Contest Types and Special Contests

Fanpicks.com
has more contest types than any other daily fantasy site! Here are some
tips and some video instruction. If you still need a hand, our support
team is ready to assist you!

Salary Cap
  • Click the "Enter" button to join the contest.
  • Select your players according to the positions required by the contest.
  • You must stay under the salary cap. Above your lineup the page will
tell you the amount of the salary cap, how much salary you have
remaining, and the avg. salary per player left to select. Don't worry,
the site won't let you submit a lineup that is over the salary cap!
  • Click on a player to see his player card, stats and notes.
  • Hover over the injury symbol to see the injury status of a player.
  • Click "Enter Game" to submit your lineup. The cost of the contest will be deducted from your balance.

Fantasy Point Spread
  • In the lobby click the Pointspread tab or look for the PS symbol next to a contest.
  • Click the "Enter" button to join the contest.
  • Select your players according to the positions required by the contest..
  • There is no salary cap, pick any players!
  • Each player has a positive (+) or negative (-) pointspread or (0)
next to him in the PS column. The player's fantasy point score will be
adjusted by his pointspread during the contest. Standard site scoring is
    still used.
  • Example. If you picked Aaron Rodgers at -9.5 and he scores 24.5
fantasy points, the 9.5 is automatically subtracted and his total
    adjusted score is 15.0 points..
  • Click on a player to see his player card, stats and notes.
  • Hover over the injury symbol to see the injury status of a player.
  • Click "Enter Game" to submit your lineup. The cost of the contest will be deducted from your balance.

Cross Sport
  • In the lobby click the Cross Sport tab or look for the red XS symbol to the left of the contest name.
  • Click the "Enter" button to join the contest.
  • You will be able to choose players from 2 or more different leagues, combined into one lineup!
  • Select your players according to the positions required by the
contest. Typically there are 6 positions for one of the sports and 3
    positions for the second sport.
  • The contest may be Salary Cap or Fantasy Pointspread. If you are unfamiliar with these please read the sections above.
  • Click on a player to see his player card, stats and notes.
  • Hover over the injury symbol to see the injury status of a player.
  • Click "Enter Game" to submit your lineup. The cost of the contest will be deducted from your balance.

The fans at Quicken Loans Arena will be watching game 2 of the Eastern
Conference semi-finals between the Atlanta Hawks and the Cleveland
Cavaliers when they take their seats on Wednesday. The Hawks had a late
lead in the opener after being down 18 earlier in the game. The Hawks

it as Lebron took over the game down the stretch.

The Cavaliers were a 104-93 winner in their most recent outing at home
against the Hawks. They covered the -7.5-point spread as favorites,
while the total score (197) made winners of UNDER bettors.

Last time out for Atlanta, they were a 104-93 loser as they battled the
Cavaliers on the road. The Hawks failed to cover in the match as a
+7.5-point underdog, while 197 combined points moved the game UNDER for

The Washington Capitals may have been the top team in the NHL during the
regular season, but if they don't beat the Pittsburgh Penguins this
Wednesday (8 PM ET, NBCSN) in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference
semifinal, it could mean an early trip to the golf course. Pittsburgh
carries a 2-1 series lead into Wednesday's game at the Consol Energy
Center after beating the Caps 3-2 Monday night as a –140 home favourite.
Oddsmakers have the Pens as a -130 favorite on the Moneyline and the
total is at 5.

Bet on hockey at Bodog and get a free 100% bonus.

Not much has gone right for the Capitals since they took a 3-0 lead over
the Philadelphia Flyers in the first round. Washington has lost four of
the past six games, and defenseman Brooks Orpik (three goals, plus-11)
was handed a three-game suspension for a late hit on Pittsburgh
blueliner Olli Maatta. Orpik won't be available until Game 6 – if the
Capitals make it that far.

The Penguins have accomplished all this without the services of their
No. 1 goaltender; Marc-Andre Fleury (.921 save percentage) has been out
with a concussion since early April. Matt Murray (.930 SV%) started the
last six games for Pittsburgh, and his only loss was in Game 1 of this
series, when Washington (–135 at home) prevailed 4-3 in overtime.

The Detroit Tigers and the Cleveland Indians will both be trying to pick
up a win on Tuesday when they battle at Progressive Field.

The Tigers will give the ball to starter Justin Verlander in this one.
Right hander Verlander is 2-2 this season with a 5.46 ERA.

Verlander's opponent in this one will be Josh Tomlin. The Indians right
hander has a 3.18 ERA to go along with a 3-0 record this season.

Oddsmakers currently have the Indians listed as 125-moneyline favorites versus the Tigers, while the game's total is sitting at 8.

In their last action, Cleveland was a 2-1 loser on the road against the
Phillies. Bettors on Philadelphia at 113 on the moneyline collected
their winnings from that game, while the total score (3) sent UNDER
bettors home happy as well.

The Tigers were a 6-5 winner in their most recent outing on the road

on the moneyline, while the total score (11) was good news for OVER
bettors.

The Miami Heat and the Toronto Raptors are both ready for the Eastern
Conference semi-finals on Tuesday when they meet at Air Canada Centre.
Both had hard fought victories in round one of the 2016 NBA Playoffs.
The Raptors were taken to 7 games by the Pacers and the Heat were taken
to task by the Hornets. Miami got to rest some of their starters as they
routed the Charlotte while Toronto had a close one against a feisty
Indiana team.

Oddsmakers currently have the Raptors listed as 4½-point favorites versus the Heat, while the game's total is sitting at 191.

Toronto won its last outing, a 89-84 result against the Pacers on May
01. The Raptors failed to cover in that game as a -6-point favorite,
while the 173 combined points took the game UNDER the total.

Miami was a 106-73 winner in its last match at home against the Hornets.
They covered the -6-point spread as favorites, while the total score of
179 sent UNDER bettors to the payout window.

Miami:

Team record: 52-37 SU,47-41-1 ATS

The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Miami's last 5 games

Miami is 2-8 ATS in its last 10 games on the road

The Portland Trail Blazers tee-off against the Golden State Warriors
this Tuesday night at Oracle Arena in Game 2 of this best-of-seven
matchup in the Western Conference Semifinals. BetAnySports
has listed the Warriors as 10-point home favorites and the total for
the game has been set at 213.5. Bettors have bet the game down to where
the Warriors are now a 9.5 point favorite and the total is down to a
solid 213. Tip-off is slated for 10:30 p.m. (ET) and the game will be
broadcast nationally on TNT.

Portland got past the heavily depleted Los Angeles Clippers in six games
to advance to this round, but a painfully slow start in Game 1 of this
series led to a 118-106 loss as a 9.5-point road underdog on BetAnySports’ closing line.
The Trail Blazers are now just 3-10 against the spread in their last 10
games. The total in that game went OVER the 210.5-point line and it has
gone OVER in their last three contests.

Damian Lillard has been the team’s leading scorer all season long with
an average of 25.1 points per game. Despite the fact that he scored 30
points in a losing effort in Game 1, he is going to have to do a much
better job shooting the ball after going just 8-for 26 from the field.
Portland was the sixth-highest scoring team in the league during the
regular season with 105.1 PPG, but it fell to 20th in points allowed (104.3).

Golden State continues to press-on without the help of Stephen Curry.
While there is a possibility that the league’s MVP could return to the
lineup in Game 3 of this series, his team continues to light-up the
scoreboard without him. The Warriors have scored 114 points or more in
each of their last three games and Klay Thompson lit things up this past
Sunday with a game-high 37 points. Draymond Green has also helped to
fill the void with 14.8 points and 10.2 rebounds in the postseason.

Curry missed two games of the Warriors’ opening playoff series against
Houston with an ankle injury and another game with an ailing knee, but
Golden State was still able to get past the Rockets in just five games.
It is now 7-1 both SU and ATS in its last eight outings and while the
total did go OVER in Game 1 of this series it had stayed UNDER BetAnySports’ closing line in six of its previous eight outings.

The Warriors continue to prove that they can win big even with Curry out
of the lineup and I like their chances to keep things rolling at home
this Tuesday night with another big win both SU and ATS.
