Thunder Going for 7th Straight Against Celtics

As one of two featured matchups on TNT this Tuesday night, the Oklahoma City Thunder will look to extend its current winning streak at the expense of the Boston Celtics.

BetAnySports opened the Thunder as two-point road favorites with the total set at 212. Game time from TD Garden is set for 8 p.m. (ET). The line is now OKC -4.5-points and the total is down to 209.

The Thunder’s current straight-up winning streak reach six games with Sunday’s 132-125 victory against Toronto. They were listed as six-point road underdogs. They have gone 5-1 against the spread during this winning streak.

The total has gone OVER BetAnySports’ closing line in their last three games. Oklahoma City has won three of its last four road games both SU and ATS to improve to an even 18-18 SU (15-21 ATS) on the year.

Russell Westbrook ended Sunday’s game with yet another triple-double. He posted 37 points, 13 rebounds and 14 assists. He leads the team in all three categories (25.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, 10.2 assists) on the year.

All five Oklahoma City starters scored in double figures against Toronto. The Thunder shot 55.7 percent from the field while connecting on 10 of their 21 shots from three-point range. They have averaged 116.2 points over their last six games.

Celtics Have Been Reeling Lately

Boston slipped five games off the pace in the East with Sunday’s 108-89 loss to New Orleans. Toronto has the top spot in the Eastern Conference. This was its third SU loss in its last four games (2-2 ATS).

Boston has an overall record of 47-23. The total has stayed UNDER BetAnySports’ closing line in three of the four games. The Celtics are 2-5 SU and 3-4 ATS in their last seven games played at home.

Kyrie Irving has missed his last three starts with a sore knee. He remains questionable for Tuesday night. Jaylen Brown continues to miss time due to a concussion.

In the absence of the Celtics’ top two scorers, Jayson Tatum scored a team-high 23 points on Sunday. Marcus Morris added 17 points to the losing cause. Boston is averaging 104.3 points per game with Irving set as the team’s leading scorer with 24.4 points.

Even if the Celtics get Irving back for Tuesday night, I am sticking with the hot hand both SU and ATS with a bet on the Thunder.
