The DraftFury Difference


Pick’Em Contests


According to a study conducted by the FSTA, there are 56.8 million
people in North America who play fantasy sports, yet only a small
percentage of those people currently play DFS. One likely cause of this
low conversion rate is the common misconception that DFS is too

traditional salary cap game format. DraftFury addresses this concern

five to nine athletes in each group. To form a lineup, a player simply

Fury Arena


New player acquisition is important to the DFS industry, but the
retention of existing players is equally important. One widespread
complaint amongst existing DFS players involves the inability to play
head-to-head matches against non-professional players. The typical
scenario on other sites is: a casual DFS player creates several
head-to-head contests, but all contests are instantly taken by
high-volume DFS professionals.


To combat this problem, DraftFury forged Fury Arena, a battlefield where players enter head-to-head contests anonymously,
and are then paired up by DraftFury’s skill-based match generator. To
participate in Fury Arena, competitors simply select their desired head-
to-head contest format (either Pick’Em or traditional salary cap) and
entry fee, and then create their lineup. The number of entries in Fury
Arena are shown, but the identities of the entrants are anonymous. When
the contests begin, DraftFury’s proprietary algorithm uses a multitude
of factors in the entrants’ histories to match them with opponents of
similar skill level. Newcomers and recreational players will be matched
with each other, while experienced and professional players will be
matched with each other (or won’t be matched at all).

No Scripting
