This could be the best series in the entire Stanley Cup playoffs. The
defending champion Chicago Blackhawks (47-26-9) have drawn the St. Louis
Blues (49-24-9) in the Western Conference Quarterfinals. Game 1 is
Wednesday night at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, starting at 9:30
PM ET on NBCSN. Oddsmakers have the Blues as a -125 favorite on the
moneyline in Game #1 and the total is sitting at 5.

Bet on hockey at Bodog and get a free 100% bonus.

Although the Blues finished the 2015-2016 regular season with the better
record, Chicago skates into the playoffs with shorter odds on the
Stanley Cup futures market. The Hawks are the second-favorites at +800
(along with LA, Anaheim, Dallas and Pittsburgh), a step ahead of St.
Louis at +1000. These two teams faced each other five times during the
regular season; the Blues won three games, with the total split evenly
at 2-2-1.

Chicago will be without defenseman Duncan Keith (nine goals, 43 points)
for Wednesday's opener. The two-time Norris Trophy winner has one game
left to go in his six-game suspension for hitting Minnesota Wild forward
Charlie Coyle in the face with his stick. The Hawks also have a number
of players listed as questionable for Game 1, including top-line centre
Artem Anisimov (20 goals, 42 points) and second-line right wing Marian
Hossa (13 goals, 33 points). The Blues will have all their key players
available Wednesday.

Barcelona beat Atletico Madrid 2-1 at home in the first leg of their
Champions League quarterfinals. Can Atletico turn it around in the
second leg at home on Wednesday? Oddsmakers have FC Barcelona as a
slight favorite as a PK -165 and the total is sitting at 2.5.

Luis Suarez scored twice in Barcelona's victory in the first leg – a
match that featured 10 yellow cards. Two of the 10 cards went to
Fernando Torres, who scored Atletico's opening goal, then was sent off
in the 36th minute. Suarez got away with a couple of fouls
that might have warranted cards as well, but he cashed in on two
opportunities in the 63rd and the 74th minutes. The pair of yellows for Torres means that the striker will miss the all-important second leg because of suspension.

This will be the fourth meeting of the season between these bitter
Spanish rivals, who are also first (Barcelona) and second (Atletico) in
La Liga. All three matches have been won 2-1 by Barcelona, who now has
seven wins and a tie in their last eight meetings with their rivals.
Atletico last beat Barcelona 1-0 in the Champions League in April 2014.

NBA Tuesday Preview & Free Pick- Miami Heat at Detroit Pistons - Handicappers Hideaway

The Miami Heat and the Detroit Pistons clash for the second Tuesday in a row and this time around BetAnySports
has opened the Pistons as three-point home favorites. This follows the
Heat’s 107-89 victory last Tuesday as 4.5-point home favorites. The
total stayed UNDER the closing 202-point line in that game and it has
been set at 205.5 points this time around . After overnight betting the
line now sits at Detroit -2 against the spread and the total is sitting
at 201. Tip-off from the Palace for this Tuesday’s rematch is set for
7:30 p.m.

The Heat are still battling Atlanta and Boston for the No. 3 seed in the
East with two games left to play in the regular season. Including last
week’s win against the Pistons, Miami is 3-1 both straight-up and
against the spread in its last four games and the total has stayed UNDER
BetAnySports’ closing line in six of its last nine contests. The Heat
will have to finish things up on the road where they are 19-20 both SU
and ATS this season.

Hassan Whiteside returned to Miami’s starting lineup in the team’s
118-96 victory against Orlando on Sunday as a 9.5-point favorites and he
made an immediate impact with 18 points and 15 rebounds. Dwyane Wade
added 17 points in the winning cause with four of five Miami starters
accounting for 74 of the total 118 points scored. The Heat are ranked 23rd in the NBA in scoring with 100.2 points per game, but they jump to fifth in points allowed (98.5).

Detroit will be making its first trip to the playoffs since the
2008/2009 season after clinching a berth with last Friday’s 112-99
victory against Washington as a six-point home favorite on BetAnySports’
closing line. The Pistons have now won nine of their last 12 games SU
and they are 3-1 ATS in their last four contests. The total has gone
OVER in their last two games after staying UNDER in their previous four
outings.

Reggie Jackson is one of the main reasons why Detroit is finally headed
back to the postseason. He put-up 39 points in Friday’s win over the
Wizards and on the year he is averaging a team-high 18.8 PPG. The
Pistons are averaging 101.9 points a game and they climb all the way to
third in the NBA in rebounds with 46.3 a game. Defensively, they are
allowing an average of 101.3 PPG.

While there is still something on the line for both teams in this
contest, I like Detroit’s chances to avenge last Tuesday’s loss with a
SU win on its home court this time around that also covers BetAnySports’ current two-point betting line.

The fans at FedEx Forum will be wondering whether the Golden State
Warriors will be playing their starters most of the game as they are in
position to break the Bulls single season win record if they win out the
regular season or will they rest for the NBA Playoff grind as they have
locked up the top spot in the Western Conference.

The Grizzlies on the other hand are in a knock-down drag-out with the
Trail Blazers and Mavericks for spots 5-7 in the playoffs. Memphis
currently is in 6th, one game ahead of Dallas and one game behind
Portland. These games are important as the 7th seed will have to face
the Spurs who have proven to be almost as tough this season as the
Warriors.

Oddsmakers currently have the Warriors listed as 13-point favorites versus the Grizzlies, while the game's total is sitting at 211.

Memphis was a 103-93 loser in its last match on the road against the
Mavericks. They failed to cover the +6.5-point spread as underdogs,
while the total score of 196 sent OVER bettors to the payout window.

MLB Odds: Giants Host Dodgers on FS1

One of the greatest rivalries in sports continues this Saturday (4:05 PM
ET, FS1) when the San Francisco Giants host the Los Angeles Dodgers.
It'll be a classic pitcher's duel between San Francisco lefty Madison
Bumgarner, the three-time World Series champion, and Los Angeles
southpaw Clayton Kershaw, the three-time National League Cy Young Award
winner.

Oddsmakers have this matchup pegged as a low-scoring game as the total
is at 6 Under -115 and the moneline is the Dodgers -135 on the dimeline.

Bet on baseball at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

Both pitchers got the win to start the 2016 season for their respective
clubs. Kershaw allowed just one hit over seven innings as the Dodgers
pummeled the San Diego Padres (+185 at home) 15-0. Bumgarner was a bit
shakier, giving up all three runs in just five innings of work as the
Giants thrashed the Milwaukee Brewers (+166 at home) 12-3.

These same two pitchers faced each other four times during the 2015
regular season, with the teams splitting the series 2-2. Three of the
games went under despite the total dipping as low as 5.5 runs. The
Dodgers have a long list of injured players heading into the weekend,
including catcher Yasmani Grandal (.756 OPS last year), second baseman
Howie Kendrick (.746 OPS), and worst of all, outfielder Andre Ethier
(.852 OPS), who isn't expected to play until June because of a broken
tibia.
