Indiana and Miami Face off in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals With the Series Tied 1-1

NBA Odds: Spurs Eye Redemption, Second Consecutive West Crown

Betting on Spurs NBA Basketball

Still reeling from their tragic collapse down the stretch in Game 6
of last year’s NBA Finals, the San Antonio Spurs are hell-bent on
getting back and righting their wrongs. On Wednesday, Tim Duncan and
company will look to take a two-game lead over Kevin Durant and the
Oklahoma City Thunder.

Bet on basketball at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

With their slight lead in the Western Conference Finals and their 5/4
odds of winning the NBA championship, the Spurs are league favorites in
the sportsbook. The veteran club’s display of poise in Game 1, coupled
with Miami’s unexpected loss to Indiana in Game 1 of the Eastern
Conference Finals, have fans and critics reconsidering the San Antonio
team whose window many thought had closed for good this time.

Trailing in the series, OKC has 13/2 odds on the NBA Futures, not bad
for a perennial contender with the league?s MVP on roster. Can Kevin
Durant and Russell Westbrook find a way to keep the Thunder in the
series and return to the Finals? Let’s not forget that it was Oklahoma
City who fell to Miami in the Finals in 2012 before San Antonio fell in
2013.

Get an idea of what to expect in the West – and whether or not either
of these squads could beat the Heat when push comes to shove – at Game 2

BetAnySports’ NBA Playoffs Pick of the Week — Miami Heat vs. Indiana Pacers

Betting on Indiana Pacers Basketball

Miami Heat vs. Indiana Pacers Game 2- Tuesday, May 20

BetAnySports’ Line: Heat -2 1/2 and the Total is 184 1/2

The NBA’s Eastern Conference Playoffs have gone chalk so far with No.
2 Miami squaring off against No. 1 Indiana in the Conference Finals.
The Pacers opened the series with an impressive 107-96 victory this past
Sunday as two-point home underdogs. The total went OVER the 182-point
closing line. BetAnySports has opened the Heat as 2.5-point road favorites for Tuesday night with the total set at 184.

Miami’s slow start out of the gate in Game 1 of this series led to a
10-point deficit at the half that it was never able to close. Dwyane
Wade led all scorers with 27 points and LeBron James added another 25
points to go along with 10 rebounds, but it was not enough. The Heat
looked sharp shooting the ball from the field with a field goal
percentage of 51.3, but when it came to hitting their shots from 3-point
range it was a whole other story by going just 6-for-23. They also lost
the battle under the boards by getting outrebounded 38 to 29.

The Heat cruised through their first two playoff series in nine
games. They eliminated Charlotte with four-straight wins and they sent
Brooklyn packing in five. However, they have now failed to cover against
the spread in three of their last four postseason games. The total has
gone OVER in five of their last six playoff games on the road.

Indiana has looked like a whole different ball club its past few
games then the one that needed back-to-back victories over Atlanta in
the opening round to win that series in seven games. It started off the
Conference Semifinals against Washington with a 102-96 loss as a
four-point home favorite, but got things in gear with a 4-1 SU run to
win that series in six games. The Pacers are now 7-2 SU in their last
nine games with a 6-3 record ATS. The total has stayed UNDER in nine of
their last 13 games.

All five Indiana starters scored in double figures in Game 1 with
Paul George leading the way with 24 points. The team shot an impressive
51.5 percent from the field and 42.1 percent from 3-point range as
opposed to a postseason average of 44.8 percent from the field and 38.2
percent from beyond the arc. It was just the second time in 14 playoff
games that the Pacers scored more than 100 points.

The home team in this showdown is a perfect 9-0 SU in the last nine
meetings, but I am bucking that trend for Tuesday night by taking Miami
minus the 2.5 points on BetAnySports’ current NBA betting line for this game.

NBA Odds: The Return of the Pacers, Indy Eyes ECFs

Betting on Indiana Pacers Basketball

For much of the 2013-14 campaign, the Indiana Pacers were a
certifiable league contender and juggernaut in the Eastern Conference –
then things started to go south. After nearly falling out of the running
altogether at the hands of the Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the
playoffs, Indy is back and finally starting to live up to their NBA
odds. Can they close the books on a Washington Wizards club that’s
trying to make club history?

Bet on basketball at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

It’s been a while since the Wizards were a reputable title threat. In
fact, the team’s made it to the second round of the postseason just
once since 1982. In that 2005 series, they were swept by the Miami Heat.

While Washington has already improved they now face elimination as the Pacers have seemingly awoken from their spring slumber.

Suddenly Indiana, which limped to the finish line in the final months
of the regular season, is looking like the formidable force they’ve
been pegged as since being ousted in the Eastern Conference Finals last
season.

The resurgent club has 8/1 odds of winning the NBA championship to show for their progress.

Betting on OKC Thunder Basketball

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder- Tuesday, May 13

BetAnySports’ Line: OKC Thunder -5 1/2 and the Total is 212 1/2

The Western Conference Semifinals matchup between the Los Angeles
Clippers and the Oklahoma City Thunder shifts back to Chesapeake Energy
Arena this Tuesday night for Game 5; with the best-of-seven series tied
at two games apiece. Tip-off for this crucial showdown is set for 9:30
p.m. (ET) and the game will be broadcast nationally on TNT.

Los Angeles grabbed the early 1-0 edge in this series with a stunning 122-105 victory in Game 1 as a 5.5-point road underdog on BetAnySports’ closing NBA betting line.
After falling 112-101 in Game 2 as five-point road underdogs, the
Clippers gave the home court advantage right back to Oklahoma City in a
118-112 loss as 4.5-point favorites at home in Game 3. Determined to tie
thing right back up, they bared down in a hard-fought 101-99 win this
past Sunday night as five-point home favorites. The total stayed UNDER
the 213.5-point closing line after it went OVER in two of the first
three games of this series.

The big question mark for the Clippers on Tuesday night will be their
ability to return to the form they showed in their first road game of
this series. Chris Paul exploded for a game-high 32 points while
shooting 12-of-14 from the field and 8-of-9 from 3-point range. In this
past Sunday’s win it was Darren Collison’s turn to dial-up his game with
eight of his 18 points coming in a fourth-quarter rally. Paul ended-up
with 23 points and Blake Griffin led the way with a team-high 25 points.

The Thunder came into this series fresh-off an unexpected seven-game
test against Memphis in which they had to overcome a 3-2 deficit with
back-to-back victories both straight-up and against the spread. They
took the 2-1 edge this time around with the victory in Game 3 as
4.5-point underdogs on the road. Oklahoma City is now 6-4-1 ATS in 11
playoff games and the total has gone OVER in seven of the contests.

It has been the Kevin Durant show for most of this series with
Russell Westbrook also lending a pretty big hand. Durant put up 40
points in Sunday’s loss, following a game-high 36 points in Game 3 and
32 points in the second game against Los Angeles. The league’s newest
MVP is averaging 31.1 points per game while shooting 46.3 percent from
the field in this year’s playoffs. Westbrook is the team?s second
leading scorer with 26.3 PPG.

BetAnySports
has opened the Thunder as 5.5-point home favorites for Tuesday night
with the total set at 212.5. While Oklahoma City should be able to
grind-out the SU win at home, take the Clippers to cover with the points
in another tight one.

NBA Odds: Clippers Gather Steam, Emerge as Western Conference Force

Betting on Clippers NBA Basketball

The Los Angeles Clippers survived a dramatic first round series with
the Golden State Warriors last weekend and now hold a one-game lead over
the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference semis. Is the
betting world finally ready to start taking L.A.’s NBA odds seriously?

Bet on basketball at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

While their first series went down to the wire, Chris Paul and
company looked every bit the force that remained within contention for
the top seed in the conference up until the final week of the regular
season when they tipped off against OKC. The Clippers now have 5/1 odds
of winning the NBA championship.

Can the squad keep the momentum rolling on into Game 2 of their
best-of-seven with Kevin Durant and the Thunder? Oklahoma City, don’t
forget, has been an NBA futures favorite for the better part of the past
three seasons. Trailing to the Clips, they now have 7/1 odds of winning
the title.

Expect big things out of the series as the winner will likely have a
significant shot of representing the West in the NBA Finals. Once there,
anything can happen.

BetAnySports’ NBA Playoffs Pick of the Week

Betting on Spurs NBA Basketball

Portland Trail Blazers vs. San Antonio Spurs- Tuesday, May 6

BetAnySports’ Line: San Antonio -6 1/2 and the Total is 207

The final matchup in this year’s NBA Conference Semifinals gets
underway this Tuesday night when the No. 5 Portland Trail Blazers go on
the road to face the No. 1 San Antonio Spurs in Game 1 of this
best-of-seven series. The game is set to get underway at 9:30 p.m. (ET)
and it will be broadcast nationally on TNT.

This will be the second series that Portland starts as an underdog
after its stunning 4-2 victory over Houston in the opening round. The
Trail Blazers started fast and hot against the favored Rockets by
winning three of the first four games straight-up (2-1-1 against the
spread) before closing things out with a 99-98 Game 6 thriller as
four-point home favorites. They did fail to cover in those final two
games and the total stayed UNDER in both.

To get out of the gate quick against the West’s top seed, Portland
will need another strong effort from LaMarcus Aldridge and Damian
Lillard. Aldridge led the team in scoring (29.8 points) and he pulled
down a team-high 11.2 rebounds over the six games against Houston.
Lillard was second in points with 25.5 and he led the team in assists
with 6.7 a game. The Trail Blazers shot 45.4 percent from the field and
36.4 percent from 3-point range while pulling down 42.7 rebounds a game.

The Spurs needed all seven games to get by Southwest Division foe
Dallas to advance to this round including a lopsided 119-96 victory in
this past Sunday?s Game 7 as seven-point home favorites. It was the only
game that San Antonio covered the spread in this series and it was
favored in all seven outings. The total went OVER the 197.5-point
closing line on BetAnySports and overall it has gone OVER in five of the
seven games.

The veteran leadership on this team stepped up its game when it had
to against the Mavericks so look to the likes of Tony Parker, Tim Duncan
and Manu Ginobili to try and gain the edge in this series with a win on
Tuesday night. Parker dealt with a sore ankle down the stretch but
still led the team with 19.9 points per game. Ginobili came off the
bench to average 17.7 PPG and Duncan added 17.3 points and 8.4 rebounds
in the winning effort. The Spurs averaged 103.1 points against Dallas
while shooting 49.7 percent from the field.

Portland comes into this matchup as a six-point road underdog on BetAnySports’
NBA betting line and the total has been set at 206. I think the road
team has a decent shot at covering on Tuesday night, but my top pick in
this one is the OVER on the total line.

BetAnySports’ NBA Playoffs Pick of the Week

Betting on OKC Thunder Basketball

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Oklahoma City Thunder — Tuesday, April 29

BetAnySports’ Betting Line: Thunder -7 and the Total is 186

Everyone knew that No. 7 Memphis was going to be a tough out in its
opening round best-of-seven series against No. 2 Oklahoma City and that
is exactly the case heading into Tuesday night’s Game 5. The Grizzlies
actually had a chance to take a commanding lead in this series, but
things got evened up at two games apiece in Saturday’s thrilling 92-89
overtime loss in a game that ended as a PUSH on BetAnySports’ closing line.

Memphis is 2-1-1 against the spread in this series and the total has
been evenly split 2-2. BetAnySports has listed the Grizzlies as
six-point road underdogs for this matchup with the total set at 186.5.
What they need to avoid is a huge swing in momentum after coming up
short in Game 4, but you have to believe that this team will be ready to
go for Tuesday’s 9 p.m. (ET) tip. They quickly bounced back from a
lopsided 100-86 loss in Game 1 as 7.5-point road underdogs with overtime
victories in the next two games.

Oklahoma City may have gotten caught looking past this series in its
quest for a NBA title, but you have to believe that Memphis has its full
attention in what boils down to a best-of-three affair. The biggest
difference in Saturday’s overtime win than the first three games of this
series was the added effort from the Thunders’ bench to get that win.
It had been the Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook show until Reggie
Jackson pumped-in 32 points in Game 4 to pace the much needed victory.

Durant has led the way in this series with 28.5 points per game and
Westbrook is a close second with 24.2 points, but these two combined for
just 30 points this past Saturday night. The Thunder are going to need
some additional support to regain the edge in this series with Durant
shooting 39.6 percent from the field and Westbrook hitting just 35.1
percent of his shots from the floor. These two have really struggled
from 3-point range and the team as a whole is shooting just 25.5 percent
from beyond the arc.

It is hard to see Oklahoma City losing this game on its home court,
but given the nature of this series with the last three games ending-up
tied at the end of regulation, I will gladly take Memphis and the six
points on BetAnySports’ betting odds for this matchup.

NBA Playoffs Pick of the Week: Washington Wizards vs. Chicago Bulls — Tuesday, April 22

Betting on Bulls NBA Basketball

The Washington Wizards started the NBA Playoffs as the fifth seed in
the Eastern Conference and 4.5-point underdogs in this past Sunday’s
best-of-seven conference quarterfinal opener against the No. 4 Chicago
Bulls. After stunning the Bulls 102-93 in that game, they are now listed
by BetAnySports as 5.5-point road underdogs for Tuesday night’s Game 2 with the total
set at 181.5. Tip-off for this contest is set for 9:30 p.m. and the game
will be broadcast nationally from the United Center on TNT.

The Wizards finished four games behind Chicago in the standings and
they built up some momentum for this matchup by winning their final four
regular season games both straight-up and against the spread. The total
went OVER BetAnySports’ closing 178.5-point line in Game 1 and it has
now gone OVER in Washington’s last three contests.

The hot hand for the Wizards in Sunday’s nine-point victory was Nene
Hilario with 24 points while going 11-for-17 from the field. Marcin
Gortat added 15 points and a game-high 13 rebounds in the winning
effort. Washington shot 48.6 percent from the floor and it outrebounded
Chicago 45-39. All five starters in Saturday’s game scored in double
figures and Andre Miller added another 10 points off the bench.

The most stunning aspect of the Bulls’ loss in Game 1 was the fact
that their vaunted defense allowed 102 points after ranking first in the
NBA this season in points allowed (91.8). This was just the second time
in their last 10 games that the opposing team reached the century mark
against this team. Chicago went 8-2 SU in its final 10 regular season
games with a 6-3-1 record ATS. The total has now gone OVER in four of
its last five outings.

To avoid falling into a dreaded 0-2 hole with the next two games of
this series on the road, the Bulls will need to do a much better job
shooting the ball, especially from outside the perimeter. They hit 42
percent of their attempts from the field and when it came to shooting
the ball from 3-point range, they converted on just 5-of 20 attempts.
All five of Chicago’s starters ended the night in double figures and DJ
Augustin and Taj Gibson combined for 28 points off the bench. Joakim
Noah scored 10 points and he led the team in both rebounds (10) and
assists (4).

This matchup is a perfect opportunity to take the home team and lay
the points as the Bulls bounce back in a big way on Tuesday night to
even this series at one game apiece.

NBA Odds: Dysfunctional Knicks Still Alive, Face Test Down the Stretch

Betting on New York Knicks Basketball

The New York Knicks are on the outside looking in at the Eastern
Conference playoff picture but still have time to get their foot in the
door as the regular season comes to a close. With just 150/1 odds of
winning, they’re far from a reassuring NBA betting choice, but there’s
no reason to believe that they can’t edge out the short-staffed Atlanta
Hawks for the eighth and final seed.

Bet on the NBA at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

Led by the same disjointed roster that’s led them over the course of
the past few seasons, this year’s Knicks will hope for a miracle in the
event that they manage to sneak into the postseason. That, however, is
no knock on Carmelo Anthony.

Averaging 27.5 points per game, Melo has re-established himself as a
franchise player that fans (and bettors) can rely on. It’s that
surrounding cast that causes concern.

JR Smith trails Anthony for the team lead in scoring, but his is an
inconsistent presence that basketball fans would be wise to be nervous
about down the stretch. Smith’s unpredictability, coupled with Amar’e
Stoudemire’s injury history and Andrea Bargnani’s own shortcomings make
for an interesting club.

On the bright side, though, the Knicks have gotten some of the most
production they’ve had out of Stoudemire since Anthony arrived in New
York, and first-year wing Tim Hardaway Jr has fit in well with the Big
Apple culture.

This Friday the Knicks will put themselves on the line as they take
on their division rival Toronto Raptors. The Raps have already clinched
their postseason berth and should serve as a valuable gauging tool for
those interested in seeing how New York stacks up.

NBA Betting Preview - Golden State Warriors (46-28) vs. San Antonio Spurs (58-16)

Winners of 18 straight games, the Spurs may sit some players tonight to

comes in off a big victory last night at the buzzer. The Warriors are

important to them even being a back2back.

Sports Betting Online - Keep An Eye Out For These Betting Options

If you bet on sports, you have a busy week with plenty of different options as the NBA playoffs is down to their final four, while the Stanley Cup finals switches from New Jersey to Los Angeles and the week wraps with some baseball action.

Thunder Spurs Odds (Monday, 9:00 PM ET): San Antonio is favored by five points at home in Game 5 of their Western Conference finals matchup against Oklahoma City, and those wagering at sports betting sites would tell you that the home team has won the first four games of this series. It is down to a best-of-three now, which makes home-court advantage even more important.

Celtics Heat Odds (Tuesday, 8:30 PM ET): The home team has also come out on top over the first four games of the Eastern finals as well, and Miami is favored at home on Tuesday night by eight points. The Heat could also be getting Chris Bosh back after an abdominal strain has sidelined the All-Star forward for the last nine games.

Devils Kings Odds (Wednesday, 8:00 PM ET): Cappers at betting sites should find the Kings favored in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup finals, but they're not quite the same in Los Angeles, although they could be going to close out the series after Game 3 on Monday. The Devils failed to protect their home ice and the Kings ran their record to 10-0 on the road, but can they bring the same intensity to the table at the Staples Center?

Rays Yankees Odds (Thursday, 7:05 PM ET): In this huge American League East matchup, a pair of ace southpaws square off in the Bronx as C.C. Sabathia and the Yankees welcome David Price and the Tampa Bay Rays. Sabathia beat Price when the two teams met in New York back in May, and the Yankees should end up being the favorite; 2012 Triple Crown betting sharps would compare this to a pair of thoroughbreds at Saturday?s Belmont Stakes.

Nationals Red Sox Odds (Friday, 7:10 PM ET): Interleague action kicks off on Friday with Boston getting their first look at the game's next big thing in Washington's Stephen Strasburg, who has looked like a Young candidate for the surprising Nationals. The Red Sox will counter with Felix Doubront, who is making the transition from the bullpen to the rotation and has given up five homers in his last three starts, but Boston has won two of those games. American League fans won't get a lot of chances to see Strasburg much in 2012, and you can wager that you'll see at least one "Strasburg to Boston in the future" article this week as you are researching your online sportsbook pick.

Sports Betting Online - What To Wager On Next Week

Your online sportsbook will focus on Euro Cup scores at the end of the week, but there is plenty to get you through the week as the Stanley Cup finals roll on, along with the NBA playoffs and Major League Baseball.

Monday

Devils Kings Odds (8:00 PM ET): Los Angeles could be holding a 2-0 series lead by the time they head home for Game 3 on Monday night, but some sports betting online sharps may state that New Jersey has a better chance in Los Angeles, given how strong the Kings have been on the road.

Tuesday

Rays Yankees Odds (7:05 PM ET): These American League East rivals square off in the Bronx in a game that should be on the radar of sports betting players that follow baseball, and they'll see the Rays send out James Shields to take on Andy Pettitte, who is still shaking the rust off for the Yankees after sitting out the 2011 season.

Wednesday

Thunder Spurs Odds (8:30 PM ET): This series will either be three games to one for San Antonio or all tied up at two by the time we get to Game 5 on Wednesday night, and Oklahoma City showed they could make a series of it with a 20-point rout in Game 3 on Thursday night. The Spurs played their worst basketball in a while as they saw a 20-game winning streak that started in the regular season get ended swiftly, but being a veteran team, San Antonio probably weren't thinking about that streak; they're looking at the big picture, which is an NBA championship.

Thursday

Mets Nationals Odds (1:05 PM ET): In a National League East rivalry, Washington will look to continue their surprising start to the season and it is always an occasion for those that bet on sports when Stephen Strasburg is on the mound. The Nationals ace will try to help his team to a victory as they'll take on knuckleballer R.A. Dickey of the Mets in the nation?s capital.

Friday

Greece Poland Odds (12:00 PM ET): The European Championships kicks off on Friday with the co-hosts from Poland taking on Greece, who stole the show with a shocking victory at Euro 2004. Poland can take some encouragement from that tournament as no one expected them to do much, but they have a few good players, including a couple that led their team to success in the German Bundesliga, and the crowd are going to be up for it, especially after watching the opening ceremonies. You could expect the Polish to be the favorites on Friday as you prepare to make your weekend picks in your online sportsbooks.
