NCAA Football Odds: Everything You Need to Know About the Wisconsin and Alabama Match Up - Handicappers Hideaway

Wiscons Vs. Alabama College Football match up

NCAA Football Odds: Everything You Need to Know About the Wisconsin and Alabama Match Up

It’s a long road from here to the National Championship, and it
starts off with a bang for the Alabama Crimson Tide. They’ve got a
suitably tough challenge in Saturday’s season opener (8:00 PM ET, ABC)
against the Wisconsin Badgers, and they’ll be playing on neutral ground
at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Bet on college football at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

Alabama goes into the new season as the No. 3-ranked team in the
polls. They’re also tied with TCU as the +700 second-favorites to win
the program’s fourth title since Nick Saban took over in 2007. The
Badgers are ranked No. 20, but they’re championship outsiders at +10000
after Paul Chryst took over from Gary Andersen (now with Oregon State)
as head coach.

Chryst was Wisconsin’s offensive co-ordinator before leading
Pittsburgh to a 19-19 SU and 17-17-2 ATS record over the past three
seasons. He inherits a team that’s on the verge of big things despite
the loss of running back Melvin Gordon to the NFL, but it’ll be a tough
match on Saturday against the Tide. The primary concern for Alabama is
at quarterback, where it’s uncertain at press time whether Jake Coker,
Cooper Bateman or Alec Morris will get the starting assignment. Saban
says he’s happy with all three.

College Basketball Odds: Kentucky-Wisconsin at Final Four - Handicappers Hideaway

College Basketball Odds: Kentucky-Wisconsin at Final Four

It almost didn’t happen, but the Kentucky Wildcats are in the Final
Four. They edged past the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (+11) 68-66 to run
their undefeated record to 38-0 (19-17-2 ATS). But the Wildcats are only
1-3 ATS at the Big Dance, and this Saturday, they’re giving five
points to the Wisconsin Badgers (35-3 SU, 20-17-1 ATS) as we go to
press.

Bet on college basketball at Bovada and get a 50% welcome bonus.

It’s difficult to find any betting value on any undefeated team. This
spot is even tougher for chalkeaters; Wisconsin has the top-ranked
offense in Division I according to Ken Pomeroy’s advanced stats. The
Badgers also employ one of the slowest offenses in college hoops. Fewer
possessions means fewer opportunities for Kentucky to build a big lead
and cover the spread.

If you’re a Kentucky supporter and you can’t bring yourself to fade the
‘Cats, there’s always the under. Kentucky is the best defensive team in
Division I, taking the under to the pay window in three straight games
and 15 of its last 18 non-conference matchups. Slowpoke Wisconsin has
the under at 9-3 over the past dozen games against the SEC. Saturday’s
game (8:49 PM ET, TBS) has a total of 132 at press time.

2014 Final Four Player Prop Bets & Alternate Lines

2014NCAA Tournament

“As expected, 60% of the action so far has come in on the Wildcats -2
vs. Wisconsin but I can’t see us moving that line unless the position
gets really

out of control. UConn and Florida have held pretty steady at -6 with
50/50 money so far, but from a futures perspective UConn remains a huge
winner for

the book while Florida is not such a great result. So there is no
doubt, we will be Huskies and Badgers here at the office come Saturday.”

College Basketball Odds: Streaking Florida Braces for Rematch with UCONN

2014NCAA Tournament

The Florida Gators were the consensus favorite heading into the Big
Dance and have shown nothing that would suggest otherwise over the
course of the first four games of tournament play. On Saturday they’ll
look to continue to follow through on their nation-leading college
basketball odds with a semifinal victory against the Connecticut
Huskies.

Bet on college basketball at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

Riding a 30-game win streak, it’s hard to consider any opponent
worthy of knocking off the Billy Donovan-helmed ball club. In fact, the
last time Florida actually lost a game was back in early December. No
wonder they have -110 odds to win the NCAA Tournament.

But wait a minute, here’s where things get interesting. On December
2, before launching their season-making win streak, the Gators fell to
an unlikely foe: the Connecticut Huskies.

Now with a six-point advantage over UCONN, the Gators will have to
prove that they?re a better team now than they were early in the season.
Florida’s well-balanced offensive core means little if they can’t come
up with an answer for Huskies guard Shabazz Napier.

Napier, let’s not forget, hit the game winning jumper on that fateful December night.

Averaging 18.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game, Napier
is an NBA-bound swingman capable of dominating a basketball game. While
Florida may have established themselves as an overwhelmingly powerful
program capable of swallowing up entire teams, they’re going to have to
show that they can shut down individuals as well — especially those who
are stars in the making.

Don’t forget to bet on the Wisconsin-Kentucky clash to crown the winner of the other side of the bracket.

March Madness: Odds to win the Final Four and the M.O.P

2014 NCAA Tournament

“Kentucky remains a popular pick even at 5-2 and if the Wildcats
were to win it all would be our worst result from a futures perspective,
while UConn or Wisconsin cutting down the nets would be terrific for
the book. I expect our bettors to come in heavy on Kentucky -2 and can
see that line moving a touch if the action comes in as much as I expect.
With Florida -6, I would expect a little more balanced money with the
higher spread.”

College Basketball Money Line Pits Surging Wisconsin Against Ohio State

The Ohio State Buckeyes have been climbing up the polls these past few weeks, but they're not the only Big Ten club making a late-season surge. Though the Bucks have most recently snuck back into the No. 3 spot, they'll face a hungry No. 20 Wisconsin club on the college basketball betting line this Saturday.

Bet college ball props for your chance at a $25 free bet.

Can streaking OSU, riding a four-game win streak including victories over ranked Indiana and Michigan, offset the damage they did last month? Though three losses dropped the Bucks out of the running for the top spot in the nation, they've slowly reinforced their presence in the eyes of NCAA odds makers.

According to Bovada's college basketball betting line, the Buckeyes have 9/2 odds of winning March Madness, a testament to Thad Matta's ability to apply damage control to what was briefly a slumping squad.

But will their weekend in Wisconsin end on a happy note? Though OSU has played strong of late, so too have the Badgers, knocking off consecutive ranked opponents in the Fighting Illini and Hoosiers.

Not only would a victory over the Buckeyes help Wisconsin stay competitive in their conference standings, it could launch them up the polls to boot. Bet on the college basketball rivalry today with Bovada.

College Basketball Odds: Slumping Badgers Face Big Ten Foe Michigan

The Wisconsin Badgers will look to turn their recent fortunes around this Sunday when they hit the road against Big Ten rival Michigan. After dropping back-to-back games within the conference, the No. 19 Badgers could use some much-needed relief.

But just because Wisconsin needs a break doesn't mean they?ll get one, Memphis didn?t get one last November when the Wolverines shocked them in a 73-61 upset. Can the now-No. 13-ranked program continue to rise in the conference?

Although an impressive five different Big Ten clubs qualify as Top-25 members in the ESPN/USA Today polls, the constant jockeying within the conference is what make NCAA basketball odds so popular in the months leading up to March Madness.

Is this the year that a Big Ten bid wins the National Tournament for the first time since Michigan State back in 2000?

In this mid-season matchup, both Wisconsin and Michigan will look to prove that they'll be ready and waiting to represent their league in the Big Dance. It won?t be easy, however, with the likes of Ohio State and Indiana emerging as significant threats as well.

Big Ten Basketball Preview: Michigan State Spartans vs. Wisconsin Badgers

Saturday, October 22, 2011

Odds Board Favors Badgers, but Spartans Ride Momentum Into Week 8

Coming off their biggest win of the year - a season-changing 28-14 victory over rival Michigan - the Michigan State Spartans will have no time to waste when gearing up for a Big Ten tilt with No. 6 Wisconsin.

The Badgers have been the toughest team in the conference this season, and if the Spartans want to capitalize on the momentum they gained from their in-state rivalry, they'll have to find an answer for top quarterback Russell Wilson.

Wilson's first year on campus has been a major reason why the Badgers have vaulted up the college football odds board. Though he won't have the masses at Camp Randall Stadium backing him on the road, he will have the NCAA futures.

In Lansing, sights are less set on winning the national title and more on salvaging a season that looked at one point in jeopardy. A Week 3 loss to Notre Dame took the wind out the club?s sails but they've managed to win ball games when its mattered most.

If MSU manages to survive this weekend against Wisconsin they'll face No. 13 Nebraska before matching up against the currently-winless Minnesota Gophers.

Nobody ever said it would be easy on the college football betting lines, but both Wisconsin and Michigan State have impressed at times over the course of the season. Now given the opportunity, will the underdog Spartans give the popular Badgers a run for their money?
