NHL Odds: Habs Bring Top Profit to Columbus

Betting on Blue Jackets Hockey

It’s been over 20 years since the Montreal Canadiens last won the
Stanley Cup. But for now, the Canadiens (26-12-2-1) are flying high –
they’re the most profitable team in the NHL when it comes to the puck
line at 25-16 ATS, raking in 14.17 betting units. Next up for the Habs
is Wednesday night’s road game against the Columbus Blue Jackets
(18-19-2-1), who are near the bottom of the money pile at 21-19 ATS and
10.95 units in the red. Game time is 7:00 PM ET.

Montreal skates into Cowtown having lost back-to-back games. It’s been
something of a rollercoaster ride this year, but there have been more
ups than downs. The Habs are third in the league at 2.29 goals allowed
per game. Carey Price is fourth in save percentage at .928, which is
good because Montreal allows 30.5 shots per game. That’s No. 23 out of
the 30 teams.

The Jackets, also in a two-game mini-slump, are even looser at 33.4
shots allowed per game (No. 27 overall). But with Sergei Bobrovsky (.914
SV%) as their No. 1 goalie, they’re giving up 3.25 goals per game. Only
four teams have been more porous this year.

NHL Odds Shift to Maple Leafs as Classic NHL Rivalry Resumes

Hockey fans will watch one of the game?s most traditional rivalries resume this weekend as the Toronto Maple Leafs play host to the Montreal Canadiens in an Original Six clash. After taking a loss their last time out, can the Buds push back up the Northeast standings?

NHL odds and props at Bovada.

Don't have an account? Join now.

Though recent history between the two clubs has had the Canadiens in the driver's seat the past few seasons, the Maple Leafs are looking to snap a growing playoff drought this spring. Support them today with Bovada's NHL odds.

Heading in to the Saturday night clash, the Leafs have 25/1 odds of winning the Stanley Cup. A mark considerably higher than Montreal?s 75/1. Is this the year that they finally pay off on the NHL betting line?

Sitting toward the bottom of the Eastern Conference playoff pack, the Maple Leafs will need to string together continued success as the regular season rolls into February. Having not qualified for a postseason berth since 2004, critics aren't holding their breath.

Do NHL odds makers see something unique in the franchise? Do you? Weigh in on the Toronto Maple Leafs with Bovada?s Stanley Cup futures today.

NHL Odds: Road-Weary Capitals Face New-Look Canadiens

The Eastern Conference standings are slowly starting to broaden, and teams like the Washington Capitals and Montreal Canadiens may find themselves on the outside looking in if they don?t start putting up some extended winning streaks.

Get your NHL Stanley Cup futures at Bovada.

The two forlorn franchises will meet for the first of four times this season on Wednesday night in Montreal, where the newest Canadien, Rene Bourque, will face the Capitals for the first time since giving Nicklas Backstrom a concussion on Jan. 3. Vigilante justice may be in order.

The Canadiens? woes have been well documented. From the hiring of Randy Cunneyworth to the abysmal power play to the Mike Cammalleri trade last week, the team is ripe for the pickings right now.

Meanwhile, the Capitals are in the middle of a 10 games in 18 days stretch leading up to the All-Star break, so they may not be at full strength for the game.

They've had a decent run as of late, but hardly anything that will guarantee they play beyond mid-April. Now is the time for Alex Ovechkin to break out and earn the All-Star nod he garnered.

Think you know how it will go down? Weigh in at Bovada now.
