we?ll call for the St. Louis Cardinals and over the total!

MLB Baseball Sportsbook Odds: Pirates vs. Cardinals Games Prediction

Baseball Sportsbook Lines: Phillies vs. Diamondbacks Picks and Odds

Betting on MLB Games

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Arizona Diamondbacks Friday through Sunday!

After years as a perennial playoff contender in the National League
the Philadelphia Phillies crashed and burned last year with some of the
biggest losses on the betting board with far too much public betting
support based on their past success. The Arizona Diamondbacks were also
in the red last year and were an utter disaster on the run line as one
of the worst bets on the board, though the Phillies were even worse on
the run line as only the San Francisco Giants lost more money in that
wagering sector. The Phillies are trying to jumpstart their franchise
with new manager Ryne Sandberg while the D Backs have a great leader in
Kirk Gibson, who gets everything and more out of whatever he has. The
Arizona Diamondbacks will host the Philadelphia Phillies at Chase Field
in a 3 game weekend series that will run Friday through Sunday. Friday
night’s game is scheduled for a 9:40 PM ET with Saturday’s game set for
an 8:10 PM ET start. Sunday afternoon has a starting time of 4:10 PM ET.

D Backs Lack Green Backs

It was a horrible start for the Arizona Diamondbacks as they ranked
dead last in Major League Baseball for earned run average and 23rd for
run production as they lost 15 out of their first 20 games with the MLB odds.
It was not much better for the Philadelphia Phillies as they lost 10
out of their first 17 games and ranked 24th for run production while
ranking 26th for earned run average. Both Arizona and Philadelphia were
last place teams.

The Pick!

Heading into this series the Philadelphia Phillies have won 12 out of
their last 20 games against the Arizona Diamondbacks with just 9 out of
the last 20 games between the Phillies and Diamondbacks going over the
total. The Phillies and Diamondbacks have split their last 20 games at
Chase Field with just 9 out of the last 20 meetings between the
Diamondbacks and Phillies at Arizona going over the total. We’ll call
for the underdog in each game of this series and under the total for
each game.

NBA Playoffs Pick of the Week: Washington Wizards vs. Chicago Bulls — Tuesday, April 22

Betting on Bulls NBA Basketball

The Washington Wizards started the NBA Playoffs as the fifth seed in
the Eastern Conference and 4.5-point underdogs in this past Sunday’s
best-of-seven conference quarterfinal opener against the No. 4 Chicago
Bulls. After stunning the Bulls 102-93 in that game, they are now listed
by BetAnySports as 5.5-point road underdogs for Tuesday night’s Game 2 with the total
set at 181.5. Tip-off for this contest is set for 9:30 p.m. and the game
will be broadcast nationally from the United Center on TNT.

The Wizards finished four games behind Chicago in the standings and
they built up some momentum for this matchup by winning their final four
regular season games both straight-up and against the spread. The total
went OVER BetAnySports’ closing 178.5-point line in Game 1 and it has
now gone OVER in Washington’s last three contests.

The hot hand for the Wizards in Sunday’s nine-point victory was Nene
Hilario with 24 points while going 11-for-17 from the field. Marcin
Gortat added 15 points and a game-high 13 rebounds in the winning
effort. Washington shot 48.6 percent from the floor and it outrebounded
Chicago 45-39. All five starters in Saturday’s game scored in double
figures and Andre Miller added another 10 points off the bench.

The most stunning aspect of the Bulls’ loss in Game 1 was the fact
that their vaunted defense allowed 102 points after ranking first in the
NBA this season in points allowed (91.8). This was just the second time
in their last 10 games that the opposing team reached the century mark
against this team. Chicago went 8-2 SU in its final 10 regular season
games with a 6-3-1 record ATS. The total has now gone OVER in four of
its last five outings.

To avoid falling into a dreaded 0-2 hole with the next two games of
this series on the road, the Bulls will need to do a much better job
shooting the ball, especially from outside the perimeter. They hit 42
percent of their attempts from the field and when it came to shooting
the ball from 3-point range, they converted on just 5-of 20 attempts.
All five of Chicago’s starters ended the night in double figures and DJ
Augustin and Taj Gibson combined for 28 points off the bench. Joakim
Noah scored 10 points and he led the team in both rebounds (10) and
assists (4).

This matchup is a perfect opportunity to take the home team and lay
the points as the Bulls bounce back in a big way on Tuesday night to
even this series at one game apiece.
