The Finals -- Warriors Look to Close out the Cavs

The Finals

Can the Cavs Reach Deep in Game 4 of The Finals?

The Finals of the NBA Season are in full swing and Golden State is in sweet position. They aim to finish off a four-game sweep of Cleveland when they visit on Friday. Golden State is striving to win its third title in four seasons.

The Warriors can become the first team to sweep the best-of-7 finals since 2007. The San Antonio Spurs beat the Cavaliers that season. The Cavaliers are the 14th team to fall behind 0-3 in the NBA Finals. The other 13 lost the series.

Golden State is the only team in NBA history to lead consecutive NBA Finals 3-0. It was against the Cleveland Cavaliers both times.

Oddsmakers opened the Warriors as -5.5-point favorites versus the Cavaliers, while the game's total opened at 215.5. The line is now 4.5 and the total has settled at 216. Tipoff is set for 9 pm EST on ABC.

Kevin Durant Took Over Game 3 in The Finals

The Warriors rode Kevin Durant's 43-point outing to Wednesday's 110-102. Don't expect them to let their foot off the gas-pedal either.

Durant was very solid through the first two Finals games. Boy did he jockey himself to the front of the pack to win Finals MVP again. It would be for the second consecutive season if he does. In Game 3 he scored his playoff-career-high 43 points

Durant is averaging 31.7 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 6.7 assists in the series. His numbers are a little behind those of LeBron James. James is averaging 37.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, 10.7 assists. Durant has the better team, and it is not even close.

Stephen Curry set an NBA record with nine 3s in Game 2. He then shot 1 of 10 from 3 in Game 3. The Warriors still beat the Cavs for the 10th time in the last 11 games. That does count the regular season.

The Warriors are looking for their third title in four years. All of them have come against Cleveland. It would be their sixth title overall. That would tie them for third all time.

Don't Expect the Cavs to Lie Down in The Finals

No team has ever come back from an 0-3 deficit in the NBA playoffs. Team down 0-3 are a cool 0-131 for those series. The Cavs are going to be a tough out. They're 7-2 in elimination games since 2015. Cleveland has successfully faced down elimination three times already this season.

Kevin Love has had some very solid games. He has had at least 20 points and 10 boards in all three games so far. That is giving James at least one player producing, besides himself, against the Warriors.

The Cavs blew a 13-point lead in Game 3. Their disastrous final 36 seconds in regulation of Game 1 took away a win. The series would look a lot different than it does right now if they had made a few plays.

Kyle Korver is averaging 1.3 points on 1-of-10 shooting in the series.

Vegas Pro Insiders Daily Free Picks

Free Picks and Predictions on Line Moves for 6/8 -10/18

By Doug Upstone of Vegas Pro Insiders Daily

Congrats to Washington for winning the Stanley Cup. This leaves us with one less sport for line moves. That's OK because we still have plenty of them for this weekend including series wagering.

Take a minute to review all the betting trends, our free picks and predictions (211-170-3 run, 21-12-1 of late) to see what we are thinking today. See you back here next week.

NBA – (507) GOLDEN STATE at (508) CLEVELAND  9:05 ET  ABC

Cleveland's had their great chances to knock off Golden State and failed both times. They were sent out as a +5.5 point underdog and have come back to +4.5. While some will think the Cavaliers pride will prevent them from being swept, don't count on it. The Warriors lost in this same spot one year ago 137-116 to Cleveland.

I think the team's pride and determination to win on their opponent's floor will carry them. The Splash Brothers could not shoot any worse than what they did in Game 3 and the Warriors wrap up their third title in three years.

Betting Trend - 60% backing Golden State

Doug's VPID Take - Golden State covers

MLB – (957) ST. LOUIS at (958) CINCINNATI  7:10 ET  FSMW, FSOH

With the Cardinals having dropped a home series to a miserable Miami club and Luke Weaver (3-5, 4.41 ERA) more inconsistent than expected, St. Louis has slid from -155 to -135 at Cincinnati. The Reds salvaged one game against Colorado yesterday. Having Matt Harvey (1-4, 5.79) take the ball is not necessarily a plus.

Let's back the Redbirds who are 8-0 after scoring four runs or less in three straight games this season.

Betting Trend - 77% backing St. Louis

Doug's VPID Take - Lean St. Louis

MLB – (979) N.Y. YANKEES  at (980) N.Y. METS  7:10 ET  YES, SNY

The Subway Series will feature Jacob deGrom (4-0, 1.49) against Masahiro Tanaka (7-2, 4.79 ERA) in the opener. Baseball bettors are forecasting a scarcity of runs and lowered the total from 7.5 to 7.

Tanaka has respectable 3.80 ERA in three starts at Citi Field. He faces a Mets lineup that is averaging 1.6 RPG in their last seven contests. deGrom leads the NL in ERA and has surrendered one run at home in 14 innings versus his team's city rivals.

I'll agree, with the Metropolitans 7-0 UNDER after a game with a combined score of three runs or less this season.

Betting Trend - 80% backing Over

Doug's VPID Take - Lean Under

Golden Knights are at Brink in Game 5 of Stanley Cup Finals

Golden Knights are at Brink in Game 5 of Stanley Cup FinalsThe Vegas Golden Knights were on a run for the ages at the outset of the Stanley Cup Finals. However, four games into the series, the NHL’s Cinderella team is now faced with elimination. For the first time in the playoffs, the Golden Knights are at Brink in Game 5 of the Finals. Will they rebound or succumb to the powers of Ovi and the Capitals?

It seems as though all of Vegas’ magic has dried up. Through four games against the Washington Capitals, the Golden Knights haven’t had a bit of puck luck.

They’ve hit countless posts, missed wide open goals and the likely playoff MVP, Marc-Andre Fleury has looked pedestrian at best. But this is a team that has surprised the hockey world all season; maybe this is another surprise in the making.

The Capitals would disagree. They’ve been every bit the complete team that the hockey world has been waiting for. Team Captain, Alex Ovechkin, has never looked better. He’s played a defensively-responsible game all series, while continuing to score clutch goals. In addition, Ovechking leads the team in goals with 14 to go along with 12 assists.

With Ovi and Caps’ goaltender, Braden Holtby, at the top of their games, it appears as though Washington has solved the mystery of the Vegas Golden Knights. Game 5 is this Thursday at 8 PM ET and Lord Stanley’s Cup will be in attendance.

NHL Odds: Kuznetsov Carries the Caps

After suffering an apparent arm injury that resulted in Evgeny Kuznetsov leaving Game 2, the alarm bells rang in Washington. But the team’s leading point producer returned for Game 3 and showed everyone he was just fine, scoring a goal and an assist. The first line center has elevated his game at the most important time of the year and has his club one win away from the Cup.

The Golden Knights haven’t been able to respond to the play of Capitals’ first line. The once lethal combination of Jonathan Marchessault, Reilly Smith and William Karlsson have been invisible against the Caps. If Vegas has any hope of extending this series, that trio will need to come to play on Thursday.

Furthermore, according to how to be a bookie for dummies, star players are making the difference in the Stanley Cup Final. Will the Capitals close out the series and end the Golden Knights’ magical run? Let’s find out tonight!

Looking to bet on Sports? Then take a look at our list of the Best Sportsbook

NHL Odds - Capitals are One Win from the Cup

Capitals are One Win from the CupThe Washington Capitals have yet to win the Stanley Cup since joining the NHL in 1974. However, this might all change when they visit the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 5 of the Cup Final. Furthermore, the game is set to start at 8 PM ET and can be seen on NBC. The Capitals take a 3-1 lead into T-Mobile Arena after beating Vegas 6-2 Monday night as –120 home favorites. Tonight, the Capitals are One Win from the Cup and are a clear favorite with the bookies.

The Golden Knights have come a long way after starting the year as +20,000 outsiders on the Stanley Cup futures. In addition, the Golden Knights were –130 favorites to beat Washington in this series. Initially, they appeared well on their way after taking Game 1but the Caps have been the better team ever since.
Braden Holtby has allowed just five goals during this three-game winning streak, after getting shelled 6-4 in the opener.

Get your NHL odds at BetPhoenix.ag today.

Marc-Andre Fleury hasn’t necessarily fallen apart for Vegas, who gave up three power play goals in Monday’s loss. However, Fleury isn’t playing at nearly the same high level he was earlier in the postseason. He was the –135 favorite to win the Conn Smythe Trophy before Game 1, but has seen his playoff save percentage plummet from .947 during the first three rounds to .845 against the Capitals.

NHL Odds: Capitals Put Vegas on the Brink

We knew someone was going to win the Stanley Cup for the first time. Will that someone be the Washington Capitals? They’ll take a 3-1 series lead into Thursday’s Game 5 of the 2018 Stanley Cup Final versus the Vegas Golden Knights; NBC’s broadcast from T-Mobile Arena begins at 8 PM ET.

Bet on hockey at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

The Capitals put Vegas on the brink of elimination Monday night with a convincing 6-2 victory in Game 4, cashing in as –120 home favorites. Marc-Andre Fleury has a .845 save percentage over these past four games after opening the Final as the –135 Conn Smythe favorite.

NBA Finals -- Will the Warriors Sweep? Will the Cavs Recover?

The 2018 NBA Finals

Which One is Going to Happen in the NBA Finals?

The Cleveland Cavaliers are done in the NBA Finals. Stick a fork in this series it’s cooked! No they cannot recover!!!

Can they win game four is the question? Right now it looks like they can’t, but don’t count those chickens before they hatch. With LeBron James playing anything is possible. He is a great player on the planet. That goes without saying. The fact of the matter is he has been outsmarted in this series.

In the NBA brute strength does not always win and LeBron is living proof of this. He is probably the strongest and the toughest guy in the NBA. He never gets hurt and he can a take a hit from anybody. He does take his hits, he takes a beating.

Basketball Betting - Knowing How to Bet First halves vs. Second Halves NBA

LeBron needs to go to a different team. What James did for the Cavaliers was save them, pointblank end of story. He saved the franchise. This team was going nowhere and he came back home. He could have gone anywhere when his deal was up in Miami but he chose to come home. He brought home the hardware.

Now it’s time to think of a third team in his illustrious career. There are a few teams that are out of the question. One may be the Houston Rockets. LeBron is a “me” guy meaning that he has to be the man. There is only one man in Houston and everyone knows that it’s James Harden. These two could simply not coexist.

With CP3 maybe asking for a MAX deal to stay who knows?

The NBA Finals are under way and the Warriors once again look as if they are unstoppable

Although the Cav’s are the headline here, the real story is Kevin Durant. What this guy did to the Cavaliers was an epic performance ripped from the pages of Michael Jordan’s playbook. 43 points, 13 rebounds and a monster three pointer to take a four point lead. LeBron answered with a three of his own but it wasn’t enough.

The Cavaliers have a problem and a very big problem. You know it’s a problem for anyone when they hold Stephen Curry to 11 and Thompson to 10 but still lose the game. It’s the opposite of game one when LeBron scored 51 respectively and still lost.  What a debacle!

The early line for Friday’s matchup sets the Warriors as a -5.5 point favorite. The online bookies will vary from 5 -6. Be sure to check your favorite bookmaker for the latest odds, scores and stats. This series is doomed.

The Cav’s act as if they have lost their heart. Kevin Love had another good game, but he isn’t enough. He will never be a game changer. He’s a great player but not a superstar. LeBron needs a superstar but can he coexist with one.

We talked about Harden and everyone will agree that LeBron and Harden would have a hard time playing together. The two are alpha males and it simply wouldn’t work.

Sports Betting - June’s Betting Board at Your Favorite Online Sportsbook

Here is the problem in game four. Nobody can stop Durant and when they slow him then Steph steps up or Thompson or Green. The Warriors not only have superstars of the game, they have a superstar mentality that says “we won’t be beat”.

Betting on this game will be a challenge. It would be smart move to stay away from the spread. LeBron will be looking for any edge that he can get and once again we say it. He will be tough to beat in Cleveland in game four. Is he beatable in game four? Absolutely he is.

The Warriors have proven this and they need to prove nothing more. Enjoy this one, it’s most likely LeBron’s last stand as a Cleveland Cavalier

NBA Finals Game 3 Free Pick- Golden State at Cleveland

The 2018 NBA Finals

Golden State Looks to Take Control of The NBA Finals

The Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers resume this season’s NBA Finals tonight. The best-of-seven series is shifting to Quicken Loans Arena for Game 3. VietBet has listed Golden State as a 4-point road favorite with the total set at 216.5 for this 9 p.m. (ET) tip on ABC.

Golden State is just two more wins away from its third world title in four years. Each time they have taken on the Cavaliers. The Warriors took Game 1 in overtime 124-114 as 12.5-point favorites at home. The Warriors asserted their dominance over Cleveland with Sunday’s 122-103 victory in Game 2.

They closed as 11.5-point favorites at home on VietBets betting line. The total has gone OVER in the first two games of this series after staying UNDER in their previous five games.

Warriors Shooting is Taking Control

Golden State is an even 4-4 both straight-up and against the spread on the road in this year’s playoffs. If they continue to shoot the ball like in did on Sunday, it will not matter where this next game is played.

Stephen Curry went 9-for-17 from three-point range as part of his game-high 33 points and the Warriors as a team shot 57.3 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from beyond the arc.

The Cavaliers went down 2-1 to Indiana in the opening round. They were down 2-0 to Boston in the Eastern Conference Finals before winning both of those series in seven games.

The problem for Cleveland is that it is not facing the Pacers or Celtics this time around. Cleveland has gone a solid 8-1 SU at Quicken Loans Arena this postseason. They have a 4-5 record ATS. The total has gone OVER in three of its last four home games.

Lebron Will Have to Take Control

LeBron James scored 51 points in Game 1 and his team still lost. He added a team-high 29 points in Game 2 and the margin of defeat grew to 19 points. As great as a player that James has proven to be this entire postseason, his team does not have enough talent to hang with the defending champions.

Right now, the Cavaliers need to use their home court to its fullest advantage to cut this series lead in half.

I do not see this series going past five games, but I will bet that the lone Cavaliers’ victory is in Game 3 on Wednesday night.

SportsBettingOnline.ag Sportsbook Review

Even though the SportsBettingOnline.ag website does not look modern, don’t be fool because their betting platform certainly is. In addition, unlike other books that give you bonuses with high rollovers, they give you 10% bonus with no rollover. This is ideal for recreational bettors as they don’t have to worry about bonus rollovers before they take a payout.

SportsBettingOnline.ag has a decent betting platform for PC’s but we were mostly impressed with their mobile platform. The betting interaction is clean and easy to use which is perfect for novice players.  In addition, their live betting platform is ok but we would have liked to see more betting options.

Like any other sportsbook, they also offer an online casino which did not impress us.  Yes, it performed adequately but the games are old and outdated.  However, if you want to play a casino game to  pass the time then we can think of worst options.

After playing with them for several years, we can say with confidence that they have decent sports betting odds. In terms of payouts, we have requested dozens of payouts from SportsBettingOnline.ag and have always received our money on time.

Our Recommendation

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label="Recommendation content" _builder_version="3.5.1"]

Even though SportsBettingOnline.ag has received some bad pres recently because of payout issues, we still consider them a solid sportsbook.  This is because we actually dug into these allegations and found that these complaints were not the entire story.

In conclusion, they may not have the same reputation as our best sportsbooks but they are reliable and financially stable.

Golden Knights vs. Capitals Stanley Cup Finals

Vegas Golden Knights

Golden Knights Split First Two Games at Home

The Washington Capitals did their job in Las Vegas, Nevada. They got the split and go back to Washington with home ice advantage. How much does it mean? Probably very little. The Golden Knights have been solid on the road all year long and the Capitals have not been very good. The odds on game three as the consensus says now is Vegas +115 and Washington -135.

This shows very little confidence in the home team. Take it or leave it and maybe the number is simply wrong and it’s a gift for all of the Capitals faithful. Look, the Capitals are a great team or they wouldn’t be in this position. tThey beat some very stiff competition to get to the Finals and the Tampa Bay Lightning were the best team all season long.

This may or may not mean anything on paper but what it means on the ice is the Capitals have heart and they find a way.

Hockey Betting – There is Money to be made Betting Hockey Periods and Props

What the Capitals did to the lightning is proof enough to believe in their ability to win this series. Washington is not afraid of the upstart Golden Knights, they have respect and that’s what a wise team does, they respect their opponent and they go after their opponent.

Just the way they did in game two. The Capitals let Vegas off the hook in game one with a couple of very lazy goals, you can bet on not seeing that again for the rest of the series.

Branden Holtby’s sprawling stick save with two minutes to go in the third period just may have saved the series for the Capitals but that’s the way the cookie crumbles in professional sports. How many folks needed that goal for the over?

After a barnburner on Monday night one might think that game two would have been the same, however, game two followed the course of normal. After a lights out scoring fest, game two was destined to come down to earth and it did with a 3-2 final.

Find an Online Bookmaker for The NHL Stanley Cup Finals

Betting totals for the entire game is a coin flip! Let’s stop being handicappers for a moment and be honest, let’s get real… betting the game total is a coin flip and we are not afraid to say it. You should get handicapping advice. We absolutely believe in it and by all means find a great game advising site to help you make a great pick but the totasl at this stage of the game are risky.

Who can tell you that the under was a good bet? Nobody. Sure the under won but nobody expected it.

2018 Stanley Cup Odds - Capitals vs. Golden Knights

The bookies set the live lines and odds in a way to make you second guess yourself. What you must do is find ways around the bookie, beat them at their own game. Take period betting. This is a great way to bet. It’s fun and you keep yourself in the game for three periods. Be sure to find a great online bookie that offers all three periods.

1Vice - Top 5 Benefits of Betting at an Online Sportsbook

This NHL Stanley Cup Finals is just heating up and it will get even better. The Vegas Golden Knights have come a very long way in a short period of time in what has been a miracle of a season.

The Capitals are a bunch off seasoned veterans,. They are blue collar, hardworking NHL players that bring it every step of the way. Count on them to not lay down at home. Vegas must get the home ice advantage back.
