The Indiana Pacers head back on the road this Tuesday night to the Air
Canada Centre for Game 5 of their best-of-seven opening round playoff
series against the Toronto Raptors. The series is tied at two games
apiece and BetAnySports
has opened the Raptors as seven-point home favorites with the total set
at 192. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. and the game will be broadcast
nationally on TNT.

The Pacers have won the first and last game in this series as underdogs
in all four contests. They covered as eight-point underdogs in a huge
100-90 road win in Game 1 and this past Saturday they evened this series
up with a solid 100-83 victory as one-point underdogs at home. The
total has stayed UNDER in all four games and it has now stayed UNDER
BetAnySports’ closing line in Indiana’s last six outings.

The trio of George Hill, Ian Mahinmi and Paul George were largely
responsible for the crucial win in Game 4. Hill and Mahinmi each scored
22 points and George added 19 points to the winning cause. George has
been the team’s leading scorer in this series with 26.3 points per game
with Indiana averaging 93 PPG as a team. The Pacers are shooting 42.7
percent from the field and 34.2 percent from three-point range.

Before Saturday’s loss it appeared that Toronto was going to take
control of this series as the No. 2 seed in the East. After bouncing
back from the loss in the opener with a 98-87 win in Game 2 as
eight-point home favorites, the Raptors throttled Indiana 101-85 as
one-point road favorites in Game 3. The total has stayed UNDER in nine
of their last 12 games.

As goes the backcourt of Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan goes Toronto. In
Game 3, they each scored 21 points while adding six rebounds and 11
assists. In this past Saturday’s loss, they combined for 20 points while
going a collective 8-for-27 from the floor. Lowry leads the team in
scoring in this series with 15.5 PPG, but he is shooting 32.2 percent
from the field. DeRozan was the Raptors’ leading scorer in the regular
season (23.5 points), but this average has plummeted to just 13.3 points
over the course of his last four games.

Indiana has been able to keep things interesting as a heavy series
underdog, but I think that this is about to change starting Tuesday
night. Look for Toronto to assert itself as the clear favorite with a SU
win that covers BetAnySports’ seven-point betting spread.

MLB Odds: King Felix Day at Angel Stadium - Handicappers Hideaway

It's already been a bit of a struggle for both the Los Angeles Angels
(6-9, –3.54 betting units) and the Seattle Mariners (6-8, –3.84 units).
One of these teams will inch closer to .500 when they meet Friday night
in Anaheim. First pitch is at 10:05 PM ET on Fox Sports West. Oddsmakers
have King Felix and the Mariners as a -115 moneyline favorite and the
total is sitting at 7.5 Under is -115.

This game features a very interesting pitching duel between Seattle's
veteran ace, Felix Hernandez (3.16 FIP after three starts), and Angels
prospect Nicholas Tropeano (2.49 FIP after two starts). Hernandez
appears to be on the decline at age 30 after 10 straight seasons of 30
starts or more. Tropeano, a 25-year-old northpaw from New York, has
quickly worked his way up to No. 2 in the injury-plagued LA rotation,
striking out batters with a decent mix of junk pitches and nondescript
fastballs.

Friday's game is also a battle between two front offices with two
different mindsets. Mariners GM Jerry DiPoto held the same post with the
Halos until he resigned last July when tensions mounted between himself
and manager Mike Scioscia, who didn't appreciate DiPoto's
analytics-based approach. The Angels now rank No. 28 in the majors in
team hitting at .590 OPS, five spots below Seattle (.651 OPS).

Last year, the Houston Rockets lost the first two games of their playoff
series against the Golden State Warriors. After the Rockets got home,
their city was hit by flooding. The script has changed slightly for
Thursday's Game 3 (9:30 PM ET, TNT) at the Toyota Center; the floods
have already arrived, leaving large sections of town underwater.
Oddsmakers have Golden State as a 5.5 point favorite and the total is at
215.5.

Bet on basketball at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

This also isn't the same Houston team that earned the No. 2 seed in the
Western Conference last year. The Rockets (41-41 SU, 37-45 ATS) barely
squeaked into the playoffs, plagued by dissension, injuries and a
depleted bench after the failed trade for point guard Ty Lawson. Houston
didn't have much of a prayer in either of the first two games at Oracle
Arena – but at least the Rox earned a push Monday night as 9-point road
dogs.

That's because Stephen Curry missed Game 2 for the Warriors (73-9 SU,
45-35-2 ATS) with discomfort in his ankle and foot. Curry hopes to play
in Game 3, but he was also expecting to suit up on Monday after hurting
himself in the opener. Shaun Livingston started in Curry's place and
scored 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting.

The Atlantic Division-champion Florida Panthers (47-26-9) will be on the
brink of elimination if they don't beat the New York Islanders
(45-27-10) Wednesday night. The Islanders have taken a 2-1 lead over
Florida in this Eastern Conference quarterfinal, winning Game 1 as +140
road dogs and Game 3 as –115 home favourites. Game 4 at Barclays Center
starts at 7 PM ET. Oddsmakers have the Islanders as -110 favorites while
the total is at 5.

Even though New York has the advantage, this has been a very close
matchup, with each team scoring 10 goals after three games. That's still
an impressive performance by the Islanders; they were the underdogs
going into the first round, posting a decent plus-16 goal differential
during the regular season compared to Florida's plus-36. The Panthers
won their season series 2-1, outscoring New York 10-6.

The Islanders have also done very well considering they don't have
forwards Anders Lee (15 goals, 36 points) and Mikhail Grabovski (nine
goals, 25 points) available for the first round. Lee suffered a broken
left leg earlier this month, while Grabovski is out indefinitely with
concussion-like symptoms. Meanwhile, Panthers centre Vincent Trocheck
(25 goals, 53 points) could return from his broken foot in either Game 4
or Game 5.

NBA Playoffs Tuesday Preview & Free Pick- Boston at Atlanta Game 2

Name: image_4449.jpg

The best-of-seven opening round matchup between the Boston Celtics and
the Atlanta Hawks resumes this Tuesday night with Atlanta favored by 6.5
points at home by BetAnySports.
The total line for Game 2 of this Eastern Conference clash has been set
at 205.5 and has risen slightly to 206. Tip-off from Philips Arena is
set for 7 P.M. (ET), and the game will be broadcast nationally on TNT.

The Celtics fell behind by 19 points in Saturday’ series opener and
while their frantic rally came up just one point short in a 102-101
loss, they easily covered as 5.5-point road underdogs with BetAnySports.
The total in that game stayed UNDER this 206-point closing line. Boston
is now just 1-3 straight-up in its last four games and it falls to a
costly 4-7 against the spread in its last 11 outings. The total has
stayed UNDER in nine of its last 13 games.

Isaiah Thomas ended Game 1 with a team-high 27 points and he remains the
Celtics’ top scoring threat after leading the team in scoring all
season long with 22.2 points per game. A big loss for Tuesday night and
possibly this entire series is Boston guard Avery Bradley. He left
Saturday’s game with a hamstring injury that appears to be serious in
nature. He was the team’s second leading scorer this season with 15.2
PPG.

The Hawks tied Boston in the regular season at 48-34 SU, but their 3-1
series win (both SU and ATS) help secure home-court advantage in this
playoff series as the fourth seed in the East. They closed things out
with four SU losses in their last seven games and after failing to cover
on Saturday they are a costly 2-7 ATS over their last nine outings. The
total has stayed UNDER in five of Atlanta’s last six games.

Jeff Teague (23 points and 12 assists) and Al Horford (24 points and 12
rebounds) deserve most of the credit for helping to preserve Saturday’s
win and Kent Bazemore added 24 points to the winning cause. The Hawks
were 12th in the league in scoring this season with 102.8 PPG
and defensively they rose to sixth in points allowed (99.2). Over their
past four games, their scoring average stands at 103 points, but they
have given-up an average of 106.5 points to their opponents.

I had Boston covering BetAnySports’
spread in Game 1 and I like the Celtics’ chances to cover again on
Tuesday night despite the potential loss of Bradley. These two
conference foes appear destined to battle each other close for as long
as this series lasts.

Mavs Hope to stay close in Game 2 after that shellacking by the Thunder in opener of NBA Playoff Series - Handicappers Hideaway

The Dallas Mavericks and the Oklahoma City Thunder will battle on Monday

while the combined score (178) was profitable news for UNDER bettors.

Dallas lost its last outing, a 108-70 result against the Thunder on
April 16. The Mavericks failed to cover in that game as a +12-point
