Cavaliers Look to Close out Pacers in Game Six

Cavaliers NBA Playoffs 2018

King James Looks to Put Cavaliers into Next Round in Indy

The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Indiana Pacers meet at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Friday night. Cleveland will be looking to advance to the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. Indiana is looking to force a game seven back in Cleveland.

Oddsmakers opened the Pacers as -1.5-point favorites versus the Cavaliers, while the game's total opened at 204.5. Indiana is now favored by 1.5-points and the total down to 203.

TV: 8 p.m. EST, ESPN, FS Ohio (Cleveland), FS Indiana

Lebron James beat the buzzer to give his team a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference first-round series on Wednesday. As you know, anytime Lebron is on the floor, magic can Happen. He is arguably the best player of all-time.

James capped off a 44-point, 10-rebound, eight-assist performance by nailing a 3-pointer at the buzzer. The clutch shot gave the cavaliers a 98-95 victory in game 5 and their first lead of the series. Lebron's buzzer-beater came after he swatted away a dunk attempt by Indiana's victor Oladipo.

The play at the other end of the court was controversial. The NBA declared on Thursday should have been called goaltending.

The Cavaliers Have Been Streaky on Offense

The Pacers were ahead 56-49 at halftime. The third quarter was a doozy. Cleveland opened with a 21-4 spurt to take a 10-point lead. Cleveland has struggled some in third quarter this season.

Kevin Love added a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds in the Wednesday night slug-fest. Cleveland could use more offensive production from their Center. Cleveland has a great offensive presence when Love is in form.

Kyle Korver was the only other player to score in double figures for the Cavaliers. The sharp-shooter finished with 19 points on 6-of-11 shooting.

Cavaliers PG George Hill missed the last two games with back problems. He is questionable for Friday.

Cleveland SG Jr. Smith went scoreless on the night. He was a pitiful 0-of-8 shooting in 33 minutes.

Pacers have to get Quality Bench Minutes Tonight

Pacers center Domantas Sabonis has scored 41 off the bench in the last two games. This is after he scored only 17 in the first three games of the series. Indiana will need more production like this to force a game seven.

Sabonis is averaging 20.5 points on 17-of-24 shooting over the last two games.

Indiana Guard Victor Oladipo started out hot in the series. He is struggling over the last three games. Oladipo was just 2-of-15 from the floor while scoring 12 points on Wednesday. The All-Star is 12-of-50 over the last three games.

NHL Odds: Predators Face Jets in Western Conference Semi-Finals

NHL Western Conference Semi-Finals

Two of Best in Western Conference Battle in NHL Playoffs

This Western Conference Semi-Final clash could have easily been a Western Conference Finals matchup. The Winnipeg Jets and the Nashville Predators clash in the Second Round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The two top teams in the NHL during regular season will be the undoubted favorites to represent the West for the Cup, so don’t miss the most anticipated matchup of the postseason.

Game 1 has the Predators as 1.5-goal favorites at home, but anything could change with the drop of the puck. The total is Under 6.5 -222.

TV: 8 p.m. EST, NBC Sports Network, CBC, TVA, Sportsnet 360

Bet on hockey at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

In Round 1, the Winnipeg Jets (+600) showed that old time hockey is alive and well. Led by Dustin Byfuglien, the Jets used brute force and sound defensive play to overwhelm the Minnesota Wild offense and dominated in all areas of the ice.

This Friday the Winnipeg Jets will kick off their next series against the top team during the regular season.

Though the Nashville Predators (+400) came away victorious over the Colorado Avalanche 4-2 in their quarterfinal matchup, the Aves were a surprising challenge for the heavily favoured Preds.

Winnipeg presents new challenges for Nashville. They’ll need more than third liners Colton Sissons and Austin Watson. The duo led the team in points in the First Round. More players need to show up against the Jets.

144th Kentucky Derby: Justify Overtakes Mendelssohn

144th Kentucky Derby Horse Race

Still Lots to Shake Out before 144th Kentucky Derby

The more bettors see from Justify, the more they like him to win the 144th Kentucky Derby on May 5. Saturday’s six-furlong workout at Santa Anita Park was impressive. It was definitely enough to put Justify alone at 3/1 on top of the horse racing futures market.

That leaves former co-favorite Mendelssohn in second place at 4/1. Mendelssohn is working with trainer Aidan O’Brien at the Ballydoyle facility in Ireland. The horse is expected to ship out on April 30.

Justify has taken sole possession of favorite status for Churchill Downs another has fallen. Audible has slipped further behind in third place at 13/2. That is down from 5/1 last week. One of four viable Derby contenders trained by Todd Pletcher, Audible put in a solid workout last Friday at Palm Beach Downs.

That performance was quickly forgotten after Justify’s performance. Pletcher will also bring fourth favorite Magnum Moon (8/1) to Louisville. His other horses are Vino Rosso (16/1) and Noble Indy (20/1).

Bolt d’Oro (9/1) and Good Magic (11/1) are holding firm in fifth and sixth place on the Kentucky Derby futures odds. Hofburg finished three lengths behind Audible at the G1 Florida Derby. He moved up to 18/1 after Sunday’s workout at Payson Park.

Smoother Transactions and Several New Options at BetPhoenix Group

April 21th, 2018 – After evaluating the Cashier and transactions platform, many changes were implemented. These changes were made to make transactions run smoother and allow more options to be integrated into the system. For starters, customers will see a cleaner and more user-friendly interface as soon as they log on.

One of the major changes implemented is the ability to process “person to person” payments within the cashier. This could only be done by phone in the past. This constitutes an important addition to the platform for expediting the P2P process.

Another major inclusion, this time in the payment options section, is that customers will also be able to use “eXpress”. It is a popular cash method that uses an e-wallet. It will be within the cashier as one of the newer alternatives in the payment offer layout.

Furthermore, there is yet another innovative option included in the redesigning: the acceptance of CRYPTOCURRENCY. Very soon you will see the changes in the cashier. This change is intended to broaden the spectrum and coverage of payment methods, which is also why it will soon be integrated into the cashier as well.

Easier Credit Card Transactions at BetPhoenix Group

Another major change takes place in the credit card section. VISA and Mastercard have always been accepted from the beginning. The issue was they had a tendency to be easily rejected. This process has been readily improved and expedited. This will make it easier to accept cards from these major networks, and avoid irksome turn-downs.

Customers with clean records that hold no fraud or negative card history will be greatly benefited. As they will have a higher approval rate for services, bonus and contests.

Make it a note to access the cashier at any of the websites of the BetPhoenix Group. Once you check out all these new crucial changes designed to streamline payment procedures, we think you will be impressed.

NBA Playoffs Tuesday Free Pick- Milwaukee Bucks at Boston Celtics Game 5

NBA Playoffs 2018

Bucks Looking to Take Lead in NBA Playoffs; Tied 2-2

The opening round best-of-seven NBA Playoffs clash between the No. 7 Milwaukee Bucks and the No. 2 Boston Celtics moves to Game 5. This Tuesday night matchup has a 7 p.m. start on NBA TV from TD Garden.

BetAnySports has opened the Celtics as 2.5-point home favorites with the total set at 204 points. The line is now Boston -4 and the total is 203.

Home court has prevailed in this series to make it a best-of-three showdown. Milwaukee lost the series opener by six points as a four-point road underdog. They suffered a double-digit loss in Game 2 as a one-point underdog. Two victories on their home court have evened the series.

Sunday’s 104-102 win as six-point favorites has the Bucks right back in the thick of things. This tight Eastern Conference clash is what was expected with the upstart Bucks and injured Celtics. The Bucks are 1-3 against the spread in the first four games. Each of the contests has gone OVER BetAnySports’ closing line.

Milwaukee’s chances to get a win on the road this Tuesday night hinge on the play of forward Giannis Antetokounmpo. He scored a team-high 27 points in Sunday’s Game 4 win. He boosted his scoring average in this series to 27.8 points per game.

He has also led the way in rebounds (8.5) and assists (6.5). Khris Middleton has been an important part of the offense as well with 25.5 PPG.

Celtics Looking to Take Lead in NBA Playoffs Series

Boston blew an excellent opportunity to take control of this series in Sunday’s road loss. They return to TD Garden for Game 5 with a 6-1 mark both SU and ATS in its last seven home games. The total has gone OVER BetAnySports’ closing line in the Celtics last six contests at home.

Jaylen Brown has stepped up his game in this series as Boston’s leading scorer with 23.8 PPG. He is just one of five players averaging at least 14 points through the first four games. The Celtics are shooting 44.2 percent from the field with a sketchy 27.5 field goal average from three-point range. That is dragging this percentage down.

It was the second 30-point effort of the series for Brown. He made five 3-pointers in two of the past three games. Point guard Terry Rozier came back to earth. He averaged 9.5 points on 5-of-19 shooting in the two losses in Milwaukee. He averaged 23 points over the first two games when he badly outplayed Bucks veteran Eric Bledsoe.

Their normally stout play on defense has been lapse at times with a points-allowed average of 108.3.

I will continue to ride the home team in this series SU, but when it comes to betting on Tuesday’s matchup, I am going with the OVER on BetAnySports’ 203-point total line as my top play.

Timberwolves Host Rockets; Look to Even Series

Timberwolves NBA Playoffs

Timberwolves Look to Build Off of Game 3 Route

The Houston Rockets and the Minnesota Timberwolves will battle in Game 3 of their playoff series at Target Center. The TWolves bounced back in it's first home game and look to even the series tonight.

TV: 8 p.m. ET, TNT, AT&T SportsNet Southwest (Houston), FS North (Minnesota)

Oddsmakers opened the Rockets as -5-point favorites versus the Timberwolves, while the game's total opened at 219. Houston is now a 6-point favorite. The total has fell to 217.5.

The Timberwolves hosted their first playoffs game since 2004. Minnesota shot 50 percent from the floor in the game three route. They also shot 55.6 percent from 3-point range. Not to be outdone the team handed out 29 assists while rolling to a 121-105 win.

Rockets Look to Rebound

Houston star James Harden scored 29 points in Game 3. That was a huge bounce back from a 2-of-18 shooting effort in Game 2. Shooting guard Eric Gordon continues to struggle from the floor. Gordon is putting up 10.3 points in the postseason on 28.2 percent shooting. He's only 6-of-26 from 3-point range. Gordon averaged 18 points during the regular season.

PF Ryan Anderson (ankle) missed the first two games of the series. He went 4-of-6 from 3-point range in his Game 3 return.

The Rockets shot 47.5 percent from the field in the second half. They had seven turnovers and were just 6 of 19 (31.6 percent) from 3.

Chris Paul had 17 points and six assists, but the Rockets now need to make an adjustment.

Houston wants to get back to its defensive approach. They want to limit Minnesota as it did in the first two games of the series. The Timberwolves averaged 91.5 points per game in the first two games. They only shot just 38.8 percent from the field in Game 2.

Timberwolves Need Game 3 Jimmy Butler

Minnesota All-Star swing-man Jimmy Butler averaged 12 points in the first two games of the series. He only attempted a total of 17 shots in those games. He was a different player in game three in front of the home fans.

Butler exploded for a team-high 28 points on 10-of-19 shooting. He was 4-of-6 from beyond the arc, and added series highs of seven rebounds and five assists in the win.

Reserve PG Derrick Rose is averaging 14 points in the series. That is way up from his 8.4 during the regular season.

PG Jeff Teague scored a series-high 23 points on 9-of-14 shooting in Game 3.

The Timberwolves hit Fifteen 3-pointers in Saturday's win. That is a huge reversal of the regular season. The TWolves hit the fewest 3's per game of any of the NBA teams.

Minnesota also got Karl-Anthony Towns more involved on the offensive end. The All-Star center had nine shots in each of the first two games. He scored a total of 13 points. On Saturday, he had 18 points, including 12 in the second half.

Reds Host the Surprising Braves

Atlanta Braves

Braves are Two Games Back of Mets in NL East

The Atlanta Braves and the Cincinnati Reds will on Monday at Great American Ball Park. The Reds are in peril and the Braves have surprised much of the National League.

TV: 6:40 p.m. ET, FS Southeast (Atlanta), FS Ohio (Cincinnati)

PITCHING MATCHUP: Braves RH Mike Foltynewicz (1-1, 2.53 ERA) vs. Reds RH Sal Romano (0-2, 5.75)

Oddsmakers opened the Braves as -122-moneyline favorites versus the Reds, while the game's total opened at 9.

These teams are experiencing completely different beginnings to the season. Atlanta opens a four-game series at struggling Cincinnati. The Braves, who were rained out of Sunday's series finale against the New York Mets. They are off to their best start in four years.

The Reds begin the week with baseball's worst record at 3-18 after falling Sunday 9-2 at St. Louis.

Reds Pitching has Struggled and Offense is not Great Either

Cincinnati's bullpen gave up six runs in three innings Sunday. The relievers ERA is 5.30, while Reds starters own a 5.71 ERA. Rookie outfielder Jesse Winker collected a RBI double to raise his average to .283. He has reached base in each of his past nine games. The Reds are averaging just 2.9 runs per game.

Romano has struggled with his control through four starts. He has walked 11 hitters. That is the same as he has struck out. Romano has given up four "Creatures" in 20 1/3 innings.

The 24-year-old pitched better in his last start Tuesday at Milwaukee. He gave up two runs on four hits with two walks and four strikeouts in five innings. Romano held the Braves to one run on five hits in seven innings in a victory last season. That is his only career appearances against Atlanta.

Cincinnati 1B Joey Votto recorded his 1,604th career hit Sunday. That moved him into second place among major-league players from Canada. Larry Walker sits atop the list at 2,160.

The Reds have scored only seven runs on 27 hits in their past five games. They have no homers, 14 walks and 36 strikeouts.

Braves Have Top Offense in National League

Atlanta entered Sunday leading the NL in runs scored with 111, doubles with 47, batting average at .266, and slugging percentage .427. Their starting rotation has posted a 1.97 ERA in its past 15 games. Rookie second baseman Ozzie Albies has 16 extra-base hits. He has nine doubles and six homers. Shortstop Dansby Swanson has eight doubles and is hitting .342.

Foltynewicz was scheduled to start Sunday's rainout. He is a different pitcher this year. He has increased usage of his slider through four starts to 26.3 percent. Compare that to 21.2 percent last season. The 26-year-old has not allowed more than two earned runs in a start.

Folty has struck out seven or more in three of four outings. Foltynewicz  gave up one run on four hits Tuesday against Philadelphia. He 1-0 with a 1.93 ERA in three career starts against the Reds.

Celtics Look to Take Huge Lead over Bucks

Celtics NBA Playoffs

Celtics Look for 3-0 Lead

The Boston Celtics will be trying to take a commanding lead in their playoff series on Friday. They take on the Milwaukee Bucks at Bradley Center and with a win will go up 3-0. This is not the series the Bucks thought it would be.

Oddsmakers opened the Bucks as -6-point favorites versus the Celtics, while the game's total opened at 202.5. The line is now Milwaukee -5 and the total has risen to 206.

TV: 9:30 p.m. EST, ESPN, NBCS Boston, FS Wisconsin (Milwaukee).

The Bucks thought it may be good to play the Celtics with Kyrie Irving injured. They were wrong. The Bucks return home in a 2-0 deficit. That is in large part because of the performance of Irving's replacement, Terry Rozier.

Rozier, who is a third-year point guard, has torched Milwaukee's defense. He has scored 23 points in each of the first two games. The kid is averaging 5.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds as well.

He's particularly been source of frustration for Bucks point guard Eric Bledsoe. Rozier is 7 for 17 when matched up against Bledsoe. Bledsoe is only 4 for 13 from the floor with Rozier as his primary defender.

Celtics Keeping Bledsoe Contained in First Playoff Series

Bledsoe has done anything but be effective. He's scored only 21 total points on 9-for-25 shooting. He is only 2-for-6 from beyond the arc.

He's also committed six turnovers. That's been a significant issue so far from the Bucks. They've committed 35 already in the series.

The Celtics have made them pay for those mistakes. Twenty percent of Boston's scoring has come off a Milwaukee turnover. The Celtics hold only a two-rebound advantage over the Bucks. They have racked up 20 offensive rebounds which they've converted for 42 points.

Jabari Parker has yet to show up either. He didn't appear in a game this season until Feb. 2. He was rehabbing from a torn ACL. Parker finished the regular season strong, averaging 19.5 points in 31.8 minutes over the final six games. He's played only 25 minutes in the series. Only scoring two points on 1-of-7 shooting.
