The Colts look to get in the win column as they host the Jets on Monday Night Football on ESPN - Handicappers Hideaway
The Colts look to get in the win column as they host the Jets on Monday Night Football on ESPN
The fans at Lucas Oil Stadium will be treated to a game between the
New York Jets and the Indianapolis Colts when they take their seats on
Monday.
Oddsmakers currently have the Colts listed as 7-point favorites versus the Jets, while the game’s total is sitting at 45½.
Indianapolis lost its last outing, a 27-14 result against the Bills
on September 13. The Colts failed to cover in that game as a -1-point
favorite, while the 41 combined points took the game UNDER the total.
New York was a 31-10 winner in its last match at home against the
Browns. They covered the -3.5-point spread as favorites, while the total
score of 41 sent OVER bettors to the payout window.
New York:
Team record: 1-0 SU,1-0 ATS
NY Jets is 5-1 ATS in its last 6 games
NY Jets is 4-12 SU in its last 16 games
The total has gone UNDER in 6 of NY Jets’s last 9 games

NFL Odds: Patriots and Colts Clash in AFC Rivalry
The rivalry will go down as one of the greatest of this generation,
but when the New England Patriots host the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC
Championship this Sunday, there will be little time for nostalgia.
These days Peyton Manning is out and Andrew Luck is in, but that doesn’t
help the 7-point underdogs in their matchup against New England.

With an 11-5 regular season and a 10-5-1 record ATS, Indianapolis is a
respectable team ready to handle lofty expectations. The Patriots
started slowly, but grew dominant in the last three quarters of the
regular season.
Tom Brady may have only thrown 257 yards per game and 33 touchdowns in
2014 (compared to Luck’s 298 yards per game and 40 touchdowns), but his
367 yards thrown against Baltimore last weekend serve as a testament to
just how dangerous this squad can be.In addition to the explosive
passing game, the Patriots have one of the league’s most impressive rush
defenses.
Whether the AFC clash comes down to a battle of quarterbacks or a
defensive battle, it will be a match to remember. Currently oddsmakers
favor New England with a seven point spread, which makes the Colts all
the more intriguing.

NFL Odds: Peyton Manning Front and Center as Broncos Face Colts in Divisional Round
The Denver Broncos have been an offensive juggernaut for as long as
they’ve had Peyton Manning under center, but they still haven’t gotten a
Super Bowl title. This Sunday, the squad will get a chance to prove
that they’re more than regular season wonders as they go up against the
Indianapolis Colts. The sportsbook lists Denver as the 7-point favorite
against Manning’s former team. The total is 54 as we go to press.
Bet on football at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.
While Manning has donned the orange for three years now, fans will
always think about his 14 year-stint with the Colts. That, and the
symbolic rivalry between himself and Andrew Luck, will make the clash
one of the most anticipated of the divisional round weekend.
The Broncos are 6/1 to win the Super Bowl, and Indianapolis is 16/1. The
Colts’ lofty potential payout is as intriguing as their young roster.
Though the Broncos finished with a 12-4 record, they were 8-8 ATS this
season. The much-lauded team has struggled to meet expectations. The
Colts, on the other hand, were 11-5 on the year and 10-5-1 ATS,
suggesting they could be ready for whatever gets thrown at them. Game
time is Sunday at 4:40 PM ET.

BetAnySports’ NFL Pick of the Week- Week 6: Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans – Thursday, Oct. 9
Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans – Thursday, Oct. 9
BAS’ current line: Colts -2 1/2 and the total is sitting at 46
Thursday Night Football in Week 6 of the NFL season will feature a
battle for the top spot in the AFC South between the Indianapolis Colts
and the Houston Texans. Both teams come in with straight-up 3-2 records
and BetAnySports has opened the Colts as slight 2.5-point road favorites
for this game. The total has been set at 46.
The Colts have overcome a slow 0-2 start with three-straight
victories by a combined score of 105-47, but they had to work for last
Sunday’s win in a 20-13 grinder against Baltimore as 2.5-point favorites
at home. The total stayed UNDER the 49.5-point closing line on BetAnySports
NFL betting odds after going OVER in their first four games.
Indianapolis is now a profitable 4-1 against the spread this season.
The one constant with this team regardless of the final score on the
board has been third-year quarterback Andrew Luck’s ability to move the
ball down the field through the air and throw touchdowns. He has already
passed for 1,617 yards and 14 touchdowns and the Colts’ offense as a
whole is ranked second in the NFL in both yards (439.6) and points
(31.2) per game.
The Texans jumped out of the gate with three victories both SU and
ATS in their first four outings to eclipse last season’s two-game win
total, but they are coming off a tough 20-17 overtime loss to Dallas as
five-point road underdogs in Week 5. They are also 4-1 ATS in their
first five games and the total has stayed UNDER in three of those
contests.
If Houston is going to climb back on top of the division after last
season’s hard fall it will be behind a defense that is ranked fourth in
the NFL in points allowed. This unit is giving-up an average of 17.4
points a game overall and just 11.5 points at home this season. JJ Watt
has been a force so far and he was recently named the NFL Defensive
Player of the Month in September.
The Colts are 20-4 SU in their last 24 games against Houston, but
they have covered in just two of their last eight road games against
their division rivals. The total in this matchup has gone OVER in seven
of the last nine meetings in Houston. I am sticking with the home team
once again in this AFC South showdown as the Texans cover with the
2.5-points on BetAnySports’ current betting odds.

MNF Preview: Philadelphia Eagles (1-0) vs. Indianapolis Colts (0-1)
The Philadelphia Eagles and the Indianapolis Colts will both be
trying to pick up a win on Monday when they battle at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Oddsmakers currently have the Colts listed as 3-point favorites versus the Eagles, while the game’s total is sitting at 54.
The Colts were a 31-24 loser in their most recent outing on the road
against the Broncos. They covered the +8.5-point spread as underdogs,
while the total score (55) made winners of OVER bettors.
Last time out for Philadelphia, they were a 34-17 winner as they
battled the Jaguars at home. The Eagles covered in the match as a
-10-point favorite, while 51 combined points moved the game OVER for
totals bettors.
Philadelphia:
Team record: 1-0 SU,1-0 ATS
Philadelphia is 8-2 SU in its last 10 games
The total has gone OVER in 4 of Philadelphia’s last 6 games
