The UCLA Bruins Look to Upset 10th Ranked Washington Huskies

The UCLA Bruins try to win their first game of the season when they host the No. 10 Washington Huskies.

Washington Huskies

Washington has won four straight games and they have plenty of confidence. The Huskies had a easy 35-7 home win against No. 20 BYU last Saturday. Jake Browning completed 23 of 25 passes for 277 yards and one touchdown in the victory.

Browning added four yards and a touchdown on the ground. Salvon Ahmed and Myles Gaskin combined for 167 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries. Aaron Fuller had eight receptions for 107 yards.

The Huskies are averaging 273.4 passing yards (41st in the nation) and 165.4 rushing yards (81st). Washington ranks 75th with 28.8 points per game and 1st with 11.3 points against.

Jake Browning has passed for 1243 yards, eight touchdowns and four interceptions. Myles Gaskin has 438 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 97 carries. Aaron Fuller has 30 receptions for 474 yards and one touchdown.

UCLA Bruins

UCLA is 0-4 after a tough 38-16 road loss against Colorado last Friday. Joshua Kelley ran for 124 yards on 12 carries. Dorian Thompson-Robinson completed 17 of 35 passes for 138 yards and a touchdown.

Defense was the killer as the Bruins couldn't stop the run.They allowed the Buffaloes finish with 209 yards and four touchdowns on 48 carries. Colorado had 477 total yards and 26 first downs and stopping Washington's talented offense will be complicated. 

The Bruins are averaging 176.3 passing yards (109th in the nation) and 135.8 rushing yards (102nd). UCLA ranks 126th with 17.0 points per game and 113th with 37.8 points against.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson has passed for 660 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. Kazmeir Allen has 173 rushing yards and one touchdowns on 23 carries. Theo Howard has 14 receptions for 204 yards and one touchdown.

UCLA is averaging just 17.0 points while allowing 37.8 points. They haven't scored more than 21 points in a game this season. Quarterback Wilton Speight could return for UCLA. It shouldn't matter as Washington has an elite defense.

I don't like laying so many points on the road, but this game is a exception. Jake Browning and Myles Gaskin can lead them to an easy win against a struggling UCLA defense.

The favorite is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings between these two teams and this trend won't change.
