South Australia Launches Problem Gambling Alert System

South Australia Launches Problem Gambling Alert SystemGambling addiction is negatively affecting the lives of millions of individuals around the world. According to several sources, the problem is getting worst, devastating families and communities. In order to help gambling addicts, South Australia has recently launched their Problem Gambling Alert System in pubs and Clubs.

This automated system is designed to alert gaming staff when individuals have reached a certain threshold on a gaming machine. This new automated system has been approved by the Australian Gambling Authority and is being rolled out nationwide. In essence, when a gambler spends too much time or money on a machine, the gaming staff will be alerted.

The system was officially installed in hotels and clubs last week after an update to the central monitoring system. In addition, it is used and monitored by the Independent Gaming Corporation to monitor poker machine technology.

Support of the Problem Gambling Alert System

Several associations are in full favor of the new Problem Gaming Alert System like the Australian Hotels Association SA. According to Ian Horne, the AHA branch general manager the system is “very simple” and “very cost-effective” tool.  This is because it complements staff observation of potential problem gamblers in their establishment.

“This gives them a technological solution to help them with their observation monitoring – it acts more as a trigger for staff members,” Horne said.

“At the end of the day monitoring rests very heavily on human contact because the automated risk monitoring system is simply a tool to help with human contact and intervention.”

Gambling addiction is a worldwide problem according several of the top psychology and treatment center around seek help. They are various ways to seek help for not only the gambler but also for family and friends.  Some of them include group therapy, online therapy and other types of supports groups.

In addition, even though the sports betting software strategy for problem gamblers is worthwhile, a proper trained staff is necessary.

Parlay Betting Can Be Fun & Exciting

Parlay Betting Online

Parlay Betting Can Change your Bankroll

Parlay betting is one of the favorites in all of sports betting. It is because of the excitement it brings to your betting day or week. There is no doubt that parlay betting is certainly a difficult challenge. It’s a challenge worth taking if you want to make money.

Let’s talk about how and why Parlay betting is such fun and exciting.

Betting MLB Series Prices at Your Favorite Online Sportsbook

When you are placing a parlay bet at a sportsbook, you are placing multiple bets onto one card for a nice chunk of winnings. Because it’s all on one card, you MUST win all the games placed on the parlay card.

If you lose one of the games, you lose the entire bet. It does not matter if you win 9 out of 10 bets on a parlay card, one loss, and you are a loser.

With each bet that you place on the parlay card, not only does the amount of money that you could possibly win go up, the odds that you are going to lose go up as well. Parlay bets can be done with games all in one day, or games on multiple amount of days.

Why parlay betting can be such fun is the amount of money that can be won. You could place a $10 parlay down for 3 teams, and have a chance to come away with $60. Just think of the options.

Seems easy, right? All you need to do is pick 3 winners. Let’s say it’s a Sunday in the National Football League. There are 3 teams that you love against the spread, right?

Brush Up Your Soccer Betting Skills

That’s why it can be fun. Because not only are you sweating out one game, but you are sweating out multiple games. You are cheering for teams that maybe you have never cheered for before. When you have a chance to knock down a parlay card you cheer for any team.

Imagine you have a 5 team parlay card. You have won the first four games. Just think about the fun and excitement you would have watching your fifth team play on Sunday Night Football.

As with everything in the world of sports betting, you have to make sure you know what you are doing before placing a parlay bet. Many consider parlay betting as a sucker bets. That is because the sportsbook has a great advantage over you. It would be a great idea to make sure you know what you are doing before placing the parlay card.

Best of luck with all your sports betting. We love what betting parlays does to the excitement of sports betting. Players have got to be cautious and want everyone else to be cautious as well. Use your best judgement. Always use smart bankroll management.

Next time you log in your sportsbook account, check out what you can do with a parlay. You never know,  maybe you will take it down and get rich!

Best of luck!

NBA Playoffs: Can 76ers Extend Series Against Celtics?

Celtics NBA Playoffs 2018

Celtics Look to Close out Sixers at Home in Game 5

The Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Celtics meet at TD Garden in Game 5 of their Eastern Conference semifinal matchup. The 76ers extended the series at least one more game by winning Game 4 in Philly. No team has ever come from a 0-3 deficit to advance.

Oddsmakers opened the 76ers as -1.5-point favorites versus the Celtics, while the game's total opened at 204. The line is not Boston -1 and the total is unchanged.

TV: 8 p.m. EST, TNT

Celtics Suffer Another Injury

The injury-plagued Celtics suffered another one in the game. Shane Larkin injured his left shoulder running into Joel Embiid. This late information just came in on Larkin from ScoresandStats.com

Larkin suffered a sprained shoulder when he collided with Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid in Game 4.

Stevens said imaging tests appeared to indicate that Larkin won't require surgery. He said Larkin's shoulder is "very, very sore."

"Obviously he'll continue to strengthen it and work on it with our training staff and everything else," Stevens told reporters. "But I don't anticipate him back any time soon." Source

Jayson Tatum became the first Celtic to have six straight 20-plus-point playoff games since Paul Pierce in 2009. He joined David Robinson, Billy Knight and Donovan Mitchell as the only NBA rookies to achieve the feat since 1975. Utah's Mitchell scored 20 or more in seven straight games earlier this postseason.

T.J. McConnell Shines For Philly

Inserting T.J. McConnell into the starting lineup provided the spark that the Sixers needed. They stayed alive with a convincing victory in Philadelphia Monday night. He provided the tone for Monday's win by making 9-of-12 from the field. He did not committing any turnovers.

McConnell will draw his second straight start after his showing. He posted 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists in 39 minutes in game 4. McConnell started just one game during the regular season. He provided the tone for Monday's win by making 9-of-12 from the field.

Dario Saric scored 25 points in game 4 after averaging 12.3 points over the first three games.

Justify was the 3/1 Morning-Line favourite for the Kentucky Derby. He didn’t disappoint despite the heaviest rainfall ever recorded on Derby Day. The Bob Baffert-trained colt won by 2 ½ lengths over Good Magic (12/1), followed by Audible (8/1) and pace-setter Instilled Regard (50/1).

This superfecta paid out a healthy $19,618.20 on a $1 ticket.

Baffert has already confirmed that Justify will race in the Preakness Stakes. It is the second jewel of North American horse racing’s Triple Crown. At press time, the Derby winner is available at 7/5 to sweep the Preakness and the Belmont Stakes.

Audible and Good Magic are Justify’s top threats at Pimlico, although neither has been confirmed to appear. Notables on the Preakness futures market include May Boy Jack (16/1), Diamond King (16/1), Runaway Ghost (18/1) and Hofburg (18/1).

NBA Playoffs: Tuesday Free Pick- New Orleans at Golden State Game 5

Golden State NBA Playoffs 2018

Golden State in Commanding 3-1 Lead

The New Orleans Pelicans and the Golden State Warriors resume their matchup Tuesday night. This is the Western Conference Semifinals Game 5 of this best-of-seven clash. Game time from ORACLE Arena on TNT is set for 10:30 p.m.

VietBet opened the Warriors as heavy 12-point favorites to close this series out and the total has been set at 227.5 points. The line is now Golden State -11.5 and the total slipped to 227.

Pelicans Won Game 3 and Then Slid Back in The Last One

The Pelicans lost the first two games of this series on the road. They closed the gap in Game 3 with a 119-100 victory at home as 4.5-point underdogs. Closing as six-point home underdogs for Sunday’s Game 4, they got waxed 118-92 to fall into this dreaded 3-1 hole.

New Orleans is still a profitable 11-2 against the spread over its last 13 games. The total has gone OVER the VietBet closing line in eight of those outings.

New Orleans took a big step forward this season. It was capped off by its opening-round sweep against Portland. The reality of just how big the gap remains with Golden State has settled in. The Pelicans trailed by 15 points at the end of the first quarter in Sunday’s loss.

They were outscored by 14 points in the third quarter to create an almost insurmountable deficit against the league’s top team. In a losing effort, credit Anthony Davis for posting his eighth-straight double-double in points (26) and rebounds (12) in the postseason.

Golden State is Starting to Click on All Cylinders

The Warriors needed five games to get past San Antonio in the opening round. They went 3-2 ATS in that series, but they are just 2-4 ATS in their last six playoff games. The total stayed UNDER the VietBet 231.5-point betting line on Sunday. It has stayed UNDER in four of their last six outings.

Golden State is 3-2 ATS in five previous home games in this year’s playoffs.

Stephen Curry is back in the starting lineup and he scored 23 points in Game 4. Kevin Durant led the way in that important win with a game-high 38 points. Durant was 15-for-27 from the field. He continues to lead the way in this postseason with 28.4 points per game.

Golden State was the highest scoring team in the NBA during the regular season. They led with an average of 113.5 PPG. That average has slipped slightly to 110.0 points a game over nine postseason games.

I would not bet against Golden State at home SU. I am leery about giving up that many points. My top pick for Tuesday’s contest would be the UNDER 227 at VietBet.

NBA Playoffs: Cavaliers Look to Eliminate Raptors

Cavaliers NBA Playoffs 2018

Raptors Have Been Dominated by Cavaliers

The Toronto Raptors and the Cleveland Cavaliers meet in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference Semifinal Series on Monday. Lebron James has thoroughly destroyed the Raptors this series. The way he is playing it doesn't matter who he was playing. He is the best player on the planet right now.

Oddsmakers opened the Cavaliers as -5.5-point favorites versus the Raptors, while the game's total opened at 213. The is now Cleveland -5 and the total is at 214.  TV: 8:30 p.m. ET, ABC.

The Raptors are in a 3-0 hole to the Cleveland Cavaliers.  They were in the same situation at this time a year ago and the Cavs brought out the brooms. The closet door is wide open again. King James, and company, is rummaging around and about to grab the handle.

The Cavs have never lost Game 4 of a series in which they won the first three games.

History suggests the Raptors' deficit in this series is basically non-recoverable. Not like they have been destroyed. The Cavs won two games by a combined three points. They blew a 14-point lead in the fourth quarter of Game 3. Then won it on James' stunning bank shot while falling away from the hoop as time expired.

Cavaliers Have to Keep Playing Good D

James has been brilliant in the postseason. His stat sheet is glimmering with 34.8 points, 9.6 rebounds, 8.8 assists per game. His 348 points through 10 playoff games are the most since Michael Jordan scored 354 through 10 postseason games in 1992.

But James is averaging 41.7 minutes per game and played all 82 regular-season games.

Cleveland also needs Kevin Love to keep chipping in with some quality production. Tristan Thompson and J.R. Smith are liable to get hot at any time as well. James can't keep putting up these type of minutes.

Raptors Have to Play with Heart and Determination

The Raptors made Game 3 close behind the efforts of Kyle Lowry. He scored 15 of his 27 during the comeback. DeMar DeRozan was just 3 of 12 for eight points in the game. He was on the bench for the entire Toronto comeback.

HC Dwayne Casey also made a lineup change in Game 3. He inserted a third guard, Fred VanVleet, for Serge Ibaka. The matchup changes resulted in Cavs role players JR Smith and Tristan Thompson both being shut out from scoring. At least the Raptors hope so.

Toronto won a franchise-record 59 games during the regular season, and earning the top seed in the East for the first time. The Raptors are quickly searching for answers to stop Cleveland.

NBA Playoffs: Celtics Look to Close out Philly

Celtics NBA Playoffs 2018

Celtics Have Eked  Out Wins in Series Thus Far

The Boston Celtics battle the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference Semifinal matchup at Wells Fargo Center. The Celtics enjoy a 3-0 lead in the series. They would love nothing better than to rub salt in the wounds of the Sixers and their fans. Don't expect the 76ers to do down easy.

Oddsmakers opened the 76ers as -6-point favorites versus the Celtics, while the game's total opened at 204.5. The line now is Boston -7 and the total is at 205.5.

It's not as if Boston has dominated the series thus far. The 76ers led by 22 points in a 108-103 loss in Game .2 They led Game 3 by six late in the second quarter and eventually lost in overtime.

Ben Simmons Needs to Become a Force Once Again

Ben Simmons needs to come back out of his shell. He has to play as the triple-double force he was late in the regular season. After scoring just one point in Game 2, Simmons had 16, with eight rebounds and eight steals in Game 2. The problem was he also turned the ball over four times and had a plus/minus ratio of negative-11.

Simmons missed a critical shot at just the wrong time. Which is because of inexperience. With less than 30 seconds left in overtime, Joel Embiid missed a jumper. Simmons rebounded the ball with 18 seconds left on the clock. Rather than milk the time, Simmons tried a put-back. He missed, and Boston's Marcus Morris grabbed the rebound.

Al Horford scored with 5.5 seconds left to put the Celtics up.

Celtics Need Their Own Rookie to Keep Producing

Simmons may be struggling in his first second-round series, Celtics rookie Jayson Tatum continues to shine. Tatum scored 24 points on 11 for 17 shooting in Game 3. He scored 21 in Game 2 and 28 in Game 1. During the playoffs he has seven 20-point games. Includi9ng five straight. You can throw in a 19-point game, as well, for good measure.

Tatum is averaging 24.3 points in the series. Terry Rozier continues to shine while leading the team in scoring during the playoffs at 19.0 a pop. He has provided 22.3 per game the past three.

Rozier, who averaged 11.3 points in the regular season, is 18-for-34 from behind the arc over the last four games.

Horford scored seven of his 13 points in overtime. He had a key steal in the final seconds that smothered out a chance for Philadelphia to win the game.

Sunday Night Baseball: Cubs Look to Avoid Sweep

Chicago Cubs Sunday Night Baseball

Cubs Face Cards Team Decimated by Injuries

The Chicago Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals will meet on Sunday Night Baseball.  New Busch Stadium will host the prime-time matchup. 8:05 pm EST is scheduled first pitch and ESPN will have the telecast.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Cubs LH Jon Lester (2-1, 2.73 ERA) vs. Cardinals RH Michael Wacha (4-1, 3.62)

Oddsmakers opened the Cardinals as -120-moneyline favorites versus the Cubs, while the game's total opened at 8.5. The Cubs are now -107-moneyline favorites. The total is not at 8Over -125.

The Cardinals are in position to complete a three-game sweep of the Cubs on Sunday night. A chance of the sweep is after the improbable erasing of deficits of 4-0 and 6-4 on Saturday. Kolten Wong's two-run walk-off homer in the 10th inning capped an 8-6 victory Saturday.

The win was costly. It cost the first-place Cardinals center fielder Tommy Pham. He left in the second inning with right groin tightness. Catcher Yadier Molina left the game in the ninth inning after being hit by a foul tip. Closer Bud Norris left in the 10th inning with a triceps injury.

Cardinals Look to Wacha to Keep Game Close

Wacha has won four straight decisions. The Cardinals have won his last five starts. The 26-year-old allowed two runs and five hits over five innings in a no-decision against the White Sox on Tuesday.

Despite the injuries the Cardinals improved to 3-1 this season against the two-time defending National League Central champions.

Wacha missed the Cubs in the last series. He probably didn't mind as he is 4-7 with a 6.41 ERA in 16 career games (14 starts) against them. That includes an 0-3 mark last season.

Cubs Have Lost 4 Straight

The Cubs will enter Sunday's showdown having lost four straight games. They are running in place. They won five straight and then lose a few.

The Cubs finally showed promise offensively Saturday. They snapped a nine-game string of games in which they scored three or fewer runs.

Lester has already beaten the Cardinals once this season. He threw six innings and allowed an unearned run and two hits April 19. Lester is 6-4 with a 3.16 ERA in 15 career starts against the Cardinals.

Lester has not allowed an earned run in three of his six outings this season either. That includes his no-decision against Colorado last time out. The 34-year-old yielded two unearned runs in 5 2/3 innings versus the Rockies.
